European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Dunvegan(m): 6:35pm On Aug 02, 2015
Arsenal wins and haters disappear like roaches do when the light comes on.

A good victory achieved through solid defending and confident goal keeping. Not our typical passing & attacking football but I'm happy to see Wenger change his style to adapt to different teams.

We gave them a lil dose of their own medicine and there goes Mou, moaning about 10 people behind the ball. That's rich coming from the chief bus-parker himself.

We've had a good pre-season, better than the last few years. A sign of something great on the way ?

Politics / Re: Lagos To Join Oil Producing States In 2015 by Dunvegan(m): 5:43am On Apr 17, 2015
This is interesting.
It's amazing how people here are confidently confirming and disputing the presence of oil in Lagos . If you have not completed a comprehensive exploratory program of the area, you cannot tell for sure.

It won't be strange to find oil in Lagos (infact I believe in its occurrence there) but then comes the question of whether it is economical or not.

I'm sure these guys will do a thorough job to confirm what they're getting into before they sink all that money downhole.

Having read some comments here, I will like to say that,
- 'Coastlines' do not translate to hydrocarbon reserves (or resources)
- Bitumen in Ondo does not necessarily migrate and become Oil in Lagos (migration is not that simple)
- Having oil in the Niger Delta and Ghana does not mean Lagos has oil too, they are completely different petroleum provinces with different structural histories; besides, it takes only a few hundred meters (not to mention 1000 km) to go from a gusher to a beautiful dry hole.

Horror show bawo ?
We weren't outplayed or beaten. We let them have a couple of sniffs at our goal, we didn't win by an emphatic scoreline but we got 3 points in the end.
If you call this a horror show, I wonder what that ManU 8-2 drubbing was to you.

What an ugly boy..smh..

I don't care if he looks like Bancé, as long as he can defend and legally 'kung-fu' opponents, I'm good.

This is football not a beauty contest cheesy .
