GOAL gives you the details to follow a crucial game between the Super Eagles and Bafana Bafana that will played on Friday in Uyo. Nigeria will be aiming at getting their first win in Group C of the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifier when they host rivals South Africa on Friday, June 7. The Super Eagles have managed to collect just two points in the opening two rounds, which is not a good opening for a team of its calibre. The Hugo Broos-led Bafana Bafana started their campaign with a win over Benin before falling away against Rwanda in their second outing. It explains why the match is crucial for either side since it might go a long way in determining who will qualify for the global competition which will be jointly held by the United States, Mexico and Canada. Kick-off time Game: Nigeria vs South Africa Date 7 June 2024 Kick-off: 20.00 WAT, 21.00 SAT Venue: Godswill Akpabio Stadium 1 Like

This is the Lecturer in Federal University Lokoja with the news circulating that he was in the process of having an intimacy with the student before he was caught. This is how they met him in his house. They did not meet him with boxers, I live in same compound with him. I can't conclude wether there is something between them, but my concern is the speculation that he was on boxers which is not true. He was met like this. #Copied. 2 Likes

We boarded Kano bound saloon car from Zuba on Saturday 21st October, 2023. We began the journey around 11pm. Few kilometres from Zaria, around 4:30am on Sunday 22,10,2023, the driver turned off the head light and started struggling with the wheel and stopped suddenly. He shouted thieves, thieves while everybody was scampering for safety in the bush, the driver took two expensive phones (both worth over ₦200k) and hid it in the bush. We remain there from that 4:30am till around 6am when the sun was rising before coming out of the dark frozen bushy havens. When everybody gathered, all our properties where intact including the car. So we were wondering why the thieves will not beat us or take our properties. We started asking each other who saw the thieves, no body saw them except the driver. In that process, we discovered that the two phones plugged for charging at the front inside the car were missing. We searched everybody to no avail. It became obvious at that moment that the driver was the suspect. We threatened him with police arrest, he denied it. We had to move into the bush were the driver came from . Lo and behold, the two different passengers phones in one place. To evade arrest, he pleaded with us to stop another vehicle for us to proceed that he cannot find his key. We were six passengers (3 hausas plus the driver and 3 non hausas). The 3 hausas collected money and left that they leave him to God. Since it is not our area, we had to forgive him and just go with another car. One of the phones belong to a Hausa guy and the other to a non Hausa lady. This is the picture of the driver. He is called Abba in case you see him in Dankogi pack in Zuba, Abuja, avoid him please. Especially those traveling late at night. I wonder why people keep comparing political rally that takes place in every state of the federation to a religious gathering the people gather from all the states of the federation. If Obedient rally is just one venue, do you think the small venue can contain Obi's supporters?

The Nigerian Government has disclosed plans to carry out COVID-19 vaccination in churches on Sundays. Faisal Shuaib, the Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, disclosed this on Tuesday while addressing Christian leaders on the second phase of COVID-19 vaccinations. He said: “I am glad to inform you that from this Phase 2 of the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out, we have introduced Sunday Vaccination. “This is to ensure members of the Christian community who may not have had access to the vaccine for whatever reason are given an opportunity to be vaccinated at their worship places. “I must say that feedback from the field is very encouraging and I sincerely thank all Christian leaders who have given the vaccination team access to their churches and their members to receive COVID-19 vaccine during Sunday service.”

I ran into my friend's chart with his wife and what I saw confused me. The wife sent this: Since I told you we don't have any thing here you didn't even care to ask how we have been managing. It must not be that you give cos I know you don't even have. But showing concern will even strengthen me And my guy had to reply this: SINCERELY FEOM MY HEART, WHAT I AM ABOUT TO TELL YOU IS NOT BASED ON ANNOYANCE OR FIGHT. IT IS JUST A PASSIONATE APPEAL Please Ma, can you just help me reduce the hypertension that is building in me gradually? Trust me, if you are this entitled, I will die and leave you people behind! Yes. I may not be able to cry out loud but trust me, I am feeling heat. 50k was what I got this month, I asked you if you can add 10k to the 2k I sent earlier with the 5k you said they gave you making it 17k for this month so I can make deposit of 40k for stuff. You agreed, I paid the deposit, borrowed 15k to bring it, still have 10k to balance the guy with the 15k I just borrowed plus 10k balance of house rent. I think since I have been away, this is the only month I have ever given you people as low as 10k. Believe me, even 10Naira, I did not take from my whole salary. I had to even run into debt. (Rent - 10k, the guy - 10k, borrowed - 15k) 35k in all even with my salary far. If I am going through all this only to hear that my people are still finding it difficult, it will shorten my my life. I beg you my dear wife, kindly help me supplement. I am working for you guys. I don't enjoy the money I get. My only enjoyment is to see you people spend the money. Kindly help me live a little longer by managing whatever I have for you for now if you can't add anything which I quite understand due to children care. Believe me, I am not quarrelling you, I just want you to know that I develop high blood pressure anytime I hear that you people are not living well. In as much as you expect me to provide everything the family needs, I still plead that you understand that the rest of the money go into other family project which is beneficial to all of us. Please, help me. I really pray we don't have any child again so we can manage our life well. Once again, I am not angry or fighting with you, I am just appealing for your support so that I don't get overwhelmed. So people, does the wife's message worth this reply? MODE PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL. 1 Like |

