Marketing Ifeanyi Uba should be one of the toughest job to do in Anambra, even the party he entered is not helping the matter, am not a fan of soludo, for me he hasn't lived up to expectations, the guy dey fall my hand, we expected so much from him.. but Ifeanyi is is not a better alternative, we haven't felt his impact in the senate..

Bro i was born and brought up in ANAMBRA Onitsha precisely, The truth is that APGA is strong in Anambra, we all agree to that, but we expected more from soludo being a formal CBN governor, I went home few months ago, I almost cried seeing how bad the roads are in my area, the Dubai taiwan he promise us, we are still waiting for him, all the promises he made he is yet to accomplish anyone.

I don't support any political party I just want the best for my state and Nigeria at large. let us stop praising people that have done below expectation it won't favour us at all, is high time we come out and call a spade a spade

In as much i dont like Soludo but Ifeanyi Uba cant beat him, APC as a party will demarket him in the state, Many Anambrians hate the party and anything that comes from it, I will advice him to join PDP or LP to stand a chance, going to the senate was easy for him because of the internal party problem that was going on in APGA AND PDP...

i came to Lagos since 2018, and my advice to newcomers is to avoid Computer Village at all cost, I repeat avoid it.
2. You can get to any destination in lagos from Oshodi, inshort if you miss road, just find a way to Oshodi
3. Lagos has many slums and ghettos, be careful when moving in those areas
4. Try and learn basic yoruba it will help a lot
5. For the men- Leave women alone, most ladies are hustlers, cost of womanizing is expensive especially if you are living in the island like me.
6. Dont insult Tinubu or Apc in an open place... to avoid wahala
I can add more but let me stop here

Op must be primary school student....lol
Since igala owns Anambra from your assumption and they control major areas in the state...
that means they are the majority, they should take over the government nah... who is stopping them..
Oga igala is a minority tribe in Anambra currently, most of them have change their names to Igbo names.

OredoPikin:

How is bayelsa a tiny state?
Bayelsa is bigger than Lagos, osun and ekiti.
Bayelsa is bigger than enugu, Anambra, ebonyi, imo
Bayelsa is bigger than akwa ibom
They only have the least population please

Bro take it easy in disinforming the public, I lived in Bayelsa for more than 4yrs before relocating to LAGOS, if you include the water bodies you are right if not, Bayelsa is the smallest state in Nigeria, most places are sand filled even the almighty yenagoa, then the rest is a swampy area. i have lived in 5 different local governments, and during rainy seasons many people are stranded.

Let advocate that the government should wake up and do what is necessary, the current government is not doing much to change the situation, the hunger in that land is much, and we are all keeping silent about it.

The people in that state are great but they are unlucky to have unserious leaders, I pray that one day that state will turn around and be the tourist headquarters of Nigeria....

I will always advocate for a better nigeria but we have to call a spade a spade

On behalf of my fellow ANAMBRIANS, we disagree with creating more states from ANAMBRA, ORLU state is dead on arrival let's focus in creating Anioma state ( excluding Onitsha, Ogbaru), south east is already too small we cant keep dividing it, lets expand

Politics / Re: Don’t Antagonise El-Rufai, Yahaya Bello, Sowunmi Cautions Tinubu by Dera1000(m): 8:31am On Apr 30
casualobserver:

Trust me, it’s the opposition you should be worrying about. You may not appreciate it now but Tinubu has done more in 1 year than all presidents in the last 24! They all gave you short term comforts and that is why we are in the mess we are. You cannot see the results today because lasting reform takes time. For example when Awolowo started free education he was insulted, his shed schools were mocked, pfarmers complained about the taxes he imposed to fund it. it took Twenty years for the effect of mass education to be seen, when those students started to graduate. Today even his enemies hail him as a visionary and a hero. You don’t enrol your child in primary school and see him become a graduate tomorrow, next week, next month or next year. But while he goes through the process, you endure the pain of the struggle to finance that education. If you want to send your child to school today and expect a g radiate tomorrow, or expect you will not have to struggle to pay fees and other costs, you are not ready to have an educated child. They forget they were the same people who complained and mocked him. Our tendency for short termism is why we are in the mess we are… not Tinubu. Tinubu is not the one that did not rehabilitate a single refinery while spending almost $10b a year on subsidies for 24 years. Tinubu was not the one that subsidized the Naira for 24 years and allowed bankers and business men to make money roundtripping the Naira for 24 years without creating any factories. Etc etc etc

