Education / Re: 20 Signs You’re Succeeding In Life – Even If You Don’t Feel You Are. by dollarsignbloga(f): 6:49pm On Mar 11, 2020
Yusuf001:
Success does not always mean being the best and achieving the most. In fact, there are everyday things that we don’t consider important which are actually a part of our success in life. Read the following list of 20 signs that will help you feel a lot better about yourself.
1.Your relationships are less dramatic than they used to be
There is no room for drama in maturity. If your relationships were full of drama in the past, but now you have put that behind you, it is a clear sign of success.
2.You are not afraid to ask for help or support
Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Success is impossible if you isolate yourself from other people. You can accomplish your goals only if you work in a team and asking for help means you have grown a lot as a person.
3.You have raised your standards
You won’t tolerate bad behavior no matter who it comes from. Everyone is responsible for their actions and you know it. You don’t make room in your life for toxic people anymore.
4.You let go of things that don’t make you feel good
It sounds narcissistic, however it is actually a sign that you love yourself enough to let go of the things you feel uncomfortable with.
5.You appreciate what you see in the mirror
In fact, you should appreciate what you see in the mirror at any given moment of the day. If you are always aware of how much you are worth, it means you have succeeded in life.
6.You have learned that setbacks and failure are part of life
No one is 100% successful and no one is perfect. In life you will encounter victories and losses and the latter should be your setting stone for something much better. Don’t look at your losses as setbacks, instead consider them a thing that makes you grow into a stronger person.
7.You have people in your life who would do anything for you
If you are well aware of the people who will always stand up for you and pick you up when you are at the bottom, you are a very successful person. This lesson is learned the hard way because in order to see who is there for you, you will be betrayed many times in life.
8.You don’t complain much
You are aware that complaining about things no matter how horrible they were will never change anything. You know that you should live here and now and you are grateful for the life you were given.
9.You can celebrate other people’s successes
If other succeed it does not mean you have failed. Praise those who are rising and giving positive energy towards them will only result in that positive energy returning back to you.
10.You have passions that you pursue
You never sit at the same place because you are aware that you can contribute to the world with your unique talents and gifts. You are not just aware of it; in fact you take action.
11.You have things to look forward to
You constantly need things in your life that you will anticipate eagerly, unless you will be slowly dying. You need to create your goals and let the excitement of working towards them lead you to your success.
12.You have set goals that have come true
Failures and losses are an inevitable part of life, however sticking to your goals will result in success most of the times. Experiencing victory will give you the energy boost to keep going and creating new goals.
13.You have empathy for others
Being empathetic means you are able to spread love and positivity wherever you go. Successful people love other people just like they love their family members.
14.You love deeply and open yourself up to be loved by others
Love carries its risks, and it is scary for some people because of the possibility of being rejected. However, being able to open your heart without the fear of the outcome means you have succeeded and grown as a person.
15.You refuse to be a victim
You are the creator of your life experiences but these experiences are often given to you without your consent. This is why you need to be strong and accept them without being let down.
16.You don’t care what other people think
You can’t please everyone and you know it. So, instead you are true to yourself and love yourself just the way you are.
17.You always look on the bright side
Life is often filled with disappointments but only if you choose to look at them that way. Disappointments can also be viewed as learning opportunities and if you choose to learn from them they are no longer negative experiences.
18.You accept what you can’t change
You can’t have full control over every aspect of your life. However, you have control over how you feel about the things that happen to you. If you are able to look at things from the positive side, you are a successful person.
19.You change the things you can
There are more things you can change in your life than you may think. Successful people never accept the negative things that can be changed, so if there is something that bothers you stand up and do something about it.
20.Most importantly – you are happy
Being happy is the ultimate definition of success. It does not have to be connected with your bank account or the size of your house. If you are genuinely happy with no particular reason – you are a successful person.
hmm, good one.

Education / Re: How Feasible Is This Course In Nigeria? by dollarsignbloga(f): 1:19pm On Mar 06, 2020
Nnaemiemax:

The prospects of the course only exist in oil and gas with short-term advantages, except you have identified a problem/niche of which studying the course will provide you the expansive technical and base knowledge to sort out.

But, if you want to study a course with long-term relevance, then go for civil engineering.

Few years from now, crude/petroleum-based products will be replaced completely with renewable energy products. Check tesla cars, solar energy, etc.

We have gone beyond the stage where we study a course because of prospects, but because we know we can employ what is learnt to create a career that will bring you good cash, and that it possesses long-term relevance. Check out the top wealthiest people in the world, and see what they studied and you would realize they created wealth through the knowledge of what they majored in.

Think future..
My 50 cents.
You nailed it.

Education / Re: Define Your Success by dollarsignbloga(f): 9:29am On Mar 05, 2020
Christianokaro:
Define Your Success
It was during my final year in school that a friend of mine asked me this question ‘Karo, you living here in this hostel, where almost all your neighbours have things that you don’t have, doesn't that make you feel depressed sometimes’?

And I remember telling him that if there was one thing being my parents child thought me so well, it's to be contented with what I have. We had this discussion on and on and everything I said revolved around that.

But today, I want to answer that same question now, even if no body is asking. Sincerely, I wasn't interested in owning the things my neighbours had while I was in school. And am not talking about plasma TV and DSTV here(I think that was like the most ordinary thing in my hostel and I had non) am talking about cars and it's like.

