Religion / Re: Are Christians The Real Terrorist? by Dodgur(m): 11:21am On Feb 01, 2010
It is exactly what you said, a claim by an extremist no more. It has no proof and thus no legitimacy, the statement claims that Islam is not the terrorist but Islamist have taken credit for terrorist acts before thus disproving his claim. Please don’t take this as me saying all Islamist and terrorist that’s not at all what I’m saying nor am I saying that all Christians and sweet little angels that’s illogical. We are all people regardless to religion and as such there are good and bad among us all. Those who say otherwise are lying and that’s all there is to it. Blanket comments about any sect of any religion are offensive and always wrong because they cannot incompact all involved properly.

And to IDINRETE as ask, what is paganism if not a religion?
Religion / Re: I Had A Rapture Dream by Dodgur(m): 11:02am On Feb 01, 2010
The lord will come like a thief in the night, no one knows the years or day or hour not even Jesus himself only the father. When he comes there will be no denying it, all knees will bow to Him. Revelation speaks of angels who stand at the ready, awaiting the word of God before they sound their trumpets. It also speaks of the fear of men and how many will beg to the mountains to fall on them so they may hide from the wrath of the Lamb.

With that said it sounds to me to be prophetic, what the prophecy is I can’t tell you. What I got from it was that when the Lord appeared all knew who He was and what it meant. The angels stood silent because the time is not yet. Those who ran were the ones who fear the Lamb for they do not know him, and there will come a time after revelation where all will bow to Him regardless to if they knew him in this life or not. If I were you I would take it as a sign to make sure I was in right standing with Jesus. Put some time into studying revelation if you haven’t already and pray about it that is always the best thing to do.

Religion / Re: The Gospel Message: Is It For Or Against Prosperity? by Dodgur(m): 10:39am On Feb 01, 2010
God wants you to prosper and He will help you if you tithe, pray, and have faith. Guess what, its the faith part that stops alot of people.

3rd John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth"

Corinthians 9:10-11
"Surely he says this for us, doesn't he? Yes, this was written for us, because when the plowman plows and the thresher threshes, they ought to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest. If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you?"

Luke 6:38
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Religion / Re: Speaking In Tongues: What's That All About? by Dodgur(m): 10:24am On Feb 01, 2010
Speaking in tongues is most defiantly real and I am not ashamed to say that I have and do continue to do so. If anyone wants to ask me anything about it on a personal level I’m more than happy to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge. My name is Hunter McLeod or dodger if you like.
But as for now is it real? Yes.
Is it from God? Yes.
Is it in the Bible? Yes.
Did Jesus do it? Yes.
Should we do it? Yes.
Can anyone do it? If you’re a Christian yes you can.
Does it mean there is something wrong with you if you don’t? No not at all.
Religion / Re: God Causes Disasters? by Dodgur(m): 10:12am On Feb 01, 2010
Matthew 5:45 “He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” There are many things to be said on this issue but the bottom line is this, good and bad things happen to good and bad people. Is this the will of God no, is this in accordance to the will of God yes. At first this seems like a contradiction but it is not at all and can be explained simply. I believe that C.S. Lewis gave an example of this in his book Meer Christianity when speaking of free will but I believe it will work fine here as well. He said that a mother tells her children to keep their room clean, wanting them to do so. But when she inters their room and sees that it has not been done she is upset. Now it was her desire that they clean the room but it was her will that they do it without her overseeing that allowed it to become dirty. There for, it is possible for something to be both in accordance to the will of God while not being what he desires to happen. The world is in a bad way, good things happen to bad people and bad things to good ones. Satan runs around seemingly doing whatever he wills and where is God? He’s right where He’s always been and that is everywhere. How can this be if he is a loving God for there to be heart ache? Because the world is full of sin and yes Satan is allowed to do a lot of bad things in it. Who brought this sin on us? We did from the first person to the last we all sin. Does this mean that only the sinful die? No we all know that is not the case. Does this mean God is evil? No, that is a contraction in terms at the least and completely wrong all together. Is God a sates? That is about the most ignorant thing one could say, how and why would God worship Satan and thus be a sates?
Religion / Re: A Prayer For A Financial Blessing by Dodgur(m): 9:42am On Feb 01, 2010
I do not understand why matters of faith are so often tainted by bias of denomination. This does not appear to be a Catholic prayer to me or any other sect of Christianity; in fact at the heart of it, it is not Christian prayer at all but a Jewish one. This is not to say that it is wrong but simply appears to be an adaptation of many prayers including that of Jabez from 1 Chron 4:10 who was a Jew. With that said I find nothing unscriptural about praying for financial blessing or any other kind for that matter. Blessings come from faith and as we should know faith comes by hearing, a prayer is an audible representation of an inner belief as well as a request to God. And, within 1 Chron 4:10 it states that God granted his request thus showing that prayers for financial blessings do in fact work. Given that the one making them has faith and assuming that the prayer is a Christian.

To anyone who says that it is “un-biblical” I ask, not as an antagonist but out of love, why would you think such a thing? The lord loves his children and knows what life on earth requires, one of those things is money plain and simple. If God did not know this he would not ask for a tithe, it is because he understands this that he asks us to give on to Him an offering because all we have was given to us by Him. The Bible is full of how God will bless those with faith and yes that includes monetarily. Take heart and have faith, Lord loves you and will keep you.
