Registration is by payment which i have made. No, only fall. So if i defer it is till fall next year. Deferral requests are not even guaranteed or so they say. The London vfs replied an email some days ago saying once i get a letter of approval, my study permit can be activated at the POE.

Ooh for real?? So you don't need to submit your passport? Because I have a valid visitor's visa too, and still waiting on these people

So I landed in Montreal yesterday 4pm Montreal time. The only thing the border officer uttered was "Hey, welcome. can I see your passport". I passed it to him. He then entered it onto his system, stamp it, went behind his desk, printed out my Study Permit and passed it to me with my passport. Then he said "Welcome to Canada, that's it". I said "Thank you, have a lovely day". That was it.

No questions asked. No correspondence letter asked (If he had asked I didn't even have it printed out, it was on my phone since I got in transit. to Canada). Nothing about my school or where I am going to. nada.

Wow really nice!!

What school please?

Morning everyone,

If you have a visitor's visa with a validity that covers the entire period of your proposed study before you apply for study permit, what will happen? Will CIC issue another TRV for study? Or just study permit without TRV?

I hope my question is clear. Thank you.

My Work experience has not been Biochemistry related at all. Please I need your Candid advice!!

Masters admission might be difficult with your CGPA. Check out the link below for a PGD program

APPROVAL ALERT

Sorry this is coming late. I've also been an observer on this thread as well. i was supposed to share with the house but i've been very busy lately plus i wanted to hold the visa in my hand first to see for myself..lool (because CIC people are always surprising us) but after i saw what @mackano wrote i decided to just sharing pending the arrival of my passport.

Program- MBA
School- University of New Brunswick

Timeline.
i applied on June 9th
Biometric letter came in June 13th
Biometric done June 14th at VFS Lagos
Medical request August 14th
medicals done August 17th at IOM ikeja
medicals updated to pass August 19th
Passport request August 23rd
Submitted my Passport August 24th at vfs and i was told to cexpect it in 5-10 working days of which im currently waiting for at the moment

Documents submitted:
My Dad's SOA because he is my sponsor (sufficient one)
1.My transcript,
2. BSC certificate,
3. letter of sponsorship signed by my dad,
4.WAEC result,
5 Call to Bar Certificate and CV,
6. SOP (the SOP i used was the one i wrote for my school in other to get admission there, i did not know i was supposed to write a different SOP for Visa,
7. Admission letter,
8.Acceptance deposit of 1k (i did not pay tuition before applying)and passport bio data page.

i finished uni in 2015, then i went to law school, finished in 2016, finished NYSC in December last year (2017) and as that time i submitted my application i was not working then (unlike now). All in all i forgot to submit a lot of things like police certificate and all, i did not even put home ties or submit any information on my siblings or any other thing. when i joined this thread i discovered i did not submit a whole LOT of things and my application looked watery to me and i was scared cause a friend who is an agent did my application for me for free so i was getting jittery.

But regardless i believe that it was just God that helped me out because i was already losing hope. To all the TRV hopefuls it will definitely end in praise. this last week of august will not pass anyone by. there shall be no denials or deferrals just positive vibes only. Thanks to everyone that contributed in this group, i've really learnt a lot.

@jibola, Ralph Daniels, Onyi, Dami, Ruth and Florence, kingfintan it will definitely end in praise

Congrats!!

Please, when did your eligibility reveiw start? Can you remember?

Nothing will happen. If your passport will expire before the end of your program, CIC will simply issue you a visa valid till the expiry date on the passport. The same applies for the Study permit. What this means is that at some point during your studies in Canada, you will have to apply for study permit extension. It not really a big deal.

Thank you big man. I appreciate.

Please, what's going to happen if you apply with a passport that will expire about a month or 2 before the end of your proposed program?

A response will be appreciated. Thank you!

Please do we have any June "Online Applicant" who has been called for Medicals yet? Kindly let me know and when did you apply.

Also, for those of us waiting for the medical mail, if it comes later than August 25th we may not be able to meet up with the resumption date because I noticed Q-Life Family Clinic is fully booked till September 7th 2018 while "the children practice" next appointment date was 16th of August as at yesterday.

MY TWO CENTS

If you are planning to resume with your school this Fall, kindly take the advice of several people here and go for your medicals BECAUSE when children Practice is fully booked you might need to travel out of Lagos for your medicals to avoid the inconveniences.

It will end in praise for us all...

I applied online June 29th
No update yet.

Are you sure it's safe to do the medicals without a request for it?? Asking because I'm willing to do that!
I helped my friend applied June 22 (online). He did biometric on 25th. But since medical request was not forthcoming I encouraged him to do an upfront medical. He did it on Monday, we uploaded the medical sheet same day. Today I saw an update "Review of medical results We are reviewing the results of your medical exam". Hopefully it ends in praise. He called the children's practice today they told him to call back tomorrow evening to confirm if the results had been uploaded from their end. I wrote a short note on reason why he decided to do medical.[/quote

You used Webform to upload the medical sheet? If yes, where did you direct the Webform to?
