Health / Free Program Finally Reveal How To Reverse Diabetes In 30 Days! by DiabetesDr: 7:18am On Jul 13, 2017 |
Here’s important news for anyone with diabetes. A remarkable program is now available that reveals scientifically proven principles that can help trigger your body to produce more insulin naturally, reversing diabetes symptoms without the need for medication. Diabetes is a condition in which sugar is not properly absorbed by the body. Globally the incidence of diabetes is expected to exceed 250 million people by 2025 – resulting in 35 million heart attacks, 13 million strokes, 6 million episodes of renal failure, 8 million instances of blindness or eye surgery, 2 million amputations and 62 million deaths – that is a measure of the scale of the problem. While diabetes belongs at the top of the healthcare agenda, it has yet to be given that position. There are more than 7 million diabetics in Nigeria; with another 10 million people having pre-diabetes (placing them at high risk for developing Type II diabetes). This equates to 17 million Nigerians having diabetes, or being at high risk. With attention focused on blood sugar and insulin levels, however, the underlying cause of all the devastation has been overlooked. According to health advocate and author Jetro Olowole, many doctors are failing to treat the real underlying cause of diabetes. Instead, they are treating the symptoms with chemicals and pharmaceutical medications that often leave the sufferers with side effects and a long term dependency on these drugs. What some doctors may be failing to understand is that diabetes is not a disease, it is an outward reaction coming directly from the pancreas that results in the body no longer being able to produce normal amounts of insulin due to the pancreas being run down. Jetro states, if the damage that is being done to the pancreas can be turned around, the organ will be given the chance to heal itself and then, gradually, it is possible for those who are dependent on insulin shots to be able to stop them all together. This means diabetes sufferers may no longer have to be dependent on the drugs and medications that are usually taken to treat the condition. Top scientists such as Dr Robert O. Young, Dr Gabriel Cousens, Dr Fuhrman and many others (whose groundbreaking research forms the basis of this E-book) state that “diabetes is completely reversible”. This information sheds new light on how diabetes sufferers get the condition and how they can turn their illness around for good. The new finding on diabetes is being called “The Diabetes-Reversing Breakthrough”. I would like to extend the opportunity to anyone who either suffers from type 1 or type 2 diabetes, or is at high risk of getting the disease, to learn more about “The Diabetes-Reversing Breakthrough!” DROP YOUR EMAIL BELOW TO BE INVITED

Health / The Three Diabetes Lies You Have Been Fed Fat! by DiabetesDr: 7:25am On Oct 13, 2016 |
1. Type 2 diabetes is something you're stuck with for life 2. You must take diabetes drugs, insulin injections and measure blood sugar until the day you die. 3. Prescription drugs are the best way to battle this disease and as long as you take your prescribed medication, you are safe from early death. These are all completely false - lies perpetrated by the pharmaceutical industry to keep you sick and hooked on their drugs. Countless studies from scientists and doctors all over the world have proven that people with type 2 diabetes can normalize blood sugar, increase insulin sensitivity, end neuropathy pain, lower risk of blindness, amputations and be taken off all diabetes drugs and insulin injections. Patients with type 1 diabetes are also able to greatly reduce drug and insulin dosages while lowering blood sugar. Scientifically proven - and then covered up Have you been fed on any of these lies? |

Health / 10 Common Symptoms Of Diabetes You Should Watch Out For by DiabetesDr: 7:03pm On Oct 12, 2016 |
Diabetes is the fastest growing epidemic in the world. The number of people living with diabetes has almost quadrupled since 1980 to 422 million adults, with most living in developing countries. In Nigeria, About 7 million people are still living with diabetes, while more than 1.56 million cases of diabetes were recorded in 2015. Also, 40,815 deaths in adults due to diabetes were recorded (WHO,IDF). The complications of diabetes can lead to heart attack, stroke, blindness, kidney failure and lower limb amputation. For example, rates of lower limb amputation are 10 to 20 times higher for people with diabetes. below are 10 common symptoms of diabetes you should watch out for. Polyuria Polyuria is defined as the frequent passage of large volumes of urine – more than 3 litres a day compared