Whalis: This was happening in Port Harcourt and precisely Rumuokoro Junction. I was waiting to board a cab going to Rumuola. I attempted to board severally but I was unable due to taxi drivers claiming they hadn't change. Although I was enjoying my time listening to members of FRAN(Free Readers of Association of Nigeria) arguing about current events. What Wike did and didn't. What Nnamdi Kanu will do and so on. I didn't care to read the papers myself I just wanted them to give me the summaries which I knew were laced with a biased mindset. While I was standing I didn't know that some policemen on patrol had spotted me as a soft target. Of course I look very calm, cool and collected. There is no doubt that with the right threat they would get some money from me. But they didn't realise that I am a Port Harcourt boy through and through with some elements of Warri and Lagos where I have also lived. One of the policemen accosted and told.me his superior in the patrol van wanted to see me. I wasn't scared. I thought perhaps one of the senior police officers I had met somewhere had identified me. I walked with him to the van only for me to realise that I knew none of them. The next thing they asked me to do was to hop in. I asked them to where and for what purpose. They replied they would let me know. Truly I way a little bit perturbed although I didn't show my fear. I was beaming with smile. One I was going to Rumuola and the van was facing Rumuokoro to Rumuokwuta for those who know PH. As the van gradually gained traction I once again calmly asked them my offences. Then did one of them told me that I was a pick pocket suspect. Laughs! I turned around to be very sure it wasn't me they were referring to. There was no other civilian save me. They said they were watching making attempts to board taxis that I wouldn't. I had to explain to them what was happening. That the drivers were always asking for the exact amount as they had no ' change '. And each time I showed #1000 I had on me they would ask me to alight. I made sure I didn't communicate in pidgin even when they did.
EnlightenedUFO: So are you going to start praising the most restrictive govt for women in the world? The terrorists called taliban? The rapists in india and the terrorists in taliban are just as the same. The taliban could easily sway away from rape due to their religion but will never hesitate to flog or even kill the lady if she ever removes her burqah just to display her hair, and also if she just ignorantly does something against their archaic rules for women.
They are one and the same.
which one is better,to leave with the horror,STD,and pain of rape or to feel the pain of canes and die instantly?

Amidst the zionist criminal aggression our people are facing, the factions highlighted the constructive and positive spirit that prevailed during the meeting. They agreed that their meetings would continue in future dialogue rounds to achieve comprehensive national unity that encompasses all Palestinian forces and factions within the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the sole and legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.
The factions affirmed their agreement on the urgent tasks facing the Palestinian people and their united efforts to achieve them, including:
1- Confronting the criminal "israeli" aggression and the genocide war waged against our people in the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and Al-Quds, with the support, backing, and participation of the United States of America.
2- Resisting and stopping the attempts to displace our people from their homeland, Palestine, especially in Gaza Strip or in the West Bank and Al-Quds, and affirming the illegitimacy of settlement and settlement expansion according to the resolutions of the Security Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations.
3- Working to lift the brutal siege on our people in Gaza Strip and the West Bank and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian, vital, and medical aid without restrictions or conditions.
4- Forcing the occupation army to withdraw from the Gaza Strip, preventing attempts to consolidate its occupation or control over any part of Gaza Strip under the pretext of buffer zones, and adhering to the unity of all Palestinian lands in accordance with the Basic Law.
5- Rejecting any attempts to separate Gaza Strip from the West Bank, including Al-Quds, as part of efforts to deprive the Palestinian people of their right to self-determination and to establish their free, independent, and fully sovereign state on all occupied Palestinian lands with Al-Quds as its capital, in accordance with international resolutions.
6- Supporting and backing the heroic steadfastness of our struggling people and their resistance in Palestine, and their keenness to support our people in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, especially in Al-Quds, and their brave resistance to overcome the wounds and destruction caused by the criminal aggression, to rebuild what the occupation has destroyed, and to support the families of martyrs and the injured, and those who have lost their homes, properties, and livelihoods.
7- Confronting the occupation's conspiracies and its continuous violations against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, its attacks on freedom of worship during the holy month of Ramadan, preventing worshippers from reaching it, and insisting on resisting any harm to Al-Aqsa Mosque, the city of Al-Quds, and its Islamic and Christian sanctities.
8- Fully supporting the the valiant male and female prisoners in the jails who are subjected to various forms of torture and oppression, and the determination to prioritize every possible effort to liberate them from the occupation's captivity.
9- Emphasizing the protection of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and its vital role in caring for Palestinian refugees until their return, and the implementation of United Nations Resolution 194.

naijapips02: I have read a lot of propagandas about how Alex Otti has transformed Aba to a paradise and as an Aba boy, I know most of these are nothing but fabricated news.
I have nothing against Otti. If anything, I want the best for my beloved Aba but we truly need to hold our politicians accountable.
100 days into Okezie's government, he constructed 27 roads. Okezie expanded faulks road. Okezie cleared up osisioma junction and built the first flyover in Abia state. Okezie invested and ensured Geometric commences operations to alleviate the power issues in Aba. Okezie began the modernization of Ariaria and ngwa road markets. I don't even want to go to Orji Uzor Kalu that opened up the entire Aba and built new roads all round Aba.
It's almost 1 year since after Otti took over. Please can we list the things he has concluded in his first 8 months? Umule road up to Tonimas is in a bad shape. Faulks road up to Ariaria is still in the state Okezie left it. The old express he poured coal tar on is less than 4kms. Emelogu road is less than 2kms. The Geometric power has absolutely nothing to do with Otti. Cameroon road, school road, Ehi road, these are inner roads that are less than 2kms. Putting street lights on these roads and taking pictures, is that what governance is about?
The real people in Aba are yet to feel the impact of Otti's government despite the numerous online noise making.
If you have evidence of serious work Otti has done in 8 months in Aba please post and let's compare with what his predecessors did in same time period.
the heart beat of Aba is off ngwa road.i don't know why nobody talked about the roads there.

GistMedia0: In a recent interview, former Nigerian football star Yakubu Aiyegbeni has revealed that he continues to receive messages and criticisms from fans, years after his infamous miss during the 2010 FIFA World Cup match against South Korea.
The moment, etched into football history, occurred during Nigeria's crucial group stage game against South Korea. With the score tied at 2-2 and a spot in the knockout stages on the line, Aiyegbeni found himself with what seemed like an open goal opportunity. However, to the shock of fans worldwide, he missed the chance, leaving Nigeria unable to secure the much-needed victory.
Despite this moment happening over a decade ago, Aiyegbeni expressed his surprise at the ongoing messages he receives about the miss. "I still get messages from people, different messages," he stated in the interview. "It's surprising how that moment still sticks with people, even after all these years."
The striker, who had a successful career playing for clubs like Everton and Portsmouth in the English Premier League, admitted that the miss was a tough moment in his career. "Of course, it was a big moment, and I wish it had gone differently. But in football, you have highs and lows," he remarked.
