It wasn't allowed previously but the law changed this year in August. It was signed into law and commenced on the 20th of August, 2022 to be precise allows students to work for 30hrs per week now. This is nothing but good news for the new comers which means you can balance up the remaining €900 in part payment or even pay at once when you land here

Loving1:

That means you can study and work in Spain right? I was thinking there's no work & study in Spain.
Travel / Re: Spanish Student Visas by divinefavour06: 4:16am On Oct 27, 2022
Has she landed here? If no, there are some places she can stay for free max 3mnths. They will be paying him €20-30/wk. You can do whatever you like there like cooking, sleeping and other things as well as searching for your preferred accommodation and job while still staying in this apartment. If you still get work, you can stay there codedly and keep your salaries for these months BUT YOU WILL ASSIST THEM IN CLEANING THE PLACE O. This is good for those that doesn't have much or self-sponsored.

Hi and good morning. Please my sister would be off to Spain to school at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. The issue now is getting accommodation. She has been searching and till now not been able to lease an apartment. She would be going with her husband as well so a modest apartment would suffice. Please anyone has some good suggestions as to where else she can get links to leasing an apartment? She also tried air bnb but no Lusk there either as she thinks once they discover she is black they don't get back to her.

Thank you

Update:

My school contacted me that my visa was approved, went to pick it up today. On my way to the consulate, I got a call from the legalization lady to come pickup

The visa was issued a week ago but don't know why I wasn't contacted.

God be praised!

We move!

Yes to having enough money.

Well no document was falsified, however my school was closed the entire month of August and said they will follow up with the consulate.

However I did read in this thread someone that had similar case with delay and still got a response.

Its possible because I knew of a guy that his visa was delayed too and he wanted to traveled to UK the next Monday he requested for his passport and they gave him. I don't know if visa was granted or not but the fact was that they gave him his property.

Your original documents is ur property and no one on earth can deprive you from it. People at the embassy there aren't difficult to approach. They a nice people. Just go there and request for it and they will give you.

Whatever the case maybe, there should still be a response, I need my original documents for other purpose.

Travel / Re: Spanish Student Visas by divinefavour06: 4:00pm On Sep 07, 2021
How sure are you? Which date did he/she submitted the document? I don't believe that.... August just past nah. Initially, it takes only 2wks after submission to get ur visa but the goal post have changed because of German, Poland and some tough embassies which made many to change their minds which made Spanish embassy flooded with plp. Its BTW 3-4wks these days and hopefully it won't be more than that because of their new law that came up yesterday.
Nevertheless, I'm not saying pop should submit fake docs pls. It will end in praise. Shalom

oseremenifidon:
I know of 2 persons that have submitted since August and are in Spain now, so please don't generalize it. I know for a fact that Spanish embassy isn't as tough as German and Poland embassy. So if there is too much delay then there is something fundamentally wrong..

Travel / Re: Spanish Student Visas by divinefavour06: 9:45pm On Sep 06, 2021
The delay is basically because its their peak period! Moreover, its not only Nigerians that uses the embassy.....
You better pray for the success of those that submitted before you which was just walk-in submission. The story has changed now that you have to book an appointment before legalization as well as submission.

If those that submitted since early August are still waiting, you that is still trying to gather momentum before applying this time around knowing fully well that school resumes in a month time.......hmmmm. There is nothing God can not do. Just do quick and submit your document. It is well.

oseremenifidon:
Hope you had enough money in your account as bank statements.
Its basically falsified documents or insufficient money in the account that causes such delay or denial, well based on what I read though.
I am also preparing to apply for a visa they just started today this booking online for submission, I pray I get date so I can apply for my Visa soonest.
It's clear that so many people are applying to Spanish universities but its either they are not on nairaland or they just choose to be quiet.
I was shocked at the number of persons I saw at the embassy when I went for legalisation.
The dream of Nigerians is truly to leave Nigeria.
Travel / Re: Spanish Student Visas by divinefavour06: 9:33pm On Sep 06, 2021
Just try your luck tomorrow. The embassy is overwhelmed if they have their way, they would shutdown everything and attend to the ones on ground.

Update us tomorrow. Best of luck

Hello house, can we please make this room lively? Some people tension is very high now...... Can we share our outstanding success here too in order to ease the tensed ones. In a nutshell, update the house if you have been given the visa and I'm very sure many will congratulate and pray for you. This happens in other platforms, so let imbibe the habit here too. For everyone on waiting for their visas, i say It will end in praise in Jesus name. Shalom

Nobody really knows. But what exactly is your friend going back to do? Is she a student?

Thanks for your response. She is not a student but working legally there. She came to naija but something came up that kept her here till her work permit got expired. (They didn't cut it as some company does) now, she want to go back to Turkey because all her properties are there including credentials.

What about the person who was in Turkey before but came home and her permit got expired and wants to return back with like 5000TL in her Turkish account and like ₦1.2m in his account here in Nigeria. What is her chances of getting the visa with such amount in her account? She never overstayed her permit for 4yrs plus she spent there

I recently visited Turkey with a tourist visa...why did you ask ?