Like I said focus on the ineptitude of the opposition, a government no matter how good requires a formidable opposition to keep it honest. Right now PDP/LP are not an opposition because they can’t win an election the way they are going in the next 2 decades. They have not shown from their utterances and actions that they understand why they lost an election they had no right to lose. All they are doing is just noise and that is dangerous because it leads to complacency of govt. you don’t win elections by propaganda, you win by strategic planning. Atiku and Obi have been focusing on propaganda and not on strategy. It does not matter how many times you abuse Tinubu or criticize the govt or how manny boreholes you commission in the North or how many mosques you visit. The people that didn’t vote for Obi or Atiku in 2023 are not going to vote for them in 2027. Tinubu paid no attention to both during the campaign to the extent of not even dignifying them by attending a debate and won because he was strategic. He knew the people that watch debates are largely elites who are a minority and don’t decide elections. And if you cannot win an election, you are just as useless an opposition as Sowore because you are not a threat politically to the govt.

Focus your energies on Atiku and Obi because the path they are on means even if you do not like Tinubu or APC, they will continue to be in power until OBi and PDP and their supporters reset their brains. You cannot take a path that failed you in 2019, got even worse for you in 2023 and then double down on that path and think it will lead you to the promised land.

You've got a point. The economic situation in Nigeria is undeniably frustrating, and it's understandable why people are feeling the pinch. Take a look at the skyrocketing prices – it's mind-boggling. For instance, think about something as basic as a Sure deodorant. In 2019, you could snag one for ₦1200, right? Fast forward to now, and it's a jaw-dropping ₦5800 in the Ajah market. That's over a 380% increase in just a few years!

And let's talk about leadership. Many folks feel let down, especially when they see leaders like Tinubu seemingly untouched by the economic chaos. Despite being in a position of influence, his economic strategies and body language aren't instilling much confidence. It's frustrating, especially for those of us who work in finance and can see the writing on the wall.

Sure, every leader faces challenges, but the current state of affairs demands action. Our President can't afford to sit back while the country struggles. Yet, it feels like progress is at a standstill, and the gap between the haves and the have-nots is widening. It's no wonder people are skeptical of anyone singing praises for the President – it often feels like they're getting something out of it, while the rest of us are left holding the bag.

We all want what's best for Nigeria, but it's clear we're not there yet. The economic frustration is real, and it's high time our leaders started delivering real solutions instead of empty promises.

casualobserver:
Sowunmi thinks he is smart. He is trying to use reverse psychology to appear sympathetic and hopefully woo Bello and El Rufai to PDP.

He should realize that thanks to Obi and Atiku PDP is finished and any hopes of them regaining power at the center is dead thanks to Obi. The more he opens his mouth to grab the headlines, the more difficult it is for him to swallow humble pie and reconcile with PDP. He can’t become president without PDP (many of whom will never forgive him and give him their ticket) and PDP cannot win the presidency without his Ibo votes.

Obi is a regional candidate
PDP is a state party.

One day APC will lose power, the party that will wrestle power from them will not be PDP and it won’t be LP and the presidential candidate will not be Atiku or Obi. It also will not happen in the next 15 years…possibly even 23!

People seem not to grasp the mortal blow OBi and Atiku have dealt to the opposition. Statements like this from Showunmi and Obi’s daily utterances show they don’t know the magnitude of the problem they created for themselves and face going forward.

You just said my mind, PDP can never win the presidential election without Obi's support, and Obi can never be the president without the PDP's backing, for the progress of the country we need a good opposition party, PDP and labor needs to get there ass together...

I want the best for this country irrespective who wears the country as the president, I pray jagaban gets his thinking cap in other and change the current hardship in the country..

This guy should shut up. He doesn't know jack about monetary policy. CBN needs to control the inflation but raising the bank rate. That's how it's done all over the world. America did it mire than 8 times in 2022/ 2023.

Tackling insecurity in the country and providing the farmers with aid will improve food production, and inflation and hunger will reduce.. CBN rule can still wait let's tackle insecurity first, that is our major problem now, all hands must be on deck let's move the country forward.

For those blaming APC and president Tinubu for the hardship in the country, are you all aware that UK and Japan are currently in economic recession? Is it APC and Tinubu that is ruling both nations? Nobody should blame APC and Tinubu for the rot the PDP government of Jonathan caused. What we are suffering today is the result of the Jonathan government's recklessness. Peter Obi and his PDP gang brought Nigeria to her knees. May God help our dear president Tinubu to fix the country like he did in Lagos.

Am so disappointed in you, you are a disgrace to mankind, you are still playing politics at this stage, people are dying of hunger, familIes are starving to survive. pls stop writing nonsense if you don't know what to say....We played blame games during buhari tenure, and we didn't achieved anything, APC are now in power for more than 9 years, and you are still blaming PDP.. lets focus on the current government, they have the power if they want to/
