Sharrap, what do you know?
is it because those countries don't post in refrence to general population but focuses solely on their citizens. In a country where the citizens are less than 30% of the population. Ask anyone living and working in the Middle East in the last 10 years, there has been job lost more than any where in the world in the last 1-2 years, the difference is, you can't protest, you can't go to the press. The few that are employed are being owed salaries for months. Google and see for yourself. Since your type that has never been to the airport before always think Nigeria is the worst country or econmical suffering nation of the world. Things are rapidly changing all over the world, sadly, the Nigerians abroad or in these places who needs money to relocate keep lying to the gullible ones everyday so that they can gather as much as possible and JAPA before the new victims will come in.

Of course you belong to your family. They own you. And it's your responsibility to make your family smile before you consider strangers. Build your family I'm not saying you must grant every request but try for your family because when you die na still that family go reciprocate. Some wealthy men impress the streets and let the family suffer then when they fall off in the future they can't sustain because the didn't empower family.
Mikel particularly is a stingy guy, compare him to Mane from Senegal in terms of being charitable. Mikel would rather spend millions on a whip for model than support his family.
Don't downplay family, family is everything

This is one of them, you will know from the time they open their mouth. They are greedy, they are leeches, they are evil, they want to run you down, and they don't care about you. No matter what you do for them, they will keep coming back. And all they do with the money you give to them is to impress other by throwing parties and clubbing, just to show people that they are related to a famous person. If you give them 10M today, they will come back in 3 months, they lack investment plans, even if they propose a business plan to you and you support them, they will still squander it, with the hope of getting more. They will blame witches, blame economy, blame bad business, everything is to be blamed but themselves.

With all the investments John Obi did for his families from his playing days, they were suppose to be established by now. But no, as per Nigeria, the list keeps expanding.

A country that feeds on oil products is buying electric vehicles (It barely produces 12,522 MW of electricity).
I promise you, these electric cars will be the death of Nigeria's economy.

The non-oil-producing countries are looking for alternative energy so they can stop depending on oil which will have a massive impact on our economy.

Other oil-producing countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar have seen this and are now diversifying their economy by building various tourist destinations and other sources of income, while Nigeria is swimming in a pool of foreign debt.

If you are wise, you will know that the import of electric vehicles in Nigeria is a f00lish move.

You made examples with 2 countries where they run closed society, they only consider their citizens in their GDp ratings and welfare, while the foreigners that outnumber their indigenes are regarded as expatriate. Well, Qatar is still recovering from the world cup, the country is almost grounded and they are at the moment milking funds from everywhere possible, many expatriates losing their jobs daily since the end of world cup...yet cost of living is on the rise. Every facility built for the world cup are now redundant, so many accomodations are empty, some, since 2013 - 2015 that they have been built....Malls shutting down, businesses closing up, etc make examples with tcountries you truly know something about them or live or have been there

Politics / Re: Lagos On Display At The Lord Mayor's Show In London (Picture) by djseanjohn77: 1:10pm On Nov 12, 2023
successmatters:
Lagos was developed by the whole Nigerians, with Niger Delta oil money. Most of the infrastructure you see in Lagos, the people celebrating lagos today didn't know how it came about.

Lagos and the region it belongs in has its feeding bottle still in the Niger Delta region, see how deceptive they are, they will be celebrating lagos with oil money and if you tell them to form their own country, they will refuse. You wan hunger to finish them? grin

