Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 8:21pm On May 13, 2009
@onDcrox,I did SRD March 17th.
Ofcourse,I'm very positive but I only wish I could hear from them soon. The wait has gotten too long.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 7:58pm On May 13, 2009
It seems they are now giving out the medical invites piece by piece unlike the bulk delivery we had on the first day when more than ten people reported receipt.Since yesterday,we've only had three(on this forum though).
With each day that passes,I begin to feel more alone. For example,in my group, there were 6 persons,3 had earlier gotten regret mails and 2 have gotten medical invite between last week & today. So,I seem to be the last man standing.
But I remain strongly positive and I'm strongly expecting to hear from them soon.
Where edoblakky now?Wetin dey happen for your side?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 10:23am On May 13, 2009
Congrats 2 nkenke & delko.I've just checked my box,no mail yet.I'll have 2 keep waiting, though its getting increasingly difficult.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 7:33pm On May 12, 2009
If they have scheduled medicals for everybody and people still waiting for contact are all successful, why wont they just send the mails informing everyone of his or her date? What is responsible for the delay?

@ delko,welcome to the forum.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 5:32pm On May 12, 2009
@onDcrox,I agree with u very well on dat last point. If one is successful, they should send d mail & one would be able to wait for as long as they want without been anxious.Speculations would also end.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 9:35am On May 12, 2009
Osina wata,Congrats man.Great way to start the day.God that did yours will do it for the rest of us still hoping.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 7:37am On May 12, 2009
@wumwum007,
Bros I dey o.Still hanging in there. This week makes it 2months since I did SRD.I think its a fair enough time for me to know whats up.
I pray response comes in today as expected.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 10:35pm On May 11, 2009
@boson,I share you and your friend's assessment of the situation.I also think the next batch of medical invite would be out tomorrow which would be very good.
@babake2020,thanks for poppingin and posting very reassuring words.
It is certainly well.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 7:37pm On May 11, 2009
My people, another day gone I guess?
I've been silently following developments on the thread all day but I decided not to be checking my inbox every minute because the wait and resultant anxiety has become sickening.

Edoblakky:

Can't these pple just send us all mails once make pple rest?
I completely agree with you on that point. The recruitment process is just unnecessarily long and this batch thing just causes undue speculation like we had today with nothing eventually happening. It would do a whole lot of good if they can contact someone on his position and get done with it!

Hoping something happens tomorrow.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 8:33pm On May 07, 2009
I just wanted to thank opensesame for his very kind words of encouragement. Its always good to hear from you.
Fortunately for me,I didnt check my mail throughout today until now.
I've read most of the lively & funny posts that have been made all dayand I couldn't help but appreciate it inspite of the anxiety the wait for Medical IV must be keeping some of us in.It acts as a great relief.

Keep it up,great guys.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 11:22am On May 06, 2009
Osina wata:

Oboy na waoh,,,,,,,I don check my box like 100 times this morning

You are not alone,bros!!!
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 11:20am On May 06, 2009
Thanks to all my people for your prompt responses to my post, but I believe you guys would understand what anxiety and speculations can cause.

I don cool down for Jesus sha, anyhow e be!
At least,I'll hear from them.I hope its soon enough, let me get done with this.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 9:02am On May 06, 2009
Opensesame, thanks so much for your prompt response to my post.It had a massively reassuring feel to it-as always. But another question:Was your status showing Final Assessment?

I'm still very hopeful and I pray the mail comes as soon as possible(today),cos I'm o anxious now esp since a lot of people have reported medical IV receipt.I know its in batches, but it has made it worse for me.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 7:54am On May 06, 2009
Congrats to all you guys who have gotten medical IV.
Please,I'm just curious. Can you please indicate your discipline and grade if possible?
I'm a geologist(2.2).Somebody was just telling me they take all these things into consideration hence my curiosity.

I would appreciate your responses.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 6:03pm On May 05, 2009
Big congrats to my people in the house who have gotten genuine medical invite.
Opensesame,I'm especially happy for you but I'm not in any way surprised.Going by your posts here,I knew you were definitely going to make it.

