Politics / ASUU Millionaire Report: For How Long: by DrKing(m): 8:25pm On Oct 18, 2009
This ongoing industrial action embarked upon by ASUU over their disagreement with FGN is a two edged sword. Meanwhile, there is something you can do while awaiting the big fight between the two elephants.

Romance / Re: Who Is A Nice Guy---pls Define by DrKing(m): 7:44pm On Oct 18, 2009
A real guy is a MAN of his word but a nice guy is one who pleases his girl friend(s). I will like to add that ladies at first like nice guys but eventually settle down with real guys.

Whether real or nice, as a guy read the Millionaire Report attached to this thread to boost your status before the ladies. Be in control.
Politics / Re: Lagos Governor Calls For State Police by DrKing(m): 7:37pm On Oct 18, 2009
Nigeria is a federation and NOT a confluence of States. Nigerian State has a structure it follows its operations such as federal system of governance and administration. The question of State Police is totally NOT within the State jurisdiction. Fashola may have good intention about this issue, just the issue of local government development areas, it has be in line with what is obtained in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

State Police, in the hands of these political gladiators and irresponsible rulers, will certainly turn into evil and the Nigerian massess will suffer for it. Above all, the disadvantages [evils] of State Police far outweight its advantages. Other well meaning and enlightened Nigerians should bear their minds on this subject before it gets out of hands to these so-called reps or whatever, who know next to nothing unless to emblezzle our treasuries.

God bless Nigeria with self-less leaders.
Politics / Re: Fg Declares Mend Enemy Of State by DrKing(m): 7:19pm On Oct 18, 2009
Federal Government of Nigeria can declare anyone or organisation as whatever but then the question is what responsibilities, services and opportunities has FG provided to the people. There is what I called Strain Theory, which simply means that the environment determines behavior of the people. Thus, in Nigerian society, the government at all levels ARE NOT responsive to the care of the people and expect conformity to the Law.
Travel / Re: Why Will Anyone In His/her Right Senses Want To Vacate Nigeria To Live In The Uk by DrKing(m): 8:09am On Oct 16, 2009
The answer to the poster is simply summaried by Mrs. Bill Clinton, US Secretary of the States,
mentioned when she visited Nigeria. Moreso, if given the opportunity, no one else would want
to stay these bunch of criminals in the corridors of power and responsibility. May the Lord
intervene in this nation.

Education / Re: Strike: ASUU Branches To Vote On Deal by DrKing(m): 4:57am On Oct 15, 2009
Vote is a game of numbers, just the same applies to politics but the critical question is should
the destinies of the youths and Nigerians be turned into games like ludo or whatever, God forbids!
Who knows if ASUU leadership at the center is "settled" and now asking the other branch chapters
to vote. I ask vote for what? The Nigerian State is sick, hey wait a minute Saudi Arabi,

I hope this is NOT to deceive the intellectuals and box us to a corner and lose public support.
Let ASUU/FG fight for whatever , but the truth is that both parties have gotten what I refer
to as the means of production and that's why the Lecturers can call the bluff of FG and do
whatever, What about the "Students" They say where two elephants fight, the grass
suffers. Whatever you are, take your destiny into your hands. God bless u.

Politics / Re: What Exactly Is Nigeria's Population? by DrKing(m): 1:50am On Jun 17, 2009
Demographically we need to know Nigerian population disaggregated by gender, age and other inidices basically for the purpose of development. For instance, how do we plan in terms of education without knowing the population age groups in any state or local government area? That's why we do not have daily update list of births and deaths unlike other developed nations. Tradition or nor tradition, we cannot avoid to be achaic in this regard. Presently Lagos State is trying to challenge the last census but with data, ?