If you quote me, you will get withlow on your finger grin

You are so daft, and ill-informed. Why have the region that have been receiving 45% derivative unable to replicate same. Perhaps I should remind you that, Lagos has always contributed more to Nigeria and the development of other areas. You are told lies amd your ignoramus cannot do little research, what am I even saying. If you can be told Buhari was a clone, and you believed, what else would your kind not believe?
Even before emergence of oil, Lgos had always been ahead of the rest of Nogerian States...Google it and find out, as the center of slave merchants, it serves as center for exchange of slaves and services. Then in the 70s during oil boom, the oil was not what developed Lagos, but the mass migration to Lagos from other regions. Just as even after the capital was removed from Lagos in the 90s, when the population stood at 7M, that didn't deny Lagos the needed growth and development to still remain No. 1 spot. The population has grown to over 20M even after removal of FCT. Lagos experienced a population explosion, untamed economic growth, and unmitigated rural migration. This caused the outlying towns and settlements to develop rapidly, thus forming the present-day "Lagos Metropolitan Area", also known as "Metropolitan Lagos". There is no denying the fact today that the money gotten from Lagos as a result of these development, are still been divided across the nations to cater for the rest of you who are lazy, that cannot bring ideas where revenues can be generated. Your siblings keep trooping to Pagos everyday for opportunities. The population growth is what you should ask yourself. Why did people choose Lagos as a place to migrate to; 1. The people are friendly 2. Accomodating 3. Sociable (love life) 4. The mass trooping of people ofcos brought development and business boom. Create any business, the market is available 5. Security as compared to your region where group of boys can hide in bush with guns and start killing people in the name of marginalisation. Etc

Lagos also enjoyed good governance in the past and present unlike your regions.

With your small population and the high money you get monthly from FCT, what do you do with it? Why has your place remain stagnant, unable to match even the Mainland.

History of the Lagos civilisation, why Lagos is ahead of you all in innovations and critical thinking. From Raji Rasaki, AMike Akhigbe, Michael Otedola, Buba Marwa, BAT, Fashola, Ambode, and now Sanwo Olu. Tell me one governor orlf notable character worthy of emulation in your region? Just one.

Lagos was bombarded by the British in 1851, annexed on 6 August 1861 and declared a colony on 5 March 1862.

Lagos had already become a cosmopolitan trade center in 1872, perhaps you don't know, if your fathers will tell you the truth, ask them, or simply ask Google.

Lagos as a colony and protectorate was because of the civilisation incorporated into Southern Nigeri in February 1906, and as such Lagos became the capital of protectorate of Nigeria in January 1914. Since then, it has grown to become the largest city in West Africa. That's a unique blessed land and because of the people friendliness and terrain. The lagoon nourished the social and even political being of the city and people of Lagos.

Your fathers that migrated to Lagos came with Ghana-must-go and in night but from Onitsha. Lagos blessed them, they found rest and built houses and own properties, they didn't come with money to develop Lagos, they were blessed in the land and as such contributed to its growth. If they didn't find peace here, they would uave returned years back, but instead, they brought in their brothers, cousins, nephews etc.

Perhaps you do not know why Lagos was picked despite not being the center of Nogeria, Lagos was way advanced, and stood as heterogenous Town populated by groups of people from other various regions. You see, while Lagos was advancing prior being a colony, your people were still practicing cannibalism and killing of twins. Do you know how many Missionaries were killed in your region? You were still practicing idolatry massively. This gave Lagos its electric character with increasing social stratification and contrasting lifestyles for growth.

That why a slogan in Lagos says " Eko gba ole, o gba ole" Lagos admits thoces and the lazy as well.
" Eko o gba gbere" Lagos do not condone lasciviousness"
"Eko wenjele"
Etc and Eko never sleeps.
Even Ibadan was way ahead of your regions in terms of development in those years, and Ibadan was developed with Cocoa money and so was other regions.

I will burst your ignorant bubbles.
The cash crops that generated revenue for Nigeria before oil emergence were Rubber (SS Delta precisely), Cotton, Cocoa & Coffee (SW), groundnut, hide and skin (NE)and Palm kernel and Oil Palm from (SE).
There are others...but the one that Nigeria depended on largely for revenue was Cocoa. Ask your grandfather's. At that time, Nigeria was self-reliant on food production but the whole country developed through cocoa majorly. Just when oil was discovered in 1957, and by 1963, some people became greedy and wanted to part way, forgetting they had bn enjoying sources from other regions before oil came. Still, the derivatives was shared and they were getting more allocation, agriculture was still thriving until the early 80s when lt began to die gradually.