I would say to myself every morning, Karo, you have a goal, you have a destination and most importantly, you happen to know this goal, you know where you are headed and you will get there at your own time.

That was my way of defining success for myself and for as long as I could remember my purpose, I had absolutely no reason to look at my neighbours and feel a certain level of shame. I understood that they had their own path and I have mine.

Too many are times we dwell ourselves too much in other people's success stories that we subconsciously drag our minds into depression. We so easily look at other people's lives and begin to feel less grateful for our own journey.

All that should stop!
And for that to happen, you need to tell yourself what success is to you!
That when you see your neighbour’s achieving things in their journey, all you can feel is genuine happiness for them and hope for your fulfillment.

Define Your Success
This is good.

Education / Re: Stop Saying I'm Sorry. It Makes You Look Local, But Rather Use These Words by dollarsignbloga(f): 9:25am On Mar 05, 2020
Gjrich:
Nowadays, the word ”I’m sorry” has become normal to some people they find it difficult to accept the word due to the way people often use it.

It is just an ordinary word to them. They say it anyhow expecting the other person to accept the apology.

One will tell the other one “I’m sorry” and the other fires back “is it sorry that I’ll eat”.

Therefore, here are ten other ways you can exhibit your remorsefulness without sounding cruel:

I apologise…

I had that wrong…

I take full responsibility…

It was all my fault…

How stupid/careless/thoughtless of me…

My mistake..

Pardon me…

Oh, my bad.

That was wrong of me…

Sorry about that.

Education / Re: How To Calculate CGPA In Any University, polytechnic Or College by dollarsignbloga(f): 1:14pm On Feb 24, 2020
Dapromzy333:
Calculating CGPA:Now this is one topic i have been meaning to write and make a video about for sometime now but due to some other activities i had it pending but today is going to be different because i have decided to talk about how you can calculate your CGPA in few minutes. The video would be rolling soonest.

What is the meaning of CGPA?
-Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)

Tell me more about CGPA:
One of the things you need not to overlook while you are in the higher institution is your CGPA especially as a fresher in school.Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is an assessment tool used to evaluate your academic performance. That means; this is what determines whether you are graduating with a First class (1st), Second class Upper or lower (2nd),3rd class or Pass.
.
One of the most brilliant things you should do at your initial instance in school is to know what CGPA means and how to calculate it and this is one of the reasons i advise a lot of students to make their Faculty Brochure their companion so they can get acquainted with it.

How to calculate Your CGPA
I was also going talk about the importance of knowing how to calculate your CGPA but i believe the upper paragraph has given us insight as to the importance of knowing how to calculate your CGPA. I will be using theUniversity of Portharcourt as a case studywhile you try to impleme nt the understanding you get from here on your school to get your actual CGPA.
.
Using UNIPORT as Case Study (Please Apply as it concerns your own school):
.
Below is the University of Portharcourt Grading Pattern: Please get that of your school close by.
.
Mark/Score | Letter Notation | Grade Point
70% & Above | A | 5.00
60-69% | B | 4.00
50-59% | C | 3.00
45-49% | D | 2.00
40-44% | E | 1.00
0-39% | F | 0.00
.
Degree Classification (Uniport Case Study) Please Apply as it concerns your school
.
Class Of Degree | CGPA
1st Class | 4.50 – 5.00
.
2nd Class Upper | 3.50 – 4.49
.
2nd Class Lower | 2.40-3.49
.
3rd Class |1.50-2.39
.
Pass |1.00-1.49
.
Fail | 0.00-0.99
.
Every course carries a fixed number of credit unit (CU) and note that Quality Points (QP) are derived by multiplying the credits Unit for the courses by the grade Points (GP) earned by the student. For example, in a course with 3 credit Unit in which a student had 72% (A) with 5.00 grade point, the quality Point is gotten by multiplying the credit unit for the course by the grade point ( 3*5=15).
Please endeavor to know the the credit unit for your course of study.

15 is the Quality point the student earned for that course.
Grade Point Average (GPA) is derived by dividing the Quality points for the semester by the credit units for that semester. In a semester where the student earned 56 quality points for 18 credit units, the GPA is 56/18 =3.11
Once you have gotten that; you can look at the class of degree table of your school to know where you fall under for that semester.

Your Total CGPA is gotten by adding the Total Quality points (TQP) to date and dividing by the Total Credit unit (TCU) to date. If the TQP is 228 AND THE tcu IS 68, THE CGPA is 288/68=3.35 and by Uniport Class of degree thats a Second class lower.
Please use the comment section if you have any question to ask and expect a reply. I should post the video soonest.

I want to bless 10 people interested in sitting for this year's jamb exam but have no means. Selection will be on first come first served basis. Thank you.
In addition, the best two results will be sponsored to the university. Note this has to be a federal university. I'm expecting transparency and honesty in whoever this might be. No fraud!
A very big Kudos to you sir. This is so rare and nice! May the good Lord continue to bless, increase and keep you and your family IJN, Amen. Wow! this is really good and I'm impressed. keep it up sir.

But sir, I wana ask, hope the sponsoring of two best results into federal university still stands? And please sir, hope it's open to those that struggled and bought their jamb forms themselves, made excellent results, given admission to a federal uni, but have no one to really sponsor them through it? Hope they can as well benefit from this your kind gesture too when the time comes sir? I await your response sir. God bless you.
