What do you think kwankwaso meant when he said he cant be VP to Obi, but Obi can be his VP in an alliance?

He is speaking Northerners viewpoint in how they see Ibo. If kwankwaso accepts to be Obi VP, thats end of his career in Nigeria.

Foreign Affairs / The Taliban: Brief History Of The Militant Group And Its Ideology, Explained by destiny35: 6:00pm On Aug 17, 2021
A history of the Taliban

The Taliban, which means “students” in the Pashto language, emerged in 1994 around the southern Afghan city of Kandahar. It was one of the factions fighting a civil war for control of the country following the withdrawal of the Soviet Union and subsequent collapse of the government.

It originally drew members from so-called “mujahideen” fighters who, with support from the United States, repelled Soviet forces in the 1980s.A history of the Taliban
The Taliban, which means “students” in the Pashto language, emerged in 1994 around the southern Afghan city of Kandahar. It was one of the factions fighting a civil war for control of the country following the withdrawal of the Soviet Union and subsequent collapse of the government.

It originally drew members from so-called “mujahideen” fighters who, with support from the United States, repelled Soviet forces in the 1980s.
Within the space of two years, the Taliban had gained sole control over most of the country, proclaiming an Islamic emirate in 1996 with a harsh interpretation of Islamic law. Other mujahideen groups retreated to the north of the country.

Following the Sept 11, 2001 attacks in the United States by Al-Qaeda, US-backed forces in the north swept into Kabul in November under the cover of heavy US airstrikes.

The Taliban melted away into remote areas, where it began a 20-year-long insurgency against the Afghan government and its Western allies.

The Taliban’s founder and original leader was Mullah Mohammad Omar, who went into hiding after the Taliban was toppled. So secretive were his whereabouts that his death, in 2013, was only confirmed two years later by his son.

What is the Taliban’s ideology?

During its five years in power, the Taliban enforced a strict version of sharia law. Women were predominantly barred from working or studying, and were confined to their homes unless accompanied by a male guardian.

Public executions and floggings were common, Western films and books were banned, and cultural artefacts seen as blasphemous under Islam were destroyed. Opponents and Western countries accuse the Taliban of wanting to return to this style of governance in the areas it already controls – a claim the group denies.

The Taliban said earlier this year it wanted a “genuine Islamic system” for Afghanistan that would make provisions for women’s and minority rights, in line with cultural traditions and religious rules.

There are, however, signs the group has already started to prohibit women from working in some areas.

The Taliban: International recognition

Only four countries, including neighbour Pakistan, recognised the Taliban government when it was in power. The vast majority of other countries, along with the United Nations, instead recognised a group holding provinces to the north of Kabul as the rightful government-in-waiting.

The United States and the United Nations imposed sanctions on the Taliban, and most countries show little sign it will recognise the group diplomatically.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said earlier this month Afghanistan risks becoming a pariah state if the Taliban takes power and commits atrocities.
Other countries such as China have begun cautiously signalling they may recognise the Taliban as a legitimate regime.

Though I accept that we are more Nigeria than every other tribes in Nigeria but we Igbo supposed to start thinking about home and see that Nigeria are not working for us. Tell me how many Igbos cerebraties or politician has condemn killing in Obigbo, Enugu or this recent one but will be quick to condemn the one happening in Kadunna, Oyo. Igbo need to unite for their quest and you will see no ethnic or group will dominate them in this Country. Believe me, the Yorubas don't wish Igbos well. I know there are some imposters that impersonate but the reality is that Igbos have an open mind with all Southerners including middle belt on the issue of insecurity in Nigeria but same can't be said of Yorubas. They always find a way to justify any evil the Nigerian state commits against Igbos.

If the tragedy that occurred in Orlu yesterday happened in say Ijebu Ode, 99% of Igbos will condemn it.

It's quite sad.

We supported them over the Sunday Igboho and Fulani issue but go to front page and see them saying all sorts of evil things against ESN. Meanwhile ESN was formed to tackle the same herdsmen issue Sunday Igboho and Amotekun was formed to fight.
My brother this not about Yoruba so stop creating ethnic division here. Op made a vital point which every individual and Nigeria should condemn because it could happened to me and you. No where on this earth Security operatives goes to town shooting sporadically with no target , is no paper but bullet and can killed anyone. And the useless Governor instead of asking the Security men to fished out those soldiers who committed those atrocities goes about declaring curfew there by giving them more avenue to killed more innocent people. I'm certainly sick and tired the way things are happening in this Country.

