Hello SemperFid. I understand your situation and trust me, I was in that same thing about 5months ago. However, I never relented. Your profession still falls under healthcare/medical hence you are at an advantage. Being a more matured guy in tech, I watched my CRS decline from 405 to 330 in a space of 2yrs.

Options:
1. French Exam : Take the TEF/TCF french exam. I had to register with AllianceFrancais to learn French for 6months. Taking the exams will make you qualify for the category-based draws and French is highly sought after in Canada.
2. PNP : Some provinces want health workers so bad. In my case, they also needed tech professionals in New Brunswick, so i researched and attended couple of Info Sessions/webinars to know more about the province. In no time, I received a Notification of Interest then submitted an EOI. Got the Nomination, submitted and within 6days, got ITA with the next draw and a boosted CRS of 913.

For those with CRS of 450 and below, please don't lose hope, PNP and French exam to the rescue

Hey Bros, seems our situation is very similar, please I need help on this New Brunswick PNP. I am currently in canada but CRS is very low, pls guide me on how to get the Info Sessions/webinars that helped you get your ITA

Hello People

Please I need sound advise on the best PNP route for me and the necessary steps to apply

I am a software developer with over 10 years of experience
I recently took IELTS and scored writing - 7.5, listening - 7.0 , reading - 9.0 , speaking - 8.0 , overall band 8
Age : 39 by June
Highest education - Msc
CRS score : 355
I am currently in canada on an open work permit that expires in december and still trying to get a job in my NOC
My wife is schooling in ontario and will be done by august , though she qualifies for a 3 year pgwp and hopefully I will also get an open work permit based on that but with all the stress around a job in the right NOC being a pre requisite, it is difficult to rely on that solely

I need to know the right province for me to get a PNP without a job offer and with my low score, as a software developer

I got a denial today

Reason :

You do not qualify under the IMP as you provided insufficient information to demonstrate
that your spouse is a full-time student in a qualifying program at a DLI in Canada. Refused under
R205(c)(ii)

Please for those that experienced this and reapplied, how did you go about it. My wife is enrolled in a 2-year post graduate diploma program and she is in her second year, she is also entitled to a 3-year PGWP. The shocking thing is that the SOWP was done together with a study visa extension which was approved, yet the SOWP was denied

God is indeed great!

After my refusal on the 15th of March, I was thinking of applying for reconsideration but my wife insisted we reapply immediately. So we did and we connected online throughout 16/17th midnight to reqrite the SOP and submit. It was particularly stressful for me cos I wrote IELTS on that same 16th and was really tired. Left to me I would have waited till the next week but she insisted.

Ls las we submitted early morning (Naija time) of the 17th only for the new policy to come out on the 19th.

To God be the glory

PPR came today!!!

Send a reconsideration request, add your spouse's current transcripts and appeal to their emotions as well.

Does reconsideration really work or is it better to re apply?

Also can I send reconsideration and still re-apply at the same time, just to save time, considering the upcoming ban

Hello, please I need sound advise about my chances for OINP.

My question is, what is the best way to package my application and do I have a chance to get Ontario PNP?

this new sowp rule will it affect

1)Those who are currently in a 2-year post graduate diploma programme and just want to bring their spouse now
2)Those who have already applied for SOWP but yet to get response

Good morning everyone......I applied for Sowp for my self in October and did my biometrics on the 30th of Oct. Biometrics was uploaded/reflected on the 31st of November
My issues:
1. My medical hasn't been uploaded but my son's own has
2. There's been no update since
3. I applied using my own gckey account not my husband's own account..... could this be the reason for the delay?
4. Is it advisable to send web forms and how do I go about that?
By profile just kept saying background check ongoing
The wait is not easy

Hello

pls can you help, while trying to fill mine, I could not go pass this question

* What exactly do you want to apply for? (required)
I am the spouse, common law partner or dependent of an H-1B visa holder

I can barely understand you, but I will try to explain all scenarios as much as I can.

