You know the people who call to tell you your passport is ready? Or the email that notifies you it’s ready? I’m asking if you heard from them first or if you saw your name on the list first?

Also, have you received the refusal letter yet?

Ok.. Good evening, I'm yet to receive the letter.
I saw my name on the list.

Could you please share how you learned that the decision had been made? Did you receive a message or call from the courier service, or did you notice your name on yesterday’s list? Additionally, while I understand that you submitted your application on the 31st of July, could you clarify when it actually arrived at the embassy? Thanks.
Pls, kindly check the link below.

Good afternoon, brother. I'm really sorry to hear about your visa refusal. Here’s some advice on your next steps:

1. Review the Refusal Letter:
Wait for the embassy letter, which will explain the reasons for the refusal. Understanding the specific grounds will help you decide whether an appeal is possible or if it’s better to apply elsewhere. Please share the refusal letter with the forum so we can assist you further.

2. Appeal Process:
- You can appeal the decision if you believe it was unfair or if you can address the reasons for refusal. The appeal should focus on the grounds mentioned in the refusal letter.
- The typical timeframe to lodge an appeal is within 2 months of receiving the refusal, but check the exact period in your letter.
- Processing times for appeals can vary, but it may take anywhere from 6-12 weeks.

3. Tuition and Accommodation Refund:
If you decide not to appeal and plan to apply to the UK instead, you could seek a refund for both tuition and accommodation. Most schools have refund policies, especially in cases of visa refusal, so check with your institution on how to proceed. For off-campus accommodation, it’s important to review the landlord’s refund policy or lease agreement to see if you’re entitled to a refund, as policies may vary.

4. UK Application:
Applying to the UK for January might be a good backup. Research schools with a January intake and check the application deadlines. Keep in mind that UK visa requirements are different, and you'd need to go through that process as well.

If the refusal was based on a minor issue that can easily be resolved, an appeal may be worth pursuing. However, if the reason seems difficult to overcome, it might be more practical to explore other options, like applying to the UK.

It’s understandably a tough situation, but you still have paths forward!

Thanks brotherly, I so much appreciate your advice... Seeking for refund and applying to UK is the best option. Even if I Appeal now, I won't be able to meet up...will still defer admission till next autumn.

Good Afternoon house, my student visa application was not successful (refused). Please, what are the steps to take concerning an appeal and what is the feedback time frame. Should I seek for tuition refund and apply to UK for January or should I appeal? Please, I need your kind advice.... It's quiet devastating after the whole stress and finance. I'm still waiting for my passport and embassy letter.thanks

I'll advise you track your application online to be sure that the embassy have received your application cos the VFS people can be fuzzy at times. I submitted on the 31st of July and my application got to the embassy on the 2nd of September. Imagine!! More than a whole month to deliver my application from Lagos to Abuja! It's insane
.

Please, how can I track my application online? Thanks
