Properties / Re: Fact Check On A Nairalander Turned CEO Of Trending Furniture Manufacturing Coy by Eben2: 5:43pm On Jun 17, 2019
LCling:

Some five (5) years ago, notably in 2014, most Nairalanders must have been familiar with the account “lebanoncedars2”, a Nairalander who writes about furniture and joineries especially very actively in properties and business section.
Some of his popular posts on kitchen cabinets and doors are still viral contents and drawing attentions to his design and work
Fact check between 2015-2019 shows that this name Lebanon Cedars has turned into successful Enterprise, with company estimated average annual revenue of over 50million naira, and cooperate partners and clients ranging from Eco-Bank, Fidelity Bank, Keystone Bank, Lafarge Ready Mix Nig Ltd, Save The Children International and notable individuals and S.M.Es.
A fact background checks showed his real names as Farotika Tope Ebenezer, born in 1978 into the family of Mr. & Mrs. Farotika from Ijare, Ondo state. He had his primary education at St. Davids Primary School, Ijare and his secondary schools at both Anglican Grammar School, Ijare and Festac Grammar School, Lagos respectively. He proceeded to Federal Polytechnics Ado-Ekiti for his Diploma Study in Banking and Finance in 2003. He later furthered his studies at University of Lagos with B.Sc (Hons) in Accounting in 2010 and just recently M.Sc in Management from University of Lagos.
He started his career in banking industry where he work in the human resources department for six (6) years before the inspiration for Lebanon Cedars was birthed. He loves wood and woodworking with an unequalled passion and is totally committed to seeing furniture work in Nigeria being recognized and respected globally.

When asked why he moved into furniture industry from his thriving banking career; he cited gentle but firm divine direction (a story for another day). His resignation was a rude shock to everyone around him, especially his colleagues who see him as someone with great prospects in his banking career.
After his resignation, Mr. Farotika decided to learn the ropes. He opted to attend furniture school but efforts to locate one in Nigeria did not yield any fruits. He therefore decided join the membership of the American Woodworking Association Magazine, bought books on furniture production and management where he learnt a lot of techniques needed to bring life, smoothness, and beautiful designs into any piece of wood from renowned wood workers and authors like John Bullar and Roy Underhill.
In the process, he started assembling resources for a mini factory. Both machine, material and human resources were invested in.
The beginning was tough but his doggedness, integrity, innovation and Gods favour paved ways for him. He also mentioned Nairaland as a forum through which the business began its growth before companies began to demand for Lebanon Cedars office furniture.

When asked about the secrets of Lebanon Cedars success. Mr. Farotika responded that the major secret lies with Gods involvement. He however said that integrity is one of the major ingredients helping the company. He mentioned that most of his individual clients have never had physical, one on one contact with him because many of them live abroad. Contacts are made via mail and phones, sites are checked, quote given, projects are funded and delivery is made as at when due. We have never recorded any form of disappointment from clients rather; referrals and praises from our clients have greatly promoted the business. He also said that the company is guided by sets of value namely:

Integrity
Innovation
Customer Orientation
Responsiveness and
Passion
These values have help to shape the way Lebanon Cedars does business.

Truthfully a journey of a thousand miles needs a first step, no doubt, there is a different between I am belle full’ and Im satisfied; being alive and living a fulfilled life.
I am searching more fact and expecting more positive stories from nairalanders so let us all join to celebrate and uplift one of our own because you could be just be next to be heard of with shout of thanksgiving to GOD

Wow!

Promises upon promises that will not be fulfilled. Why were they not paid by APC before? Anything to keep us in Tinubu's bondage. We shall be liberated.

I saw the light when I listened to Lagos governorship candidates debate. Babatunde (BOG) knows our challenges in Lagos and solutions to them far better than those that have been in the corridors of power for a long time.

Support BOG, support Lagos!

Anyone that mean well for Lagos will vote for this man. He's never been in government, yet, he knows Lagos challenges like the palms of his hands and solutions to them. I didn't know him prior to the debate, but since that awesome performance of his, I have been following up with his campaigns very closely.

He's got my vote and that of my family and if you love Lagos, please vote for him.

I wish he started his campaigns earlier than this though

You Have written a wonderful article on Travel Tip For Dubai. I had also recently visited Dubai with my hubby for our wedding anniversary and we had a good time celebrating our anniversary on dhow cruise . It is one of the most loveable memories of our entire tour of Dubai .
One Must Try a Dhow Cruise Dinner on our trip to Dubai .We had booked our dhow cruise dinner through this website :http://www.dhowcruiseindubai.com/

How did you arrange your trip? Did you use travel agent or you went on your own?

I hope we can all learn from this. Our problem majorly in this part of the world is greed. We "work" hard or steal hard, get small money and want to flex. Nobody want to invest on a long term project.

So many youths with great potentials but our orientation about money kills these potentials. Hope we'll snap out of it someday angry

It's gonna be much worse with the banning of truck pushers. Why can't the government work hand in hand with them. People are gonna dump their refuse on the roads and inside gutters.

My take is, if VisionScape cannot perform the job, let's go back to status quo cool

Thanks everyone

Our people just needs orientation...Pay for refuse trucks to come pick up your refuse, they won't....The way people litter d streets and drainage without blinking an eye baffles me.

Just like we have it now in Abeokuta, the newly constructed drainages are now bn turned into refuse sites...later they will be telling the govt to come to their aides after erosion carries their properties away.

I am not sure LAWMA is still functioning in Lagos.

All due to the activities of Truck pushers who were recently barred from operating in the state ... Lets give cleaner Lagos initiative a chance to succeed because I can see their vision will only bring about a cleaner Lagos

Sir, I can assure you that this is not the handy work of truck pushers. No one has ever dumped anything on that spot or any of the "new dumping sites" on Kajola Road until the so-called VisionScape dropped their little dustbins

Kindly inform them to come pack these junks and remove their dustbin from the place, we don't want it.

I am really worried at the rate at which streets in Lagos are fast becoming refuse dumps. The health hazards this post to the people is enormous and I think Lagos state government should do something about it quickly.

The pictures below was taken from Kajola Road, Jojo bus stop in Obawole, Iju-Ishaga LGA, Lagos. Some people came and dropped a dustbin (the one at the middle) on the street, left and never came back for it. Within 3 days, the whole place was littered with junks generating terrible odour. For over a week now, it's been there unattended to. More annoying is the fact that the refuse were dumped at the entrance of a building.

This is not the only spot on Kajola Road, there are about 4 other spots on the same road. Someone should please come to our aid.