Even while the IBB regime decided to take FCT from Lagos, Lagsoos population stood at 4M as at 1993, that didn't stop the nation from growing. Since the FCT was taken from Lagos, Lagos grew steadily from 7M to 25M and over today between 1999 and 2023. That's over 300% growth compared to when fct was taken from Calabar, it became deserted until recently.

Take FCT from Abuja today, and see how empty the place will be in 20 years. Cos, there is absolutely no life there. The only place you can organise a show successfully with all minds at rest and return on investment is still Lagos. 👌
The land is blessed.

Guyman01:
Mmesoma attended and sat for JAMB just like Tinubu attended Chicago State University.

She had a result from JAMB which she could no longer find in the system just like Tinubu claims to have misplaced his certificate.

Instead of writing to JAMB for a replacement she went to a third party vendor who printed another JAMB result for her and she presented same for admission into a Nigerian University, she even awarded the best student to herself, just like Tinubu awarding First Class Degree to himself through a Third Party and presented same to INEC.

JAMB punished Mmesoma by suspending her for 3 years but Tinubu was rewarded with presidency of Nigeria.

I think there's a travesty of justice here because the same people that spent weeks making scapegoat out of the little girl are now using the same alibi she presented which they vigorously discountenanced to defend Tinubu based on primordial sentiments.

JAMB should apologise to Mmesoma if Tinubu Third Party certificate is acknowledged. Meanwhile, the Third Party vendor never contacted CSU for authorisation to issue replacement as required just like Mmesoma never contacted JAMB.

The Tinubu puppet below me is claiming he is not a Tinubu fan and calling Mmesomaa "criminal", the issue is that the certificate submitted to INEC is not from CSU but from an uncertified Third Party and the certificate paraded by Mmesoma is also not from JAMB, she attended JAMB and Tinubu attended CSU but both of them are parading uncertified Third Party certificates

Did the results in Tinubu's diploma correspond to what he has in his transcript provided by the school? Yes.

even with that, the so many redundant States in Nigeria have more than they can cater at their disposal......the generated funds can still not fund their expenses,a s such they need to keep borrowing. That is what happens if States rely on on Fed Allocation, Nigeria has only about 5 States that can fund itself.
Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna and Kano, and probably FCT and Imo, the rest are noise makers worth only to be a local govt.

Recently, states published their Q1 budget performance reports. With four quarters in a year, it is presumed that states should have generated one-quarter (25%) of their projected revenue in each quarter. However, from the available data, a number of states fell short of that 25% revenue projection for the first quarter.

Some other states, however, hit over the 25% target.

For instance, as of the end of Q1 2023, data showed that Kwara State had generated 45.03% of its N41.04 billion IGR for the year. Delta State also generated over 40% of its projected IGR for 2023.

It is worth stating that the 42.64% IGR performance of Delta State was because revenues were collected from some IGR codes that were not budgeted in the first quarter of the year as explained in the state’s budget implementation report.

Kebbi, Ondo, Kogi, Ekiti, and Gombe generated at least 30% of their IGR at the end of Q1.

Jigawa, Bayelsa, Plateau, and Anambra achieved at least 27%.

Apart from these 11 states, every other state generated below 25% of their IGR at the end of the first quarter of the year.

What is wrong is if the children are not spiritually qualified to hold such position and you give it to them just based on physical relationship.

My prayer for the young man and his sister is that they submit wholeheartedly to GOD ALMIGHTY in truth and in spirit.

Ministry is beyond inheritance. Ministry is God's business. God does not need your height, your degree, your expertise or financial power to run his business.

Infact if the only qualification you have is that it is my father's church, you will be an experimental tool for the devil to waste.

If you want to truly see God work through you, you Must genuiely and personally yield yourself to Him.

Thank God for Christ's blood on the cross, God of the old testament was never this patient, succession is exclusively his, and that's even if the foundation itself belongs to Him, otherwise, He doesn't care what you do with yourselves.

This is like family legacies, as it is being practiced in Nigeria today, it is not exclusive to them alone, many churches in Nigeria will follow suite, and many have done it before.

