Education / Feeling Of Dissatisfaction by Dominic21: 2:21am On Jul 28, 2018
With a feeling of dissatisfaction, I wish to state clearly that the operation of NIIT Onitsha is not transparent enough.
I first had that feeling on the day of examination when I was very enthusiastic to write NIIT Exam at my chosen time slot(as there were three time slot). I arrived at the venue at 11:45am with happiness that I was on schedule judging from my chosen time slot. To my greatest surprise, I was told to join the 09:00am time slot with his assertions that they just started only to hear "15minutes remaining" at exactly 12:00pm prompt. It was very disheartening to me as I thought I would be considered because I just finished the first section about to enter the second second.
Surprisingly, I heard 5minutes remaining and that was how my paper was collected from me when I had not even gone more than half of the second section. I came out of the hall with much disappointment and had already rule out anything NIIT in my life.
On 23rd July, 2018 I received a mail from NIIT that the scholarship result was out. I called NIIT official line, then a lady responded and with apathy, I told her to forget about me that I never wrote anything and I asked her to check my name. Still to my greatest surprise, she said my name was there(someone that did not write up to half of a four section examination, she further persuaded me to come and check my score as she refused to check the score for me). Finally, I went to check both my name and score, they refused to disclose the score until the Orientation day. I was like "God! What is happening" I told the office attendant/receptionist that NIIT Onitsha is not transparent enough(what bothered me was the long distance I travelled all in the name of these jokes). She further advised that I should endeavour to participate during the Orientation, at which point the marks would be revealed.
It was on the Orientation day, 26th July, 2018, after the slide show accompanied with career speech in NIIT, we were asked to go meet the Counsellor; to see our score and choose a course.
They finally showed the hidden score. Lo and behold, I got 51%(9, 15, 15 &12) with a score in all the sections( somebody that only finished the first section and wrote half of the second one with the 3rd and 4th untouched. How is this possible? My people help me answer. I chose web development and they told me that my money is 108,000 naira(a discount of 40,000 as it would have been 150,000) with an acceptance fee of 5000 naira.

The most annoying part was a score they gave me from the sections I never wrote Shishi. I paid them the 5000 naira and told them that I have to come back, only then it became clear to me that it is a fraud. Their scholarship propaganda is to draw people to NIIT.
It's very obvious there is no scholarship in NIIT, period.

They manipulate scores and shortlist everyone for the continuity of their Institute. No scholarship in NIIT, they are after people's money, simple.

Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Iceland : World Cup (2 - 0) On 22nd June 2018 by Dominic21: 9:46am On Jun 22, 2018
The 3:0 goals to nil conceded by Argentina against Croatia shows Nigeria actually tried in their first leg.
We should not be discouraged at all.
Let's keep our fingers crossed......

Let's be positive....