@Edoblakky,ofcourse we have seen the difference btw the purported medical IV and the real thing.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 12:39am On May 05, 2009
To all my hopefuls thats been doing a great job keeping this thread alive,I just want to say big ups to y'all.
Keep it up.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 12:37am On May 05, 2009
And so it turned out that the first day of the medical invite-expecting week passed out with no major occurrence.

Well, welcome to another new day.We hope the main thing comes out soon enough. Some of us are hell sick of waiting!
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 10:17pm On May 02, 2009
opensesame:

Okay, this post is a special dedication to EasyT. Sorry to disappoint you, bro.

I'm glad I'm disappointed in this regard. Its always good to see your posts.
We are doing good here.Dont worry, when the medicals start flying,we are sure going to celebrate it a lot cos I know a lot of us here are in.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 7:38pm On May 02, 2009
In any case,I think they said they were not carrying out the exercise on a ranking basis but on whether or not one meets pre-determined criteria.
I also think the speculation that a lot of unsuccessful mails were despatched btw tuesday and friday last week is beginning to have a tinge of truth in it,because I've heard of a lot of people who got such mails last week. This also further undermines the credibility of girlrachy and pradok's purported medical IV.

So,I guess we keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 7:32pm On May 02, 2009
onDcrox:

Curiosity,an average of 168 persons were invited for srd (16th march to 24th April, going by 6 persons every day)

U did not take into consideration that SRD was done simultaneously in 3 centres. If you do that, the number of people that did SRD is well over 168. Besides some groups had up to 8 or 9 persons as somebody had rightly said. For instance a friend of mine who did his SRD in Warri on 3rd April had 8 people in his group of which 4 have been sent unsuccessful mail.I did mine in Lagos in March. There were 6 people in my group,3 of which have been sent unsuccessful mail.

I guess we cant really know the number of people that did SRD but I'll hazard a guess at +/-400.
Science/Technology / Share Your Meebo Experiences. by EasyT: 10:05am On May 02, 2009
I just discovered the meebo.com site and I so love it.Allowing one to log into yahoo, msn, aim in one portal, chat and send files even when the conventional messengers wont work due to slow network.I think its just great.

I would appreciate you guys sharing your experiences here as well as suggestions as to how I can further utilize the site and derive maximum benefits.
Romance / Re: Quiet Vs Loud Guys by EasyT: 9:55am On May 02, 2009
I think its not about being loud or quiet as that has a lot to do with different personality types.Come on,we are all different.

Its about having the sense to talk when you should and shut up(&listen) when you should.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 9:49am On May 02, 2009
Hey guys,

Events / Re: Can One Have A Small Wedding In Nigeria? by EasyT: 9:41am On May 02, 2009
yeah, its very possible to have a small wedding in Naija.Depends on the couples involved.
And I think the whole large wedding concept aside being influenced by our extended family culture in africa is also influenced by a lot of persons wanting to meet up to societal 'standards' .
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 10:38pm On May 01, 2009
nkenke,we cannot abandon this thread now.Its the main thing for now.As a matter of fact,I seem to be getting addicted to it.During the day,I access it on my phone and when I get home, its the first site I open even before checking my mails.

U should have seen the speed with which I rushed to check my inbox when girlrachy posted that she had been invited for medicals!
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 7:22pm On May 01, 2009
It seems a lot of us has finally discovered the main action spot.I'm saying this because the Shell hopeful thread on naijahotjob has largely been abandoned.

Good to see nkenke, pepperyboy and ifnobgod here.I'm also one of u guys here but with a different ID.

It would be very good to have the medical letters flying all about next week.It will hit us.No shaking.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 10:54am On May 01, 2009
nkenke, make u take am easy ok.The good news would come this next week beginning May 4th.
Thats my belief.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 3:13am On May 01, 2009
nkenke:

@Easyt, sorry abt the intrusion, actually that was one of the questions i asked on my SRD day n was
told by june. Thats the source,

It certainly was not an intrusion.Just needed more details because I believe whatever we post on this site should be as clear as possible and devoid of speculations.
U did very well by clarifying what you said and promptly too.

Its all good.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 1:07am On May 01, 2009
nkenke:

Hey guys,  SRD starts in June.

I'm sure this is the same nkenke in naijahotjobs.
How do u just post an information like this without a little bit more details e.g your source even if its a speculation.
The way u posted it as if its a fact is kinda somehow.
