JUST IN: IG MEETS WITH BUHARI TODAY. The new acting inspector general of police Mr. I.K Idris is currently in a meeting with the president at the Aso Rock villa this afternoon. Mr Idris who is the assistant inspector general of police arrived aso rock in the company of the outgoing IG, is well qualified to attain the position of IG permanently. But the president has made any official statement of his appointment. AIG Ibrahim Kpotum Idris, who hails from Niger State (North-Central) is also qualified for the position should the presidency decides to retire all DIGs .Idris holds an LLB (Honours) in Law from the University of Maiduguri, and was enlisted into to the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP in 1984 and he rapidly rose through the ranks.
