That's an OAU result and I can see that famous notice board beside Boone's office, a board that has witnessed both expression of joy and sorrow.

Not that they are the majority sir, they are just being ignored. Many thinking and good fellows that argue with opinions and facts hv gone solos. Many just come and read headlines and just avoid comments to avoid insults and attacks from kids that hv nothing upstairs than to shout up and down. Gone are the days when arguments were very interesting without insults. When I first joined nl in 2006, it was not like this.we learn a lot from our selves but now, it has been reduced to tribal wars, religious sentiments and immature insults and attacks. So unfortunate that seun is helpless. .
Before who can look at this politicians face to face talkless of writing against them. This is a guy every youth should support because of his numerous releases that have exposed many evil among the elites. But the reverse is the case.

True talk Sir. Though I joined later around 2010 and the quality of discuss back then was more intellectually engaging. Back then I looked forward to reading people's comments than even the news due to the diverse intelligent opinions of many. During those times, you could count the number of topics making front-page but that is now history. There's little Seun can do about it.

Thanks bro. U made 100% valid reply. And to those idiots and jambites disturbing our eyes with nonsense replies, they can't even talk against their Ward councillors any how. Try it if you are very lucky, the least you will get is swollen head.

This is a guy that, if ,by his virtue of his doggedness, he would hv been in upper house or lower house of Representatives by now if he wanted to. But he stands for something different in the society. He may hv his shortcomings, but knowingly how Nigerian leaders/ governments always silence opposition, he would hv been long dead. Knowingly how military leaders assassinated many comrades, he would have been dead by now. Knowingly how he was arrested , detained and injected with poisonous substances during military junta, he would hv been long long dead.
You are not going to die but live to keep on your work.
When SR owner coughs, all Nigerian politicians run for cover.
True talk Sir. I sometimes read about his ordeal in the hands of the military and my conclusion was, this guy is tough mehn. Let's leave the ignorant ones to wallow in their ignorance just that it's unfortunate that they are the majority.

Most kids here are too quick to haul insult on Sowore not knowing his comrade antecedents long before they were born back then in Unilag. I increasingly became afraid for his life in recent days considering how powerful his opponents are yet he sounds and looks undisturbed considering his consequent actions. Many of us attacking him can't even stand a common local government councilor yet we castigate a man not afraid of taking on even the most feared dictator in the history of Nigeria, Abacha. FOI, Sowore has nothing to lose, even if Nigeria implodes today, he's got a US visa and can conveniently leave the country. We should be grateful to him rather than sound like an ungrateful and spoilt child. Imagine someone who almost everyone in the government is afraid of and constantly prays never to be on his radar (go and ask Andy Uba how afraid he is since yesterday's glimpse into his 'PhD). Many don't know that Sowore death is a loss to them as a Nigerian. If not for people like him, impunity and corruption would have been more brazenly done. Please Sowore don't die for Nigeria cos she's not worth it. The so called Nigerians would be the first to insult you for 'stupidly' putting your life on the line for them.
Though Dino can be said to have graduated based on the VC report but the inconsistencies in his studentship is worth revealing especially the possibility of gaining admission into the so called 'almighty' ABU with three credits. Even if Sahara reporter is wrong about it, we all now know that Dino has a very questionable academic record. Ask Harvard and LSE if you're in doubt.

We wouldn't have known the following safe for Omoyele SR

He was the first to expose Abba Kyari N500m MTN bribe.
He was the first to expose Secretary General of the Federation, Babachir the grass cutter.
He was the first to report Buratai's property in Dubai.
He was the first to report how Nigerian airforce misfired and kill several in Borno.
He was the first & only platform to expose employment racketeering that was going on in CBN, NNPC, HOS & NSCDC where friends & relatives of top government officials were secretly hired.
He was the only platform that reported the outrageous amount Nigerian embassy spent to receive Aisha Buhari when she visited London, they cheered him for a job well done.
He was the only platform that reported how much it was costing the people of Nigeria to have Presidential jet parked in London for 30days, they insulted Buhari & wished him dead.

Just negodu the comments of subsequent posters, you'll see many commenting through the prism of tribalism, sentiments and ignorance completely devoid of good logic or fact.
To many who only find their voice behind social media and faceless forum like this and you can't mention one thing in the magnitude of the aforementioned that you've done for Nigeria, I'll advise you to shut up.

NB: Don't quote to insult me as I won't dignify you with a response

Please fear Nigerians o, their attack on Sahara Reporters of late made me conclude that most Nigerians on social media rarely think with their brains. They see nothing wrong in Dino but are quick to attack the only media platform that keeps the present day government on their toes. My advice to Sowore is that, he should not die for Nigerians because they will be the ones to blame him for putting his life on the line. He should stop SR and let those in government steal us dry cos despite the mind boggling revelation, nothing will be done.

