@ peterichy, I can relate so much to your story.
That was how I got scholarship in my 2nd year in d univ. Ppl were running away from d man who appears very strict . all d ppl DT were interviewed by him came out with squeezed faces. When it got up to my turn, I walked up to him...the only question he asked me is - are u related to ......... I answered yes. Oooo, where is he? ....... That was all.

When the result came out....I was no 1 on the list

grin grin grin

This story ain't complete naa. Are u related to who? Where is he?

Complete these questions asked during the conversation.

Is Champion breweries now a finance company? 78m profit and 28m is finance income.

Those guys need to utilize their excess cash. 1.27billion in cash.

Despite their excess cash, they have refused to pay creditors. Over 3 billion in creditors while only 647m as debtors.

Healthy company if u ask me. Though, they have excess capital and should either expand or return it to shareholders or at least convert to dollars before it becomes valueless.

Wish i loaded more yesterday. I see the bus driving to km3 in few days

You are wishing because, the bus is moving north.

I have learnt not to wish after a decision because, I am always fully aware of all the possible outcomes.

I knew UCap could go north, so I bought some units. I also knew it could go south, so I left so much more in cash.

I almost wanted to cry like u, saying I wish I had bought more, but I remembered that if had put in all that cash and it went south, na cry I go dey cry.

In summary, you did the right thing by buying the quantity you bought.

Cheers!

Guy, I understand the temptation, but it is never worth it at the end.

Do not be like Esau, who for a plate of porridge sold his birth right.

Avoid her calls, sound uninterested when you talk with her and finally pull away completely.

Do not make the mistake of enjoying her attention.

Ofcourse, a word is enough for the Wise!

Are you wise?

Money controls the market. The big demand guys are forming not interested. Few bids for most stocks.

Do not be deceived, go now and cherry pick, then wait!

Gradually, you will see growth. Especially for shares that are obviously undervalued.

Patience is key!

The idea again for FBNH is that if UBA is now selling above 5 naira, FBNH go reach there pass am.

Guys, let me help you make some money.

FCMB fell to 0.75 some few months back. Now its 1.4naira. An 86% rise not including a 10k div. Wow! This is pure abnormal profit.

When FCMB was 0.75k there about, we all knew it was undervalued and that within at least an interval of one year would present great gains, yet how many people bought it despite the knowledge that was obvious.

I didn't use Tiger brand as an example because some us never truly beamed our research light on it.

Back to my making money Scheme:

Another example of a money spinner will be FBNH. Come on! isnt it obvious. FBNH wrote off loans of up to 100billion last year and still delivered tangible profits.

The credit quality situation is clear and being tackled head on. In a normal year which I expect this year to be, FBNH will average an EPS of N2.5k.

Some analysts raised concerns about their dollar denominated NPL due to the pending devaluation. Why emphasize so much on dollar loans which a large % had already been written off and little mention is made of FBNHs many subsidiaries with foreign denominated balance sheets which will minimize the effect of any impairments. Devaluation losses will be written off by the balance sheet revaluation gains with a final minimal effect.

In summary, by release of Q2 results, FBNH will have edged up a bit more. I expect it to get to 5naira in July at least.

I am not an investment analyst, I am just trying to help you make money.

Finally, I need to add that FBNH is an expert in disappointing people, so no talk sey na me force you. Do your DD.

You bought a tranche, subscribed to e-dividend and then bought more in tranches. You didn't write the registrar to apply the e-dividend mandate to units purchased afterwards. Sadly, you are expected to do that. Once additional units are purchased, you are expected to notify the registrar to apply the existing mandate.

If all the units bought were bought before closure date and into the same CSCS acct which has the Edividend mandate, I expect that the full dividend be paid. I maybe wrong though.

@NuttyChoky
I really can't figure out the difference between disclosing percentage gains or losses and actual portfolio holdings/gains. But I think sticking to percentage holdings, gains, losses disclosures ensures some sanity on a thread like this. It doesn't give room for profiling and makes everyone feel more comfortable. You never can tell the effect on a starter with a portfolio value of like 50k or a money bag with value of like 200m. While the starter is in awe, the money bag is disgusted (if he thinks your purpose is show off).

Wise talk! I struggled not to strike his small amount.

Simple! Cause of death should be determined via an autopsy. If death is by violence of some sort, then the husband is guilty.

If death is maybe by some other causes implementable by a person who tries to commit suicide, then we can open the floor for deeper investigation.

Meanwhile, the husband has a strong motive for murder (Adultery by the Wife) and has a history of beating up the wife, so he is in big trouble whether guilty or not.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Dauda Lawal, First Bank’s Executive Director, Public Sector over $55million allegedly received from former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison Madueke, Sahara Reporters reports.

The bad news wey dey follow FBNH too much these days.

If not one heavy impairment, it will be the arrest of an ED or a warning about profits or one Analyst downgrading their opinion of FBNH units to ''sell'' from ''Hold''.

Any which way, I must sell at 3.80 at least. I am not ready to make any loss here, and after selling, I think I am done with them until they learn to manage their size.

NO!

The answer to the original question is NO, except the CSCS number is the same for both stock brokers but this is hardly ever the case. Each broker will usually open a new account for you if not, there will be confusion. You have to fill an E-Dividend form each time you open a new CSCS Account. The only unique identifier is the CSCS number not your name.
We all know there can be a hundred people who bear the same name with you so how do we tell the difference?

However, if you have an existing e-dividend mandate on a particular CSCS account with a registrar, all dividends from companies managed under that registrar will be paid using the existing mandate. For example assuming you have an e mandate on CSCS account XYZ for GTB shares with Datamax registrars, and you buy Seplat shares a year later on the same CSCS account XYZ you will not need to fill a new form for the Seplat shares.
I am not 100% sure this is the same for all registrars but I believe it should be so.

The current First Registrars e dividend form allows you to fill the different CSCS Account numbers you have from different stock brokers on one form. However, after submitting, if you open another new account, you must fill a new form.
I am making this assertion with full confidence because I contacted first registrars about this last week.

I await the day SEC will introduce something like BVN to link the various CSCS accounts and help solve the complications.

I hope I made common sense. Enjoy your Sunday.

U made common sense. Thanks for taking out time to expatiate.

Guys, if you have an Edividend in place for FBNH shares you bought through broker "A", and then you buy FBNH shares again through broker " B", will the same Edividend mandate be automatically applied to your broker "B" shares without you writing to the registrars, bearing in mind that the shareholder's name is same?
