that means i might not here from them again....is not fair they have to reply me so that i know the reason my visa was rejected again after i appeal it...if they do that witout letting me know their decision,that means france is not a democratic society......

my elder brother who was my host has sent an appeal letter to the french embassy and they wrote him for long that they will send him their final decission on my visa denial withing the next 2 months....now is more tan 2 months my brother have not hear from them...nairaland,what will i do...is there anyway to check the status of my appeal...or should i continue waiting for them...for how long can i wait...pls i need ur advise..reply

thank you for your reply..yes iam maried with two kids...the host my elder brother indicate it on the appeal letter...after he sent the letter to them in france,they ask him to write it in french language which he did...is that how they do it..they have reply him that he will get their decission within d next 2 months..is about a month now iam still waiting..thank you very much for ur advice..this site is the best site i have ever seen...reply

i apply for a netherlands shengen visa on behalf of french embassy from vfs and i was denied the visa twice...the first time i apply was early october last year 2011..my first shengen visa rejection was understandable because i was not having a job and i rely on my elder brother finace who is the host and stay n the netherlands...my elder brother brought me his bank statement as a sponsor..i was denied d visa for three reasons..one of it is my financial support...i did not appeal it because i think the visa was denied bec i was not having a job...luckily for me i got a new job november last year as a project manager in company with good salary...this year after 6 months of working i decided to apply for a visitin visa to my elder brotther in the netherlands...my brother sent me an invitation letter,heath insurance,ticket reservation etc to visit him for a month...on my part this time i provided my employment letter,approved leave of abscence,introdution letter,bank statement updated recently,three months pay slip..i was having enough money in my account because iam well paid.this time i was shock that my visa was denied with the same reason i got denied last year octber 2011 when i was not having a job....nairaland,is it that once u were denied a visa before,then anytime u apply again u will still get the same rejection...here are the reasons for the rejection even though i have money in my account as follows..1 you hv not provided proof of sufficient means of subsitence,for the duration of the intended stay or for the return to the country of origin or residence,or for the transit to a third country into which you are certain to be admitted,or u are not in a
position to acquire it lawfully 2 the information submitd regarding the justification for the purpose and conditons of the intended stay was not reliable 3 your intention to leave the teritory of member state before the expiry of the visa could not be ascertained.. a column was there to appeal it...the host my elder brother has appeal it over there in the netherland by sending the apeal letter to them in france...nairaland,pls help me on this...is there any hope of unturning their previous decision on my favour...so that i get the visa and visit my brother.sometime i wonder if they even check my document before rejecting me the visa the 2nd time bec my document was too perfect for rejection.also is it that once ur visa is denied the first time,then anytime u reapply even though ur condition has changed,the embassy continue rejecting ur visa with d same reason..how true is it bec this what happen to me..i need reply on this and advise
