lordragner: gurus in the house your opinion is needed. my cousin wants to for his msc in cybersecurity in Melbourne, Australia, his goal is to study, get PR and build a career and a life for himself there. However an agent recently advised that he goes to Tasmania due to the PR benefits associated with the region. We looked up tasmania and have discovered that the University of Tasmania only has an M.Sc in Information Technology which is generalist as against him specialising in cybersecurity and also getting jobs (IT) and good accommodation isn't easy for locals in tasmania talkless of foreigners compared to other parts of Australia. what do you guys think? is tasmania a good option?
CC bligs Your agent's advice seems to be a better option since his major aim is to get PR. PR requirements are easier to meet after studying in regional areas at the moment. How did you know that accommodation is an issue in Tasmania? 2 Likes |

Hap ID won't generate that easily after submission. Book medicals, select a suitable date, submit, and you will IMMEDIATELY get notification to do Biometrics. Book into do biometrics similarly.
Once you submit before medicals, you may wait for a case officer to request and send you a HAP ID before you can do medicals. You're wrong. I have done several times. |

Sparkle123:
That's a good idea though, but you should also be aware that when you ignore HAPID in the application and submit, you may want to wait for the case officer to generate one for you (I may not be 100% right here but that is what I know) and only God knows when that would be since recently, they removed processing time in subsequent entrant application. Think about it. You may just make the sacrifice and do this... Generate HAPID, do you medicals and submit application the following day(you would have filled all the other sections in the form and give them time to forward your health declarations to pretoria for the HAPID to be valid, else the form will reject it) then you can book appointment for biometrics (now at lekki) as early as possible maybe that day or the following day. Since i will not advice you to do medicals after submission. I dont think he will spend more than three days doing this. Also you can just use the opportunity to do your police clearance.
Medicals are available for applicants once you hit submit button. You don't need your case officer to generate Hap Id for you. |

Bestcutie: Alright, Thanks so much.
quote author=lordkratos post=81688659]Sorry no way. You have to submit first, make payment till you recieve the correspondence to go for biometrics.
Since the person is not in Lagos and doesn't want to travel twice. Modify(ignore the hap id generated) the medical health option in your application so that the applicant can do both at the same time after submission. You can schedule the medical in the morning and move to Etiebet's place Ikeja same day after medical in Ikeja or VI. Biometrics details and Hap ID will be available in your account immediately after visa submission. |

Go for the likes of SA that won't compel you to book return ticket or you can as well tell any airline demanding for return ticket that you are on study visa and can't tell exactly when you will finish. I recommend SA though with long layover if you are travelling with your family and you can't afford the likes of Emirate. Book early to secure hotel reservation. foliat: Hello all, please if you going to travel with your family are your expected to book return ticket? Please is there anyone that has travelled with family...please i need your help urgently. Thanks |

Yeah, it's better and SA will release your hotel reservation a day to your trip provided you book early enough and follow up. Solitin40:
Book with the airline directly and ask them for the hotel reservation I don say my own sha |

Hi Alphadoor. I kindly need your assistance wrt my ACS assessment. Please respond to my private msg. Thanks. Alphadoor:
I'll once again refer you to page 0 for the answer to this question. Fortify yourself with the right information. Don't be in a rush.
For ACS, an applicants year of graduation plays a big role in total years of experience points you can claim. provided your B.SC transcript has enough ICT content to scale through the assessment. you should be fine and vice versa
You can introduce your M.SC at your EOI point.
Some B.SC will fetch you 10pts, while some 15pts..(depends on ACS's analysis of your transcipt) M.Sc is always 15pts
what school and year did you obtain both degrees

You are so wrong How did you come to the conclusion that schools grant visas? DIBP have all the say on your visa application 2) 10yrs to become citizen? Are you talking about same OZ or some other countries? The change to citizenship, which will commence 1 July 2018 is that before applying for citizenship- you have to be on PR minimum of 4yrs
Please get your facts right I second you, sch has no say on visa grant after issuing COE to students through DIBP. |

Albion05: Thank you very much. They have the right to refuse my visa yes, but the right to ban me for 3 years for something that I know that is not true, my dear I disagree with you on this.
Even after sending the letter that the bank issued to my sponsor stating that the statement of account is genuine and emanated from the bank and still not satisfied with it. The CO have pre- determined decision already , the bank will write to them and ask them who confirmed to them that the account is not genuine. N/B : We are talking about my Fathers statement of account not someone else. My dear, my documents was correct and verifiable by any institution. Is it my Degree result, My license as a registered Nurse, my license as registered Midwife, Certificate of seminars attended or my SOP that I took my time to write. At did not mention in any place on my paper how much my Dad earns except his statement of account that I submitted.
My employment letter is verifiable from my employer, so which document or documents are you referring?.... I am a very thorough person and have held post in Organization not just my professional body. Their decision was bent solely that the statement of account is not genuine.
You may have to contact your school and brief them about what happened before DIBP mandates them to refund your fees. Inform them about your plan to petition or appeal your ban and visa refusal and maybe request for deferment to July intake if available for your course. DIPB do write school to refund fees after visa refusal |
Travel / Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by DidoKev: 3:54pm On Feb 19, 2018 |
Albion05: The legal department did not notorized the document. The legal department of the Bank was involved because of the nature of the case.
After the Branch Manager wrote the reference, he has to send it to their legal department for them to be aware and they went through the letter confirmed that the statement was genuine, they now ordered the Branch manager to sign and release the documents which I went to court to notorized and submitted same to DIBP.
So one will assume for the embassy to verify the statement of account, the Bank, be it the head office or the branch will be in position to confirm wether customers account is genuine or not but the bank was not contacted either through mail or call. So the question now is were did Embassy verify their purported claim?....
@ Albion05 still wondering why your CO decided to act this way after you provided docs showing that your soa is genuine. Anyway, do not be bothered as your ban and visa refusal will be upturned by your lawyer. Almight God we serve is with you to testify here very soon. 1 Like |

Ok, ticket cost about 450k multiple airline, I booked via kiwi.com. The journey itself was Wierd..I was supposed to use air royal Maroc, Egypt air and emirates. I had my fears about transiting through Casablanca and Cairo, this was further buttressed by the online reviews I read. The air maroc service was not nice, I would have missed my connecting flight from to Cairo, na my aggression save me...they speak little or no English and were downright crazy. Well, I finally got aboard the Cairo bound plane and from there it was nice and smooth.good food, entertainment et al. No transit visas required. But ensure you are concise whenever you re asked about your itinerary. Thanks for the information, so transit visa is not required in Cairo and Guangzhou(China) with layover not exceeding 6 hours. 1 Like |