to the normal daily urine output in adults of about one to two litres. Polyuria is urine output of > 3 L/day; it must be distinguished from urinary frequency, which is the need to urinate many times during the day or night but in normal or less-than-normal volumes. It is one of the main symptoms of diabetes (both type 1 and type 2 diabetes) and can lead to severe dehydration, which if left untreated can affect kidney function. Polydipsia Polydipsia is the term given to excessive thirst and is one of the initial symptoms of diabetes. It is also usually accompanied by temporary or prolonged dryness of the mouth. However, if you feel thirsty all the time or your thirst is stronger than usual and continues even after you drink, it can be a sign that not all is well inside your body. Polyphagia Polyphagia is the medical term used to describe excessive hunger or increased appetite and is one of the 3 main signs of diabetes. An increase in hunger is usually a response to normal things such as intensive exercise or other strenuous activity, but polyphagia can also be the result of more severe issues such as depression or stress. Also known as hyperphagia, it is one of the three main symptoms of diabetes. Fatigue In the medical world, fatigue is extreme tiredness and exhaustion that doesn’t disappear with rest or sleep and this can be a telling symptom of diabetes. Most adults require 6-8 hours of sleep. With diabetes, fatigue is caused by a number of factors, including: 1. High blood sugar levels, either from a lack of the insulin horomone or from insulin resistance, can affect the body’s ability to get glucose from the blood into cells to meet our energy needs 2. People on stronger diabetes medication such as insulin, may also experience fatigue as a symptom of low blood glucose levels. Dizziness Dizziness is an episode of unsteadiness and unbalance as a result of something affecting the brain or ears. Because diabetes is such a diverse disease with many complications, it can cause dizziness in many ways by affecting different parts of the body. However, dizziness can also be a symptom of many things other than diabetes. So if you are experiencing recurrent dizzy spells, you should contact your doctor who will be able to diagnose the cause. Unexplained Weight Loss Unexplained weight loss is the term used to describe a decrease in body weight that occurs unintentionally and can be a warning sign of diabetes. Losing or gaining a few pounds here and there is normal, but unexplained weight loss that is significant (10 lbs/4.5kg or more or over 5% of your body weight) or persistent may signal an underlying medical condition. Blurred Vision One of the common signs of diabetes mellitus is blurred vision, which refers to the loss of sharpness of vision and the inability to see fine details. Blurred vision can affect one eye (unilateral blurred vision) or both (bilateral blurred vision) eyes, and can occur often or rarely. Regardless of how often it occurs, it should never go untreated as it could be an indicator of another, more serious eye problem. Slow Healing Wound In some cases, a slow healing wound could signal an underlying medical condition such as diabetes. Wounds or sores that take more than a few weeks to heal might be infected and require medical treatment, and often indicate an underlying disease such as diabetes. Genital Itching Genital itching in either sex is an irritating problem that can simply be caused by allergies and skin irritations, or by more serious disorders and diseases such as diabetes. However, other causes of the condition may be more difficult to treat or may require more intensive treatment and could ultimately lead to serious complications. Nausea Both nausea and vomiting can be a sign of a number of underlying health conditions, including diabetes. Most, if not all of us will be familiar with the feeling of nausea, which is basically the feeling of needing to be sick, felt in the stomach area. Does any strike you as a surprise? You can also ask any question below. |

Health / 14 Exercise Recaps For Reversing Type 2 Diabetes by DiabetesDr: 8:13am On Oct 07, 2016 |
