hahahhahhaha d mail even make U forget say na August U do interview lol........... I got a regret mail too n I guess because I told dem I am doing my Msc. well for nw I am nt meant to work dere I guess. Cheer o! Dynssy and lets all hv the strong zeal n will. 1 Love.

I actually love it that ure laughing, its given me the grace to laugh too. Anyways, it might not even be the msc thing. I am not doing msc. I know tht most people say tht its difficult to guage ur own performance at an interview, but I do think the panel seemed 'whoohed' each time I dropped a response. But nw that Ive received the mail, its beginning to seem like it was a negative sort of 'whooh' grin. Then they were asking me what I thot abt relocating to lag (I stay in abj), If I had a home I cud stay, and if I'd be free to resume on the 2nd of september. In summary, lets just say I expected to get in. But its all well.... All things work together for good to them that believe. Better things are definitely on the way... cheers....

olayideg: Pls house, I wrote my test in ph and now am being invited for documentation in lagos. Isn't dis contradictory?

Sorry dear, I don't hv a response 2 ur questn as I'm also new in d process. But I'll advise dat u prepare well and attend. If its an error, they shd b d ones 2 sort it out not u. Alternatively, u can go 2 their office (d training sch whr d test was done) in ph and tok 2 d HOUR if ure anywhere around ph.

I have a lil questn tho; pls wn did u write ur test in ph? I wrote mine on 23rd July, got feed-back dat I was successful and I'm still waiting 4 dem to reach me. Pls kindly respond.

harriseen: guyz I calld MBL & dey sed dey're stil waiting on mangmnt 2 giv dem d all clear 2 proceed 2 d nxt stage. Dint find out when possibly dat wil b though. Som oda person could call & find out. In d mean time dey also sed non of us dat did interviews in March hav rcvd any mail & dat each of us has a 50/50 chance of getting either a regret or success mail.

Did I hear som1 say 'na wah oooo'?

Hariseen, thank u 4 ur efforts. But wats with d 50/50 chance thing? So a company wud conduct interview and not say a word 2 her candidates after 5mths, and d HR says dis wn contactd?

If unemployment rate wasn't so alarmimg in naija, I bliv companies wud sit-up and treat prospective employees with some dignity. They'd rather b concerned dat d gd ones who indicated interest in serving their company would hav lost faith by nw and accepted other gd offers, at a grt loss 2 their company. But NO!! Dey're sure we're folding our arms and waitng 4 dem 2 luk our way, after whc we'd run 2 church 4 thanksgiving. Well, let's hope their '50' r still dey waitng 4 dem.

wat wud it cost MBL 2 giv a verdict evn whlyst waitin 4 mgt 2 decide wn successful ones resume?

I don dey tok 2 much already, na vex cause am. Make I pack oneside 1st.

I mean, I can say that FMN has done well to kp her candidates posted with both good news and bad news as applicable, evn thoh it tarries atimes. So r u sure dat people hv bn reached?

vknights: If anyone among you is destined to work with FMN, surely you will be called.. I have heard series of pple complaining about doing CBT and not being called or went for an interview and waiting for a suitable response accordingly!!

In my own case.. I applied in March 2013, did a test in May , attended two series of interviews in June and got my employment letter in July. I was never bothered, and took all for granted not until the last interview when i saw something positive glittering from afar. But don't get it twisted, i was the only chosen one out of 30 applicants.

You all stay calm and remain positive.. All the best.

Whooh!!! This is interesting. Congratulations!!!
I'm guessing this isn't a trainee position. I'm I right??

Hy Wesslier, u hav a good story going here.

Well, its not my intentn 2 b a silent reader, but one can hardly blame me. I get carried away by ur story and somehw tend 2 ignore d few errors dat I spot. Most of dem r grammatical errors which I just sweep aside as typos. And other more technical ones, I just assume are a uniqueness of form. But nw dat u mentn it, I'll go over d story more critically and drop my observations.

On d whole, dis is absolutely cool. I hope 2 c it on book-shelves in d near future.

MickeyMo: @ dynssy, thinking out loud also; I think all those interviewed on 1st and 2nd Aug were all for Agro-Allied division cos most of us have Agricultural Sciences and Engineering background. Some of us were already interviewed in Febuary and called back again for the Aug interview. Some for the first time in Aug. I doubt we will resume on monday considering we've not been gotten back to now. Maybe the agro-allied division trainees will be called, resume and be trained @ a later time. My thoughts. All the best to us all.

I love your thoughts!!! smiley

I'm just thinking out loud:

Croxx and co resume training on monday. Does dat mean we won't be joining their training session?

If dats d case, wat den is our fate?? R we going to have to wait 4 dem 2 finish their training in a year b4 we start? Or will we b trained in batches?? Y did d panel whc had in it top officials drop d date (2nd sept) if it wasn't to be??

