Why do we have just 1 shot on target on over 10 attempts? Do you know jota hasn't scored a goal in the champions league this season?
Look at the strikers of other top teams mbappe, lewamdowski, Harry kane, haaland, isak. Then imagine relying on jota.....
No wonder salah has had to bail us out every time. Jota is a midtable player at best. There's no disagreement with position on Jota, I still stand on my word, he still better than Nunez right now , what has your Nunez contributed since he came in from bench? Absolutely nothing 1 Like |

He made terrible accusation about the man and published them in his book that has now gone global. That means, if those details are false, how will he retrieve the book from the thousands that have bought it globally
If we are in Afe Babalola’s shoes, and someone wrote terrible things to destroy our hard earned reputation, and have the effrontery to publish them in a book that would be read by children that are not yet born, am not sure we would take it likely. I don’t know Afe Babalola and I don’t know Dele Farotimi. I just took my time to digest the information objectively and dispassionately. I will advise us to do the same Now is not the right time to criticize Mr Dele, the case is already the court of law, so please wait till hearing and verdict . Mr Dele is a civil right activist, he may have evidence to back up his accusations , until then...... |

Politics / Re: We Won't Be Able To Pay Salaries If Tax Reform Bills Scale Through - Gov Zulum by Demurray: 5:48pm On Nov 29, 2024 |
VanuatuWycombe:
He doesn’t have one bit of point. State governors are used to Arm-chair ruling. That’s why any and every dun..ce become state governors and do 8 years easily. They are never challenged. They follow the old template of their failure predecessors.
They pay crumbs as salaries to their people and eat the remaining allocations and IRG, including security votes.
Tax law is supposed to be changing every year, to reflect the reality of current economic situations. That’s why you see the UK’ Finance Act changes every fiscal year with many adjustments to tax rates, how to file returns, tax exempts and reliefs etc.
I only heard of Finance Act once in my life in Nigeria. Since that year, they have not reviewed it again.
This Tax Reform we are trying to carry out is long long over due and for Taiwo Oyedele to have left PwC and chair this reform, Taiwo and team mean well for us.
You are part of the people that are crying for a better country. Now part of the reforms is our tax law but you are still complaining. Nigerians are used to being spoon-fed and it’s not helping us.
Every state in the US has its own state tax, which is different from federal tax. You can buy something in a state and pay 10% tax on it. In another state within the US, you can buy the same thing and pay a lesser or higher percentage or you may not pay any tax on it at all. That’s how country is run. You don’t bind all states together with one rope. There won’t be development. It’s as if 15 men want to carry a fridge, only 7 among the 15 men may be the ones really carrying the fridge with all their power while others will just pose and be grunting and panting as if they are carrying it.
All some states wait for in Nigeria is monthly the monthly allocation. They join it with little IGR and they are fine.
You can fact-check me. By now, UK would have announced how the tax climate will look like in 2025.
We don’t have or pay 10% of the kind of taxes they pay in the UK and other developed countries.
Our own common Land Use Decree is as hold as 1976 and that’s the same law government will use in paying you when they take over your property. The same thing is applicable to laws on criminal and civil fines. They are super super old. We need to update them so as to be fair to everybody.
Why would a state governor be afraid of tax reform laws, if such state governors and his predecessors have robust investments for the state and they also save well?
The North too has great potential in agricultural products which could spur industrialization.
State governors should go to China and bring machines that can process raw materials into finished or semi finished goods for another company in that value chain to buy and process further. I don’t see why each state can’t generate common 300 megawatts of electricity from all the allocations they have been collecting, even if it warrants they borrow a little more to add to it. By now they won’t be crying of tax reforms.
They can also go to The Netherlands and get their Agric models and tweak it to suit their own situations and run such models sincerely and transparently.
Our governors are not sincere and they are too dâft, cünñïng and laz.y. They are th ieves. Oil dey your head . You have said it all 1 Like |

idahme: People like the OP is the reason women never take accountability and responsibilities for themselves and their actions, to them men are always the problem.
Just like the Baltazar case where a man consented sex with 400 women somehow the man is the one at fault and not the 400 women who committed adultery against their husbands because people who reason like OP exists on the surface of the earth.
For God's sake , women are adults capable of making an informed decision and not children who expect adults to take accountability for them at all times.
If you are a woman and can't take accountability, close your legs and stay at home else be ready to take full responsibility and accountability for your actions. Two people had sex and for some reason the man is at fault? What a reasoning.
People like OP is the reason jungle justice still abound in Africa, they will never look at two sides of a coin as long as it's a man he is guilty and he should be unalived for the sake of his low critical thinking skills.
You better learn accountability so that you can instill it in your female children when you have one It can't be said better. You are absolutely spot on |