1. If his visa is issued before her graduation, that's great because both of their extensions can be processed simultaneously, either online or when they go to the border (flagpoling). This seems quite straightforward to me.

2. If he hasn't received his visa approval yet, he'll need to continue waiting until it's approved. This scenario is also quite clear.

Now, let's consider a scenario based on what you've described.

Immigration Officer: "Are you working?"
Spouse: "Yes, I am working," provided she actually is employed. Working is not inherently a problem; it largely depends on the specific conditions you've assumed. The Canadian government doesn't prohibit work. Review your Study Permit and Work Permit. If they expire before you flagpole, then you know you need to cease working. This isn't overly complicated.

We should always strive to ask the right questions when uncertain to ensure we receive accurate information. There's no need to instill fear in others.

Regarding those who went to flagpole without adequately informing themselves beforehand, it seems that was a decision they made independently.

My advice to everyone, including Nigerians here, is to engage with others, seek information, conduct research, and, when necessary, consult with immigration experts to resolve any doubts. You might be surprised by how much you can learn in a short time.

Just recently, I consulted an immigration professional here in canada while I was cracking my head about how to go about an issue with me. 95% of what the immigration consultant said, I already knew, my payment was actually for that 5% to get a clearer picture. This is life, it is give and take.

Good luck to all!

Weldone OkukuOne, please I have a very peculiar situation and I need your advise

I got married to my wife in lagos, 2 saturdays ago.she currently schools in canada and her student visa expires in May 2024, though her program ends in August 2024 and she intend to apply for extension. her program also qualifies her for a 3 year pgwp

As for me, I got my visitor's visa in november but I never mentioned that I have someone in canada, I only applied to visit as a tourist.

she is going back to canada in January and we are considering applying for her student visa extension and my SOWP together when she returns, is this a good strategy? and how can we do this?.

Option 2 is for me to start the sowp process immediately but I am worried that she doesnt have up to 6 months left on her visa and also how do I explain that I have known her and we have bn dating for years, considering that I never mentioned her when I applied and obtained my VV

You can change your visitor visa to SOWP by flagpole. Why can't you wait till December to legally marry your new wife?

Then I believe you can use your visitor visa to travel to Canada and flagpole to change your vv to SOWP

Thanks but flagpoling is not an option as I do not intend to travel till march.

I have my VV now and will like to apply for SOWP immediately after marriage in december, just wondering if that will affect my VV in anyway and the best way to present our case

Please I need candid advise, and will be happy to get great responses from the house

In july, I applied for visitor's visa as "legally separated" and got the visa approved this november. My divorce also got finalized in August and I am marrying my fiancee this december.

My fiancee is currently schooling in canada and her student visa expires in May 2024, though her program ends in september so she will process an extension, sh also qualifies for a 3-year pgwp after school

My questions are

1- Is it ok to apply for SOWP in december, will it in anyway affect the Visitor's Visa that I already have
2- Do I need to update my marital status before applying for SOWP, if so, where do I do that
3- What is the best way to package my application and what is a reasonable POF for this

Thank you all in anticipation

Hello People, please I need advise on something

My fiancee is currently studying in canada and her study ends by august 2024 , also we plan to get married by december 2024.

However I have an ongoing visitor's visa application which I started about 3 months ago without any feedback, though I never mentioned her in the VV, I only claim to be a tourist who want to visit canada.

My question is, after marriage, is it advisable to raise a webform to notify IRCC of a change of purpose, will that likely help the case or make it worse

My cousin's highest qualification is a PGD (post graduate diploma), which he has duly evaluated, will he still need to evaluate his Bachelor's degree. If No, what will he select as qualification on the application portal.

Please my Fiancee left for school in January 2023, her program and visa ends in August 2024. We plan to get married in August and then commence SOWP to enable me to join her after wedding. Please what are the modalities and how long will this likely take. Also does the fact that she has less than a year left on her study visa (minus post study) affect anything?.....Hoping to hear from someone soon

Thanks