For dos who had their chat btw 1st and 2nd of aug, where u all being chatted 4 agro-allied division?

I'm sorry if u don't like my thoughts. I'll try 2 think less audibly next tym.

Yvonnedur: what he did is not a bad thing.we all can also learn from the correction. moreover the thread has been boring and posts like this help to make the thread funny and lively like it used to be.

Are you for real? What exactly did you learn from which correction? So you have no problem with someone talking down on another in a public forum, as long as it, in ur words, 'makes the thread funny and lively like it used to be'. Don't you think that is rather selfish??

Maybe you should help us out by pointing out the correction in this statement: 'with this kind of English, passing the test and interview may not be easy at all. sorry oooooo.....just saying..!'

You may want to skip along next time if you have nothing progressive to contribute. One love........

Before I begin, I have to make it clear that I'm not in any way faulting ur assertions, my problem is d lack of tact in ur approach.

From his posts, its glaring dat he has issues with his english, but we shdnt mark him down b4 he enters d exam hall. Ur post has d potential of playing down on his psyche whc might ultimately reflect on his performance.

Alternatively, u could hav PMed him with ur observatn and suggestns 4 improvement. Or u cud hav used any other non-degrading means.

On d whole, u did well by commenting at all, some of us ignored it completely. Well done.

This narrative is agrueably the best Ive seen in my scan of this forum . You weave up a tale just like a pro, keep it up!!!

For those who aint following yet, its called 'suspense' in literature. Its a necessary ingredient that every great story must have. I'm sure you understand perfectly what he's saying, it just leaves lots of questions on your mind as regards what happened afterwards, and how all the sub-plots are related. These questions are what keep you coming back here. If he tells u all of it, I bet u all will abandon this thread. My advice is, fasten your seat-belt and let the pilot do the navigation. I can assure you that you're in competent hands.

Ehm...... Well done once again.

Ure not kidding, r u? Atyms wn policies r introduced in2 Nigeria, u begin 2 wonder if the policy makers take in2 acct d statistics (however independable dey may be) available 2 us. NBS reports dat abt 61% of Nigerians live on less than a dollar, a day; UNICEF reports dat abt 70.8% of Nigerians live on less than a dollar a day and abt 92% on less than 2 dollars (ie less than abt 300naira).

Now, a meagre 15000 is still being contested by d elites as being too much as minimum wage. How does Bala expect the average Nigerian who probably dosnt care much abt living in d capital, but is being dragged there 4 econmic reasons 2 survive d avoidable hardship he is creating.

If u reside in abj, u'd knw dat banning d arabas has brought untold hardship on nigerians. The long buses r few, irregular and wud neva get u whr u wanna b on tym. The rush 4 accomodatn within d city centre has thus increased raising house rents in d city centre to laughable figures. Decent one bedroom and a parlour (without dining room) nw rents 4 as high as a million naira 4 just 12 mths, and some landlords demand 2yrs rent.

Nw all these is without consideratn of d bus drivers, conductors and in a lil tym, taxi drivers who'll join d already over-bloated unemployment pool.

I'm not saying Bala shdnt beautify abj, but y insist cab-drivers buy ur cab. For d ones who already hv cars, cudnt d cars b worked, inspectd by d VIO 4 road-worthiness, fitted with air-conditioners, maintained at a cerytain standard and allowed 2 operate? Cudnt d buses dat r decent be allowed 2 run d streets. Must d govt and its officials continue 2 feed fat whilst d poor masses suffer?? Now don't these people hav rights to do business anywhere in Nigeria if dey r able to meet a certain minimum requirements??

NAIJA, FOR HOW LONG

Hi guys. I would have come here to comment sooner but I just couldn't find this thread angry. Anyways, FMN contacted me in feb, saying I didnt scale thru the function specific test. However, on monday d 15th of July, I got a call from their HR asking if I was still interested in the position and talking about a chat. From how the conversation went, she apparently thot I had been interviewed. I made certain to inform her that I wasn't invited for interview (wouldn't want to travel 12hrs just to find out that FMN made a mistake grin). She said, owk, but was I still interested in the position? And I said 'yes'. Anyways, I received a mail last monday inviting me for interview at Apapa on thursday (1st Aug). I dont if I'll be expecting a chat as said during the call or an interview as indicated on my mail. I need ur suggestions on how to prepare. Thanks.....

Well, I really don't c ur reasons 4 name calling here. The Beam has bn mature and logical with his submissions. And there's no compulsion to agree with him. I really do not c how having a diff view on a subject amounts 2 'making trouble'.

People get invited 4 TS with dates and venue stated, now dats FACTUAL information. They come here and share same and no confidentiality code is broken. Another comes and SPECULATES on possible TS resumptn dates (NB: key word - Speculate), and hell is let loose. Are 'we for real'??

I'm not saying corporate bodies don't have their secrets. But I'm certain dat mere speculatns by outsiders don't qualify.