This country does not have an army in the real sense of it, what we have are a bunch of ethnic militia on uniform being sponsored by government.

Tell me which normal army will go to a market where law abiding citizens are doing business and start killing everyone in sight, including women and children then burn their businesses?? Can such primitivity happen in ordinary Ghana? Can it happen in South Africa?? Can it happen in Kenya?? Is this not how Boko Haram operates?
Certainly true bro. It baffles me how Nigeria security operates, this nonsense can not even happened in Somalia.

Many innocent have died in this Country in the hand of Security men for things they don't know while the killers keep on working free among us. what kind of representative do we have in government, what kind of Useless government do we have and what kind of citizen are we that no one will rise when an innocent blood are being wasted? This is some of the reasons people were denied history in Nigeria Educational curriculum, by Nigeria govt.

IGBO IN NON-SOUTH EASTERN STATES OF THE FEDERATION

RIVERS STATE
1) Egbema
2) Ecthe
3) Omuma
4) Ndoni
5) Ikwerre
6) Ekpeye
7) Obigbo
 Opobo
9) Ogba

EDO STATE
10) Igbanke/Igboakiri
In fact most people do not even know that Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa and his wife are Igbo from Igbanke in Uhuonde Local Government area of EDO state that was formerly in Orhionwon LGA .
The mother of the late Samuel Odaigbovo Ogbemudia is Igbanke!
Most indigenes of this town just like Ika people bear hybrid names that most often could just jolly well pass as EDO because of their names like Nduka Irabor, Jim Ovia, Omorogie Nwawanne, Collins Edumaruse etc

DELTA STATE
11). Ika
12) Ndokwa
13) Ukwuani
14) Aniocha
15) Oshimili

BAYELSA STATE
16) Osekwenike, Abuetor and Eke Okpokri villages, all in Sagbama area of bayelsa, are all Igbo of Ukwuani stock, and as such, are of the Anioma igbo clan of the Igbo ethnic group in BAYELSA

BENUE STATE
19)The Igbos in Benue State particularly those in Ado, Oju, Obi and Okpoku LGAs of the state were in existence before the advent of Christian religion in Nigeria.
The Igbo found in Benue are: Umuezeokoha, Umuezeoka, Oriuzor, Umuoghara, Amaekka and Amaezekwe all in Ezza communities, Izzi, Ezzamgbo and Effium, these are the people who would have been in present-day Ebonyi State but due to the fact that the Nigerian government then carved them into Benue in order to suppress the population of the East.

Apart from the Ezza-speaking clan, particularly the people of Umuezeokoha that has over 300 villages, if you are to calculate the number of Igbo-speaking villages in Benue State, outside Umuezeokaoha, you would be talking altogether about over 600 villages. Three of the biggest markets in Benue are all in the Igbo-speaking part.
The markets are Inikiri Ichari, Iddah, Iduokpe.
There are also some Igbo speaking Idoma towns in Benue State.

KOGI STATE
20) THE indigenouse Igbo-speaking communities in Kogi state especially in Ibaji and Igalamela/Odolu LGAs are Eke Avurugo community, such as Nwajala, Umuoye, Ubulie-Umuez, ozara, and umuoye and many more.

He didn't but would Yoruba remain silent or support the move if he where to be an Igbo, but they will choose to incite violence against Igbos through social media that is the point Op is making which every Nigeria know is true.

I once said it that Yoruba are more dangerous than Hausa/Fulani in Nigeria. Every sane man know that Yoruba hypocrisy is the reason Nigeria are still together. Igbos are ready at anytime for balkanization of this Country but will always hit a rock because each time any Igbos make movement Yorubas will flood SM condemning such move calling all other tribes against an Igbo but when it happened from them Igbos will either support them or remain silent . when something start going wrong they will divert the attention and blames to Igbos, you can never see any Yoruba take a blame rather he will start calling on others when things start going wrong. They do it during Biafra war, during SARs protests, today DJ SWITCH are still called names not because of any other things but because of her igboness.