Take your time and read through. 1. In the lifetime of most Nigerian family settings, there are 3 Dispensations of Power. 2. The 1st is the first 25 years in the life of the family (father, mother, children) where power indisputably rest with the father. 3. The 2nd is after the kids have grown & started working when the power shifts to the mother. 4. The 3rd is when the kids move out of the family house or start their own families when the power moves to the children. 6. We'll start from the 1st Dispensation. Total dominance of the father. He is the Lion of the Tribe of his House. The boss. 7. During this dispensation, the father rules with an iron fist. He barks orders & determines what does or does not happen. 8. The father often mettes out corporal punishment to the recalcitrant children. They grow to fear him more than they love him. 10. The father is the provider for the family & everyone is aware of that fact with all attendant consequences. 11. Then the 2nd Dispensation sets in. The children have finished school and have started working. Power shifts to the mother. 12. When the children start earning their own money, for some reason, it's their mothers they decide to look after. They are closer to her. 13. While the father was in charge, he was busy with the business of providing. He didn't have much time to be a friend to the children. 14. They spent more time with their mum and invariably grew closer to her. They also see their mum as co-victims of the father's tyranny. 15. The mother takes centre stage at this point. She is the first to know what's happening with the children & she has advantage. 16. Should any of the daughters give birth, she is the one that goes for babysitting and the children spoil her with gifts. 17. At this stage, the father is wishing for some bond with the children like they have with their mother but that boat has sailed. 18. Because the mother doesn't rely much on the father for her needs at this stage, she is less likely to tolerate his lordship. Friction. 19. Then the 3rd and last dispensation. Power has shifted to the children. They are self-sufficient, live on their own & have own families. 20. More often than not, whenever there is a quarrel between father & mother, the children side the mother.Years of joint-victimhood at play 21. Children have been known to come to the house to warn their father not to 'disturb' their mother. Next thing, extended visitations. 22. Woe betide the father if his finances are precarious at this stage. You will be humble by force. The gang-up is real. 23. This causes most men to fall ill & develop different complications. By the time the forces are arrayed against you, you will think well. 24. Stroke, Hypertension, High-Blood Pressure. The man has a large family but no relationship with them in later life. Troubling thought. 25. Moral, dear men, while the power lies with us, let us wield it with posterity in mind. It won't be with us forever. 26. With the way you are treating your wife now, how will she treat you when power shifts to her? 27. What relationship do you have with your family? Loving dad or despotic, tyrannical provider? 28. Remember, the children always side with their mother. Aim to do enough to at least get a fair hearing in future moments of family strife 30. Invest wisely for the future so that you won't have to beg to be taken care of if despite your best efforts, you find yourself alone. Parenthood is not easy despite its joys. There is no manual on how it works. May God help us to make the best of a really tough job. When its your turn pls rule right! |

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and member of the White House's coronavirus task force, told CNN he will begin a "modified quarantine" after making a "low risk" contact with the White House staffer who tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The "low risk" assessment means he was not in close proximity to the person who tested positive during the time when that person was known to be positive for the virus. He is not doing a full quarantine like Dr. Stephen Hahn, the commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration. Hahn came into contact with an individual who tested positive for coronavirus, an FDA official confirmed to CNN on Friday. Dr. Robert Redfield, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will self-quarantine for two weeks after he was exposed to a person at the White House who tested positive for Covid-19, a CDC spokesperson confirmed to CNN. Officials will not identify the person to whom Hahn or Redfield were exposed. However, Katie Miller, the press secretary to Vice President Mike Pence, tested positive on Friday. She is known to often be in the White House coronavirus task force meetings.

I was at the reception of the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital for Corona Virus test, they referred me to GOPD, I got to the GOPD, they referred me to Main Laboratory, from Main Laboratory, I was asked to go to SS Wali's center. Attendants at the center shouted at the mention of CORONA VIRUS! I was embarrassed and still maintain my cool. They emediately directed me to Emergency Ward. At this point, I got discouraged and left the AKTH! On my way home, I got a news that one man was ignored until his death this morning; signaling the first casualty of COVID-19 in Nigeria. May God help us in this Nigeria.

I have had friends complaining that they are not told about their reward as RATECH in the 2019 General Election. Anyone with idea please? No training allowance, no transport/feeding money and worst still, no idea of what they are to be paid. This is a clear case resulting from the huge number of unemployment in Nigeria These guys are just working blindly, oblivious of their benefits. Anyone with idea should please share with us. |

1. The most populous migrants within Nigeria are Igbos 2. The most preferred time for these Igbos to come home is during Christmas/New Year or Easter 3. Travelling to any other part of Nigeria EXCEPT South-East during festive period attracts no influx of passengers due to the fact that they (non-Igbos) are either mostly home-based or they travel without season 4. A driver who loads let's say 16 passengers from Lagos to Onitsha during festive season will certainly not get half when returning; hence, he (the driver) charges for to-fro so that even if he blows empty back, he will not loose 5. You are adviced to study this and try to be fare in your judgement |

Any body close to this present administration in Kogi State should please, tell whoever is in charge of pension that my father is yet to receive a penny since the beginning of this present administration in Kogi State. I will appreciate any kind of intervention. |

BREAKING: Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello escapes mob attack by the whiskers in Idah By Samson Atekojo Usman on April 12, 2017 Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Wednesday evening escaped mob attack on his convoy at Idah. He was on his way from Ibaji, the hometown of his deputy. An eye witness who spoke with DAILY POST under anonymity explained that he went to Ibaji, to flag off a road construction. It was gathered that the youths of Idah town sighting the governor, immediately mobilised and blocked the road waiting for his return. On his return, security agents attached to his convoy, having seen the road block, immediately began sporadic shooting and in the ensuing melee, people scampered for safety. But those who were fearless, descended on his convoy and battered vehicles while chanting “pay Kogi workers’ salary.” The report also showed that the Governor was to supervise demolition of a house belonging to the father of an alleged kidnapper, but had to quickly rush out of Idah having seen the audacity with which the attack on him was being carried out. As at the time of filing this report, Idah town was said to have been deserted for fear of reprisal attack. The government is yet to issue official reaction on the matter. |