Politics / Re: Dino Melaye’s NYSC Certificate Dates 9 July 2000 To July 8, 2001 - Senate by DonLo: 8:10am On Mar 28, 2017
Dongreat:
Let's be sincere to ourselves regardless of tribes or sentiments, an average Nigerian don't deserve good life. Yes you read correctly. Going through comments not only here but other social media sites has made me realized that the politicians are not the illiterates but the citizens. If a highly ranked senator who claim to be a graduate can't provide his original certificate after 16years of "graduation", lied about studying abroad and from his supposed SOR failed the course he later gained admission, can get away with all the evidence provided, worse still has massive supporters from the youth, then I am truly sorry for the nation "Nigeria". This is just one and I can bet my soul that many more are without education in that chamber.
In all said and seen in this country, an average Nigerian don't deserve good road, quality medical system, constant power, or a better standard of living because we are the fuel that flame the ego of these useless politicians.
Dino is an insult to true graduate worldwide as he's just fortunate to be born in a rotten system.
I agree with you Sir. One lesson I learnt following this news is that most so called educated Nigerians are daft in reasoning. I thought the Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka was proud when he said he wonders how he shares the same space with Nigerians. My brother, with this attitude of Nigerians I can conclude that this country has no future. I'm currently dusting my passport and I'll be voting with my leg in a couple of years. The country can shout brain drain for all I care, na them sabi.
Someone with such a questionable graduation could still dance shameless on YouTube, singing and gesticulating like a moronic slowpoke all because he thinks he's shaming his opponent. Watching the video accented my perception of Dino being a kid that has refused to grow up.

Politics / Re: Between Religion And Country.....? by DonLo: 6:58am On Mar 24, 2017
sauerr:
Religious belief has little substance. It's based on unsupportable details expressed in books written several centuries ago. Many of those details have no place in the modern world. To then fight for them? Parochial, to say the least. Sadly, the greatest world power, the United States, has executed some concerning wars on the basis of these ideas. In fact, they have a whole party built expressly on the foundation of these details. This is disconcerting.

At the risk of promoting nationalism, I'd say fighting for country is more representative of what loyalty should be. Naturally, every citizen swears allegiance to his/her country, even if non-verbally. Not betraying such allegiance is what sets a country on the path of greatness.

It must be said, however, that it is easy to conflate national duty with religion or at least to get so nationalistic it becomes an ideology. Ideologies generally led down dogmatic paths, which, in the end, aren't so far from religious endpoints. The United States' adventures into the Middle East are an example of the former and the crystallization of communism into national ethos in modern China clearly demonstrate the latter. Whatever the case, tempering any ideology with common sense is what we should have. But research and polls have shown that common sense isn't enough to provide guarantees for wars engendered by religion.

Dino was apt to forget when you live in a glass house don't throw stones and neither should you cheer those that are. If this country was sane, the best that the likes of Dino can be is a local government chairman and not a senator.

Very correct question. To me, we are ready for democracy just that we have a leader whose region do not have leadership trait. Leaders are sometimes made. Some are natural but you will be surprised that some people, because of their upbringing, thier religion teachings, as well as their general dullness and inherited culture and tradition of violent only, will never allow such people like the Buhari, the Babachir, the custom man etc to do the correct thing. Such people only see disobedience as natural. Just tell me any one court order Buhari has obeyed. As long as we move together with these class of people, expect a scartered life
I think all of them are following Buhari's footsteps. Afterall, the president too don't obey court orders.

When Nigerians advice you, pls don't adhere cos most are laced with hypocrisy.
When Tuface eventually proposed to Anni and she accepted his proposal for marriage some years back, many Nigerians felt she shouldn't have accepted. That after sleeping around and impregnating many women, after five children, he won't respect you. Many said she's doing so because of his money bla bla bla. While many said this, I just dey laugh.
Though I'm against the current baby mamas trend but deep down within me I knew Anni did the right thing for herself. They didn't excuse him due to the naivety of his sudden fame, his profession, the love between them and their long standing relationship. The past philandering of a man can be overlooked if he's a good man and a changed person. Most people blabbing then are hypocrites, na we the girls wey them impregnate they come beg for abortion for hospital (I don't do such though). Our past mistakes should not be used to judge us, people change. Follow what you're convinced is good for you not minding what people will say and live with the consequences.
Those advising her then I've since left their marriages while she's celebrating 4th years in marriage.

This is what happens when you understand that any position or status you have has more usefulness than its face value. Ooni could have sat in the palace like every other king , but no, he recognises the enormity in the kingship bestowed upon him and the fact that he can use it for many things which include: fostering unity (his fraternization with other kings even those far lowly than him), enhance business through youth engagement and tourism , exporting the black culture and religion, and also religious unity hence his multi-religious stance despite being a staunch traditionalists. We need leaders like him who can think outside the box. If you like call him waka waka king, he is representing the country than his peers.
