good day everyone here. my name is AKIN. im 27, I want to travel to Canada on tourism or work visa. who can help me with invitation letter. or who can assist me fully. I don't want to deal with agent

Hello Akin, you don't have to use an agent to travel to Canada. Here's what you should do.

First, go to this page and read https://www.nairaland.com/4472519/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled

Second, to get a *work and tourism visa (both at once) with a bonus of living in Canada permanently* you need to read, register and take the ielts exam. Note that you'd require and 8777 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking respectively.

Third, in order for you to be eligible to *work* , evaluate your Nigerian educational credentials with a Canadian assessment body like Wes, Ices, Iqas, etc. The more certificates the better (ie; Ond, Hnd, Pgd, Msc).

When you are done with these processes mentioned above, and have read through that link I pasted earlier, you'll be a few steps closer to getting your *all-in-1* visa.

Goodluck.

Hello, your sibling or a friend can help you submit it, go to VFS website and download the consent form. Fill the appropriate portions and sign, add this to the package you're sending to your sibling. He/she can also pick it up on your behalf. Congrats once again!! smiley

Thank you.

Hi, we submitted in person in Lagos because one of us had to be in Lagos at the time. You can however authorise any person, including dhl I believe, to submit on your behalf. It's in VFS' consent form which you will execute and forward along with your passport(s).

However, for pick up, it must either be in person or through vfs courier.

At bolded, thanks. Needed to know this

Just a brief highlight:

POF - Gift Deed (50%), 3 months statement of Dorm account and 6months statement of Naira Account (50%). I got a reference letter from Fcmb but not in the IRCC format as the lady said no before I could ask...lol.

ECA - I made a mistake earlier but by God's grace,  it was corrected before my file assessment began. I started my document evaluation with IQAS on 31st July 2017, sent my Bsc only and got acknowledgment on the 5th of September and after that i came across a post tslking sbout 2 or certificates. So i contacted IQAS and after several pleas, they agreed that i send another certificate while my file will be put on hold until they receive the new documents. After several challenges encountered in the school, my documents got to IQAS on september 26th. Received new acknowledgement October 25th and ECA arrived exactly 25mins after i made my ielts.

*Conclusion: Two or more certificates* .

IELTS - Listening humbled me big time but in all I give thanks to God and my sweet boo who after every attempt was so encouraging and prayerful. My attempts below;

Aug. 19 2017 - 1st Attempt

Sep. 30 2017 - 2nd Attempt

Oct. 28 2017 - 3rd Attempt

 *Dec. 2 2017 - 4th Attempt: L8.5, R8.0, W7.5, S8.0 (Final Attempt)*

Special salute to God, and to all the e-folks here for the amazing assistance and support you all rendered to me. It will surely end in praise for all!

Amen.

Ehen my pipu, I don come o. Copr letter was got today.
Now my challenge na when I wan leave Melbourne and to which city for Canada.
Chei... decisiona no easy o.
And yes, it states that I will be landing in Ontario. I reckon that was from my application. Does it mean I have to, or I can stop by anywhere I have friends.

The decision is entirely yours to make. I believe this research should have been done much earlier than now but in any case, just check out where you'd like to live, why youd like to live there, affordability of accommodation, job opportunities, advancement opportunities and then, make your decision.

Goodluck

What documents do you mean? International Passport? Apply for the fsw from within Canada?

If yes, then yes, you can do both.

Following the advice given by goingforward and a couple other people.

Try to put yourself in the shoes of the VO that probably has a dozen of applications to go through. In as much as you want to be detailed and through, i see no reason my your SOP should be five pages long. See your SOP as your resume or even LinkedIn profile.

Let it highlight your strong points.

Using my brother's application as an example, the SOP for the first two applications were very detailed and about 3 pages, yet he got denied. The last application had a 1 page SOP, was very brief and to the point. This doesn't mean all SOPs have to be brief, other pple have gotten approved with longer.

Given that you are also including LOE, try to paraphrase and reduce the length as u also dont want to over explain and come across like you are hiding anything

Exactly
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by DereI(f): 10:38am On Jul 05, 2018
goingforward:

Hello @Joe @Dere1,

I don't think anyone should be in a position to advise on the number of pages for an LOE or SOP.
The reason is because you do not know what content or information that the person has put in there. U may want to ask first before outrightly saying that it would bore the visa officer. U may want to ask to help read his or her SOP or LOE then better advice. So that the person does not reduce the information that may just be what the VO needs to see,

I have read on several forums and blogs outside of Nairaland, where people have said that its always better to provide more information than required if space can contain it, than providing less information.

No one here is a visa officer and you do not know what extra information they look out for which may be the icing on the cake and the additional reason for approving your application.

Please follow your heart play the devil's advocate on your application. Ask yourself this. Are all the information that I have placed there relevant and important. Are the information I have placed in there strong career or professional points or reasons for my study in Canada?

You also don't want to get a refusal and be left with the guilt that you would have added this or added that.

Then follow your heart on the number of pages.

There is no 1 size that fits all, please always know this. There is also no visa officer here on Nairaland. We are all just second guessing and leveraging on past knowledge and information based on trends of approvals or refusals.

goingforward.

Okay, I apologize to @Joe.

@Joe, try to reduce your sop. I'm only putting myself in the shoes of the VO and not claiming to be one.

I wish you the best.
