lf an ex-millitary dictator can win a presidential election then an ex-millitant can win state house of assembly election.

Best ever reply.

I just wanted to say kudos to all u guyz who has kept this page alive for a while.

Just thought I should post something to 'frontpage' the thread(at least for today).

I am quite happy because I know this whole long wait would be over soon esp for the 2009 hopefuls of which I am chief. We would get to see some finality on our shell dream soon.It would be a positive outcome.

All the best.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 11:55am On Apr 09, 2010
pepperyboy and wumwum.Got the same mail yesterday that my application is still on hold.I guess there will be a positive outcome soon. The speculation about 30 people being needed for this current recruitment exercise only ads some credence to the rumours.remember somebody had earlier posted last year that thay had about 50 persons on the waiting list.

Lets keep the hope alive,it will happen this year!
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 9:59am On Apr 07, 2010
pepperyboy:

spoke with ma SRD cordinator today and i was told although not in clear terms that we should b patient. so guys there is light at the end of the tunnel for shell hopefuls. it seems that we are been considered for the last SITP batch along side others that are going thru the recruitment process now. let keep the dream alive!!

Peperyboy,I got a similar hopeful info from a friend but u know it all remains unconfirmed. The good news is that our accounts from last year are still active i.e its not been closed.I checked mine and its still showing final assessment. Hopefully,we'll get a positive news this year.

For those that are being shortlisted now,its going to be SRD straight like it was with commercial graduates last year.No aptitude tests. Its likely going to be later in the month and early May.Goodluck.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Have Been Invited For Shell Job Interview by EasyT: 1:29pm On Apr 01, 2010
pboy,d old shell hopeful thread is still alive and kicking.I posted there yesterday just to wake it up.
tjcrown, there's been a lot of postings about an ongoing recruitment in Shell. If you do go to the careers page and try to apply, you will see the 2yrs caveat.I'm not just sure if it directly affects those on the SITP waiting list of last year.

Hopefully, pboy, wumwum & Cheksa can throw more light on it.Pboy, did u eventually call your coordinator?what's d latest?

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Have Been Invited For Shell Job Interview by EasyT: 10:21am On Mar 31, 2010
Ma people,Wumwum, pepperyboy, its gud to see u guys still keep up with the shell hope. We've got to keep it alive.I believe something will happen this year.
As regards the ongoing advert,it states that people who have attended shell tests/srd in the last 2yrs should not apply.I guess that affects hopefuls of last june. What do u guys think?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 3:26pm On Nov 04, 2009
Hello guys.Good to see the thread still kicking.
I want to say a massive congratulations to 10qGod.It just confirms that God's plan for our lives is definitely the best-always!
@wumwum,good to see you still hanging in there.I believe in your positivity that all this will end well.

Wow,very big congratulations to edoblakky. Its about time.

Good one.

Pepperyboy, that guy had not done his medical. And I believe u should be positive, try to get realy busy with something else.If they eventually call u,fine. If not,all well & good.Life goes on.Stay cool.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 5:57pm On Jun 11, 2009
Much as the mails received 2day may seem like a convenient way to usher d med hopefuls out thru d back door(ie conveniently allowing the time to elapse),I believe we ought to remain hopeful & positive and give Shell the benefit of the doubt.I believe they are credible enough to believe. If they say they'll consider a suitable graduate position for SRD successfuls, then they will.In anycase, its no longer in one's hands. At least they said we were successful in SRD,which is d best one can do.Lets believe God who brought us thus far will see us to a good & expected end.@offer letter hopefuls,I believe most of u guys will meet ur UPS package waitin for you at home.Cheers.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 2:09pm On Jun 11, 2009
@babake2020,I guess it means I wont be in SITP but they are considering me for another 'suitable' graduate position. @opensesame,u are quite right about ur comment, but I guess its all good.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 1:25pm On Jun 11, 2009
Just got a mail from Shell.Summary:I was successful in SRD.Would be considered for a graduate position within d shell group, within 12months from SRD date.

