Mackie1: Thanks! Should he submit to Lagos VFS or Accra or Nairobi? I heard Lagos VFS takes 6-8 weeks to send back the stamped passport. 1 Like |

Hi folks. I’m in shock. My brother’s PR application was approved in one and a half months. God is good. He applied May 20. Received ready for visa email on July 5. Now to submit passport, he was told that the earliest date he can get in Lagos is July 31. Are there any other options he can explore? I’ve read through the FAQ on page 1 but couldn’t find the necessary information. Thanks! 1 Like |

Asapant:Hi. You are to fill all sections - A, B, C and D. If you don’t have any kids, leave section B blank, but digitally sign section B. If you don’t have a spouse/common law partner, digitally sign section A. Don’t forget to also sign section D. Hope this helps. 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello all. A friend of mine is applying for study visa. He has the tuition fee + 10k to cover living expenses for a year in his account. Does he still need to get a sponsor? If he does, is it compulsory that the sponsor transfer some money to him or will it suffice for the sponsor (his brother probably) to just sign a sponsorship letter? I’ll appreciate anyone’s take on this. Thank you in advance ☺️ |

Kinfinity007: Do you have your tracking number written down somewhere else? If so, just go with it to Vfs (take a copy of the data page of your Intl passport just in case) and explain to them. Do same even if you don't have the tracking number written down somewhere. |

Hello All, Been a silent reader here. Although I discovered this thread after I submitted my TRV application, I have learnt so much from the visa application process from you all. My TRV got approved yesterday, July 4. My timeline is below: Date of Submission (Online): May 16, 2018 Upfront medicals Medicals passed: June 11 Approval and passport request: July 4 Documents submitted: 1. CIC forms 2. 5 page SOP 3. Personal Statement of Account with NGN2.8 (1.5m was transferred to me by my mum through a Deed of Gift) 4. Scholarship letter covering my tuition issued by UBC 5. Letter of sponsorship from my mum 6. Mum's account statement 7. UBC admission letter 8. Waec, Nysc certificates and IELTS result 9. Copies of awards I have won in my field 10. Qualification certificates, my transcript, CV 11. Evidence of landed property owned by my mum 12. My car ownership papers 13. My birth certificate 14. Employment letter and promotion letter, employment ID card 15. Police clearance certificate 16. My payslip and mum's payslip I hope this helps someone. Truth be told, there is no exact method for getting a TRV approval. Just keep praying and holding on to God. When God says it is time, everything will fall in place. Wishing all TRV hopefuls the very best. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

swisster: You can only go for biometrics if you received a biometrics letter in your CIC account cos you'll need to show it at Vfs before you are allowed entry. |

vivicintia: Hello. How did you come about this info? I also got admission to UBC and I have applied for my study permit but didn't need to pay any sum to UBC for study permit. But if the info is correct, you'll need to send an email to UBC to find out about the refund. |

It's a sad one. But imagine if you found out after you married her? There's a silver lining in every black cloud. You'll look back in the future and thank God for this narrow escape. 4 Likes |

rewalter032: Hi. I think I would disagree with most people's opinions here. I really think you both are at fault for the relationship turning out the way it did. You said it yourself, she said the guy made her feel like you didn't love her or have time for her. So, going by what you said, she didn't exactly leave you because you didn't have money or a car. She had been with you for three years. More so, in a bid to get your attention, she called off the relationship and you said okay. You agreed to it. That was simply a cry for attention from her, but instead of affirming your love for her, you sealed her thought process that you actually didn't care about her. Her putting up the other guy's picture on her WhatsApp status whilst chatting with you was her way of getting your attention and making you feel bad. She's also at fault because she's apparently a bit childish and somewhat immature (I've been through that before). She was very naive and thought that a guy who had a car and all the works would make her happier, love her more and give her more attention. She later found this to be untrue.. The hard way. I think it was simply a coincidence that she realized that this new guy wasn't for real the same time your deal clicked. I think even if you hadn't told her that your deal clicked, she would have eventually come back to you. Plus, it seems you still care about her a lot. Relationships aren't perfect. People aren't perfect. Sometimes, things like this make a relationship stronger because she'll realize how close she came to losing you and won't want that to happen again. This is just my opinion. The decision is yours to make. 5 Likes |

Hello people! Great job here. I only just stumbled on this thread and I have learnt a whole lot from you all. Could someone please share their thoughts on this issue: I applied for student permit (online route) on May 16. Did upfront medicals. Got medicals passed update on June 11. But I read somewhere on the previous parts of this thread that a letter from your bank stating that you would be able to export your funds should be part of the documents uploaded in support of an application for student permit. I didn't include this when I applied. Should I get the letter and mail it to CIC or should I wait to see if they request for it? Thank you. |
