The south west state have no more money to do any single project . They are broke. They go from bank to bank to borrow money to meet thier monthly duty. Abuja is not North technically and if you want to compare North and south west in terms of education, then you need psychaitric help. I don't care how big Northern schools are, they can never get close to south west in the next 100 years. Igbo leading in academics is no more a new gist. Ibime posted this long time ago and i think it's a good thing for the south west because it will serve as a wake up call.
North is still the leader in mud houses. It's poverty rate that determines how you live and if North is the poorest of the three, why do you think they have better houses? |

is that not the same kwara where teachers flunked a test comprising pry 4 math and english question. maibe the police men in the state were taught by those teachers. The Nigerian police has nothing to do with state . The DPO or state inspector of police may be igbo or hausa and I suspect the latter. No yoruba police will come up with this kind of ridiculous news. |

Why does Ibadan have to be a state? To get more federal allocation which will help bring more development to the area. It's actually beneficial. Ibadan alone is more populated than Kebbi and zamfara states joined together, why can't it be a state? |

Lol. You and Modupe, aka MarmaMod are entertaining me. keep it up, until you grow out of it. Marrying one widow, could not be in any normal be considered widow hunter. Could you then consider a person who marries a divorcee, a divorcee hunter? Could then say that a man who marries a woman who never have married before a never married woman hunter? Could you then say a person who marries a virgin isa virgin hunter? Are you sacred i will tell nairalanders about your impotence? ![]() ![]() ![]() Funmilayo. Big mouth girl. One woman that I married is not enough to say that I prey on her type. May God not make you lose your husband. If that were to happen, will it be a sin for another man to marry you after many years you have been single? What if a woman is divorced? Does she have the right to be remarried? Oops. I forgot that you are a Christian and your religion allows just a one time marriage. If a husband dies, you are on your own, rejected and no more chance for you. If you are divorced, its all over, too. Islam is different. It deals with the situation that naturally occurs with human.Lol ![]() ![]() ![]() |

There are more beautiful places in Nigeria than the pictures you display here. If you want to join Togo or rep of Benin, why not move down there with your family as a legal immigrant?. You don't have to drag the whole yoruba race with you. |

The igbos or the yorubas or ijaw are not willing and would never give abuja our land. You would need to kill the last yoruba man or igboman to turn over our land to the abuja(northerners). ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The paramount thing a leader should be concerned about is the welfare of his/her people. A governor that gives no damn for even a soul being jobless in a nation where poverty rate is over 70% is not worth his onions. Nairalanders are yet to separate their sentiments from their logic. The so called illegal structures have been there for ages and the same govt allowed it only to wake up and demolish them overnight. I am not against moving them because the human resources that is being wasted is invaluable. If Fashola continues to destroy markets and close some like this, lagos economy will be hogwash in a matter of months. Todays world is in economic peril and only a foolish leader will be destroying the ones at hand when new ones are yet to come by. [size=14pt] |

I hope Gani will agree to defend the goat although i suspect they've tortured him to make a statement. This story sounds somehow, are you sure they are not confusing an aboki with a goat? |

Any part of Niger Delta is still more peaceful to live in than any North where the mere mention of Mohamed can make them burn everything down except their mosque. Full idiots. They should quit polygammy because 90% of them do not earn enough to even marry one wife let alone four(4)Spot on. |

Woman puts girl’s hands in burning fire Accuses her of stealing money, beads Save my life, victim cries out to Gov Fashola By CHRISTOPHER OJI Thursday, January 22, 2009 Eight years old girl, Angela Chaba, whose two hands were put in a burning stove by her uncle’s wife, has made a passionate appeal to the Lagos State Governor Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, to save her life. advertisement The little girl would also want the State Commissioner of Police (CP), Marvel Akpoyibo, to bring her assailant, Mrs. Gladys Jikalemu to justice. The victim is currently on admission in Burns section of the Orthopedic Hospital, Igbobi, along Ikorodu road, Lagos. Giving graphic account of what transpired between her and her guardian, Chaba said: “One day, my uncle’s wife accused me of stealing her money and beads, but I told her I was not responsible for the missing items.” The victim, who claimed to be a native of Okpeka, in Edo State, explained that her pleas and denials fell on the deaf ears as , “she tied me to a table with a string and put my hands on the stove and threatened to set me ablaze. She later put my two hands on flame from the stove. I cried and cried as the fire was roasting my hands but she held me tight to the fire.” “When I thought the torture was over, she placed my hands again in the burning stove, this time, longer than the first time. As I was about giving up, someone knocked on the door, to set me free.” Chaba alleged that she was not taken to the hospital immediately till one of her aunties paid them a visit and raised alarm. The girl, who described herself as helpless person, appealed to Fashola to come to her aid and for the State Commissioner of police to wade into the matter, by arresting the culprit and bringing her to book. She said: “I need justice, please, that is what I want, give it to me.” Chaba’s mother, Franca Issac, told Daily Sun that immediately she received the sad news, she rushed to Lagos in November, 2008, and has since been staying in the hospital with her. She said: “My daughter has been living in peace with me in the village till two years ago, when my brother requested that she should travel with him to Lagos. I did not see anything wrong in my daughter living with his uncle.” Mrs Isaac said she was even shocked to discover that since two years her daughter had been living with them, she was not registered in any school. Investigations by Daily Sun showed that the victim was brought to the hospital on November, 10, 2008. A Medical Doctor, who spoke to Daily Sun on the condition of anonymity said: “One of her fingers was badly burnt. It has been amputated and a successful skin grafting surgery, which resulted in removing part of her flesh from the lap, to replace that on both hands, has been carried out.” http://odili.net/news/source/2009/jan/22/510.html |

i need something to base my calling for his head on and i also need something to base my commending him on. You should call for his head jare. If Fashola is interested in cleaning up lagos and getting rid of illegal activities, he should start from area boys because they constitute more nuisance that pontoon markets. Why don't he start from them?. He wouldn't because they helped force him into power. |
![]() |
Good job mr Fashola, get rid of this nuisance market all over LagosSomeday he will get rid of your own job too. That is if you have one. ![]() |