Goodmorning people.I've been silently following our beloved but didnt have any inside info or speculative gist hence my inability to post. Its rather disheartening though, that the expected contact on the med IV hopefuls status is still taking so long esp with cheksa saying it could still get to next week. Its very good news though that med IVs have been issued out btw last week & now.I just want to know if they were all for non-technical positions as posted by aguyemd & osina wata or some are still for technical positions.I guess for us med hopefuls,we keep waiting & hopinp we hear from them soon.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 11:50am On Jun 01, 2009
Greetings to everyone.Cheksa, thanks for calling Ben & promptly updating the house. As regards the northern issue, personally,I'm hell sick of the speculation.I would be realy pleased if they do send d mail soon as stated by cheksa, whatever the content,at least one would get to know where one stands.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 5:55pm On May 29, 2009
Jisola,I dey fine o.Its been a very quiet day on the thread.I guess its because of the long weekend & nobody's got any new gist.Hope we get some activity next week.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 6:02pm On May 27, 2009
My people.I've been away for a while 'cos I didnt have internet access but I've been following developments with my phone.Just couldn't post.Just want to appreciate the support, solidarity, prayers & encouragement thats been shared on this thread.I believe we'll start getting news of offer letters next week.Hopefully,it will be spiced with some med IVs.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 10:41am On May 22, 2009
The truth is if they've contacted one even if unsuccessful, one can take it in one's stride & move on.But as long as one does not hear from them and there is still a glimmer of hope,it has a distractive effect & its difficult to just take the mind off it.Wumwum, yes there are still believers in here who while been mentally prepared for the worst are still hoping for the best.As long as we're still being considered, then there's still a 50-50 chance, which is what you always get in life anyway. Its all good.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 9:33am On May 21, 2009
Pepperyboy, whats the content of the mail you received this morning?Pls,give details.Edoblakky,I completely agree with you.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 10:53am On May 20, 2009
The level the situation has dipped to is just too bad.I've always said they should send mails on one's status whether good or bad.Why allow it to degenerate to this level where people have to call/mail SRD co-ordinator/inviter to get word on where they stand?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 9:34am On May 20, 2009
Edoblakky,we prayerfully hope the situation you described that occurred last year does not repeat itself.Lets keep the hope alive for today though its getting desperate.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 9:42pm On May 19, 2009
Nkenke, thanks for your very correct and encouraging info.U too much.We just pray they communicate with us hopefuls asap- at least to relieve the unnecessarily long tension.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 6:36pm On May 19, 2009
Cheksa,u were asking for the latest when you are actually the one with the latest info. But I need to get ceratin things straight:WHO told your friend to mail the person that sent him SRD invitation? And you said your SRD co-ordinator asked you to do the same?Did you ask why?
It would be good to get some answers to these questions.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 4:10pm On May 19, 2009
My people,I'm still here o.No info yet.Godeagle,I wasn't silenced by d wait.Just haven't had internet access. @wumwum,its good 2 see we have some man u fans in da house. Its all good sha,all d med IV hopefuls. We'll get there.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 9:38am On May 15, 2009

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 6:09pm On May 14, 2009
Ok,opensesame.I see. Thanks for your response.Thats why you're the ''boss'' here.U know I'm not the first person to call you that hence the quote.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 5:15pm On May 14, 2009
judeoyas,I now see where u are coming from but I didnt mean it that way.I also think they're done with regret mails and hopefully next week, one should hear from them.

@opensesame,why do they usually ask you to come back after the first day's medical,Is it that they are not able to conclude the tests in one day or there is something else?My friend was also asked to come backt the next day.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by EasyT: 1:00pm On May 14, 2009
@judeoyas,yea I'm geologist but I dont agree with ur assertion because I know a geologist who has got his letter.I also used 2 assume nkenke is a geologist. Are u one, jude?