Where are those dummies, always rejoicing over any bad happenings in Lagos, as if the flood will select property of whom to ransack, Last time i checked, 70% of those sacked by flood in Lagos in Lekki areas are not indigenes. Those areas are occupied largely by strangers.

See, this climate change will go round, it is just a matter of time, and to those that are yet toexperience any of such, you can't predict how it will hit you.
Firslty, Lagos is even below sea level, coupled with the fact that majority of the land areas is covered by water. There is hardly anything to be done, since there are no highlands. Even with a proper drainage system in place, once the sea level rises, the ground water table will rise, and if that happens, the ground will automatically push up water to the surface.
If stricter building standard measures are put in place for masses to follow, they will cry foul that the government is targeting the Igbos. No matter how many campaign is done, to stop people from litering everywhere, blocking drainages, building on flood paths, it will not stop. And if arrest are made, houses are demolished, they will cry foul.
I am an Environmentale & Sustainability Manager in Qatar, despite the country been in the middle east, with only less than 5 days of rainfall per year, except recently that the effect of climate change is spinning the order. There are measures in place to tackle flooding, are they enough? No! But they do reduce the impact.
The land is largely dry, and mitigation measures such as standby water tankers deployed in the low spots to suck water, drainages channeling water to deep wells that have depth of 100s of meters, standby team for emergency response, water pump machines installed at strategic places (those will be stolen within 24 hrs in Nigeria) and other measures. Communities are to report on a set platform of floods in their area, citing street details. It is largely effective, few hours after the rain has stopped, the water goes low. 2018 was the highest hit, but there has been readiness and preparedness ever since. Occasionally, there are still floods, but less impact after the rain had stopped. One factor that makes it effective is, the country is leaas than 3M, no one indiscriminately litres the floor, you will be arrested. The citizens are highly responsible, you can't even be seen spitting in public, or urinating etc. The country is sparsely populated and well planned as compared to any part of Lagos.

That said, the world at large are experiencing the effect of year-long negligence and irresponsible decisions, the depletion of ozone layer, the excessive water use, poor waste management, litering of plastics etc, cutting down of trees, energy consumption (neglecting use of renewable energy), etc.

Why is abacha's death not been investigated?
A whole general and a powerful president, till now we are still living with the woman that killed abacha with apple and others that planed it...... they should go and dig him out for autopsy

Bola Ige, and Attorney General of the Federation, was shot deadin 2021. Till date, nothing happened.

Olufunmilayo Ransome Kuti, died in 1977 when some 1,000 soldiers stormed the family property in Lagos. During the assault, soldiers dragged Funmilayo by her hair and threw her out a second-story window. She died of complications from her injuries the following year. This was while Obasanjo was military head of State. Nothing happened.

So are the death of many Army Chiefs, high profile political assassinations etc.

Record shows, these happens as well in western world, and there are many deaths, missing persons unravelled till date.

Family / Re: Why Do Most Nigerian Men Change Towards Their Wives After Having Kids by djseanjohn77: 9:07am On Sep 28, 2023

Why actually are the reasons why men change towards their wives after having kids. Could it be that the unwritten contract between them and their wives has come to an end after she has put to birth or what exactly. At that moment, no more sweet name calling, no more petting. They now see their wives as rivals at home. What is the cause?

Sorry, the reverse is the case.....the woman shifts attention to the child more than the husband, she even stops doing things that she once does to remain attractive to him. But the women of this age shift blame, they are never responsible for anything, it is always what the man fails to do, didn't do right, or isn't doing enough. Even when DNA exposes them for giving another child to an innocent man, they still twist it that they are doing the man favour or he caused it. It is always the man, yet, in old age, no matter what the man gives, the kids care for their mother more than the man.

Men, my advice is, prepare for your retirement, make you health and well-beign a priority of yours, if not, they will send you to early grave. You will stress over providing for your family, pressure over what ou are not doing well etc. until you go down 6 feet. Do the best you can do, whilst ensuring you are in right emotional state too.
