I still don't get the reason behind joining a cult in school. To what end exactly?

A lot of us kinda outgrow the thread (I will too soon), but I just feel we all should create time to help one another scale what is in my opinion the most difficult hurdle of this process - the VISA hurdle.

I attended orientation today and the number of asians that are resuming school were way more than half (they move together in groups and speak their language at will). Anyways, bottom line is that we Nigerians can and should put conscious effort into helping one another to get TRVs.

A little bit about life in Canada may help some of us on the thread make smart decisions about pursuing this whole thing. Because some are actually better of elsewhere, as not everyone's success is tied to Canada.

I very importantly have to say a very big thank you to a member of this forum, cocosmite. I reached out to him before I left Nigeria and he has been of tremendous help to me. Brother actually cooked and brought home cooked meal for me at the airport! Allowed me stay in his apartment for three days, and helped me settle in! Some angels live among us people. They breathe air like you and I (some even like girls with big bum-bum grin ) but they are nothing short of angels. I am really grateful.

So I guess we all catch the message, let's help and continue to help one another, keep the cycle going and all.

I school at MUN, if you have questions about the school please feel free to ask here and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.

Why do these people still get involved in this scam called marriage?

You get married to her to tie her down legally, ba?

Funny people!

The heart wonders to where it pleases, my people!

Use your heads people! Some even send their people to get a wife for them. After getting the wife for you the way you get Condom from a Pharmacy, what's the sense in it when you start living like cat and dogs for the rest of your lives hoping for either a divorce or the death of your spouse in order to be free.

Come on, you could have kept your freedom and still live your life to the fullest while having him or her as a companion and mother or father of your kids.

If you think about marriage critically, you will see that there is no use. 5 years into marriage, it's well known that most couples hardly have regular sex. Why? Basic psychology!

But those 2 could have been dating for 15 years and having the best of moments. No, it's not about the right person! We've seen this stuff play out again and again.

Most are married and lonely and can't even divorce because that's not enough ground for divorce! You are practically messed up because there's no more love in the bucket! But you could have taken a walk away if that were to occur in a relationship.

Just separate from her and file for divorce before she poison you and elope with her love bird.

trash!!!! No be mama born you abi you fall from sky?? why say marriage is a scam when you actually are in this world as a result of the scam? your opinion is baseless!!

If you are talking of hustling northern cities, then Kaduna and Kano is your best bet.

If you cannot speak hausa at all and you are not good in learning languages easily, then Kaduna is better because about half of all Kaduna residents can speak english/pidgin due to the high population of christians there. If you also are the socializing type, then Kaduna is also a better option for you.

If you prefer a northern city with very good weather and beautiful landscape, extremely friendly natives, very cheap and assorted foodstuffs and vegetables. Then try Jos. Although Jos is not a hussling place like Kaduna or Kano. It's more of a civil service town, but it is neater and comparatively cheaper than Kaduna and Kano. And also not to forget, social life is Jos is very hot and high.

is there a building material market in Kaduna?
