Ashirioluwa:

If you turn your passport in at VFS any day before the 30-day window, it will be assumed that you've submitted your passport to the IRCC office before the deadline.

Note that you can change your appointment date too by checking frequently to see if you will see a new date

Thank you sooo much for your response. I appreciate.

Ashirioluwa:

For in-person passport submission:
You need to schedule appointment, and go to your appointment with

- The appointment letter
- Passport
- Passport request letter
- VFS consent form

The transmission fee, if applicable, will be paid during the passport submission at VFS.

Package transmission fees only apply to applicants who submit their passport at a different VFS location from the one where they initially provided their biometrics.

For example, if your biometric was done at VFS Lagos, you won't pay the transmission fee if you submit your passport to VFS Lagos, but you will be charged if you submit the passport to any other application center other than VFS Lagos.

@Ashirioluwa Thank you for your responses to people, please I have a question/clarification to make and I'd appreciate your advice. The appointment date and time (afternoon) I got for in person submission at VFS is 2 days before the expiry of the 30 days. Do you think my passport would get to the embassy within the 2 days?

If anyone can help with this question, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
Hello @cashmadam, just to help clarify again. My sister went for her interview yesterday and she was allowed to go in with her car key. She was told she could keep it in her clear folder at the security screening point, they did not have an issue with that.

Hello all, I’m in desperate need for advice. Kindly don’t ignore me if you have the proper information 🙏

I had invited my younger sister to visit me in the UK, and she just got denied. She’s 19 years of age and in her 3rd year in the university. She just finished her first MBBS exams and her Dean of faculty had equally written on a letter head introducing and acknowledging her studentship.

I want to re-apply for her immediately, and I will show below the letter of refusal.
However, documents submitted from both ends included;

From me (invitee/Sponsor);
1. 3 months bank statements
2. 3 months work payslips
3. Utility bill
4. Offer letter from work
5. Data page of passport
6. BRP ( Residence Permit)
7. Invitation letter stating she’s coming to see her newborn nephew and also visit some interesting sites

From my sister’s end;
1. Dean of faculty letter of introduction
2. 1 month zenith bank statement of account showing above 500k
3. Student ID card
4. Letter of admission
5. A picture of us together

Note 1: Application declared that she has two other siblings here in the UK, and all on work visas
Note 2: She is in a private Uni

Attached is the ECO’s reasons for refusal, kindly advice 🙏

Sorry about it, you could also go through the UK visit visa thread. you may find it helpful

Good morning,

I was refused UK visa in 2013,but currently have 2 expired US visas, 5 expired schengen visas, 1 current 5year US visa, 1 current 4years Canadian visa. Is it safe to apply for two years? Since it would be my first UK issued visa.

Like most people have replied, you can. Using my personal experience, was denied previously for 6 months visa, when I applied again, I applied for 2 years and got it by God's grace. Just attach all necessary documents and hope and pray for the best.

Documents Submitted
Cover letters

Thank you very much for this. I do appreciate. Did you do for standard visit visa also?

From what I understand, "Keep My Passport", only works with Standard visit visa