Next to diet, exercise has been seen to be an important factor in reversing diabetes. Many more enlightened doctors encourage their patients to exercise daily. There is no way around this! No matter how well you eat, how many proven supplements or drugs you take, and how well you balance your endocrine hormone system, you still need to exercise to cure diabetes and similar blood sugar conditions. Below are 14 exercise recap for reversing type 2 diabetes. 1. Make a list of fun activities. You have lots of options, and you don't have to go to a gym. What sounds good? Think about something you've always wanted to try or something you enjoyed in the past. Sports, dancing, yoga, walking, and swimming are a few ideas. Anything that raises your heart rate counts. 2. Get your doctor's OK. Let them know what you want to do. They can make sure you're ready for it. They'll also check to see if you need to change your meals, insulin, or diabetes medicines. Your doctor can also let you know if the time of day you exercise matters. 3. Check your blood sugar. Ask your doctor if you should check it before exercise. If you plan to work out for more than an hour, check your blood sugar levels regularly during your workout, so you’ll know if you need a snack. Check your blood sugar after every workout, so that you can adjust if needed. 4. Carry carbs. Always keep a small carbohydrate snack, like fruit or a fruit drink, on hand in case your blood sugar gets low. 5. Ease into it. If you're not active now, start with 10 minutes of exercise at a time. Gradually work up to 30 minutes a day. 6. Strength train at least twice a week. It can improve blood sugar control. You can lift weights or work with resistance bands. Or you can do moves like push-ups, lunges, and squats, which use your own body weight. 7. Make it a habit. Exercise, eat, and take your supplements at the same time each day to prevent low blood sugar, also called hypoglycemia. 8. Go public. Work out with someone who knows you have diabetes and knows what to do if your blood sugar gets too low. It's more fun, too. Also wear a medical identification tag, or carry a card that says you have diabetes, just in case. 9. Be good to your feet. Wear athletic shoes that are in good shape and are the right type for your activity. For instance, don't jog in tennis shoes, because your foot needs a different type of support when you run. Check and clean your feet daily. Let your doctor know if you notice any new foot problems. 10. Hydrate. Drink water before, during, and after exercise. 11. Stop if something suddenly hurts. If your muscles are mildly sore, that's normal. Sudden pain isn't. You're not likely to get injured unless you do too much, too soon. 12. Reward yourself. Rather than focusing on the bad things that could happen if you don't exercise, reward yourself for reaching your goals. You might say "OK, if I exercise 10 minutes, three times a week for the next three weeks, I'll call my sister-in-law who lives in Abuja," says Clara. Don't hold out for weight loss as an emotional "reward." Focus on other benefits, such as having more energy or enjoying the outdoors when you walk. 13. Write it all down. Write down your goals, be specific, and keep a record every time you do exercise, says Tom. Record on your calendar every day whether you exercised for 10 or 15 minutes or more. 14. Get an exercise "prescription". In this case, a fitness or exercise physiologist can measure how physically fit you are and prescribe a specific intensity of exercise and how to progress to the next level. "It's based on that individual's fitness stake," says Conn. "For a person that is very unfit, and has not been exercising, the exercise prescription will be at a low moderate intensity and then move to a slightly higher intensity and longer duration." I have fond memory of many statements by my teachers. But one that readily come to my mind and I hardly forget is from an English teacher in my SS3. He will usually go to the board and write. "Do not correct other peoples' pronunciation". That statement has been my teacher's favourite quote and some 17 years down the line, I find myself telling others the same thing on different circumstances. What about you, what is your favourite quote from your teacher? HAPPY TEACHERS DAY |

teletnobo:False. Insulin and glucagon are hormones secreted by islet cells within the pancreas. They are both secreted in response to blood sugar levels, but in opposite fashion! Insulin is released in response to excess sugar in the blood. The effect of glucagon is to make the liver release the glucose it has stored in its cells into the bloodstream, with the net effect of increasing blood glucose. Glucagon also induces the liver (and some other cells such as muscle) to make glucose out of building blocks obtained from other nutrients found in the body (eg, protein). During absorption and digestion, the carbohydrates in the food you eat are reduced to their simplest form, glucose. Excess glucose is then removed from the blood, with the majority of it being converted into glycogen, the storage form of glucose, by the liver’s hepatic cells via a process called glycogenesis. So both the Pancreas and the Liver are involved in regulating blood sugar. That is why too much fat in the liver is a problem to diabetes patient. Your question is highly educative. |
