African firms are in the spotlight: big and small more often small only they can deliver those goods and jobs. But they will only succeed if given the space to grow, innovate and conquer markets, starting with their own. Global warming is only one form, but the costs it alone inflicts on the future are horrendous. Economists develop their models on the assumption that the condition of the physical world is not important.

Supporters of growth argue that with this growth comes technological progress and that this generates the needed resources and means of keeping pollution within acceptable limits Therefore, rather than slow economic growth, we should do all we can to accelerate it.
