What was its sin?
Driving to Calabar fully loaded with goods and passengers on top shocks I changed recently o! cry
That road is bad. very bad, Itu to Calabar - Calabar to Odukpani (8 miles), it will take some luck for your car's bumper or shocks (Sedan or SUV) to survive 2 months if you ply that road daily.

With the level of immaturity on display here, digging up irrelevant details, old posts, archiving and screen shotting members contribution for future references, diatribes and unending feuds, I wonder how you all became millionaires.
Does the Nigeria economic system reward stupidity or professionalism?

Please if this is a pastime, no one should hold me to my misgivings henceforth as I will be basking in the unending negligence of commonsense.

Calm down. Two fighting is over grin grin grin

The one I did in response is the one I'm talking about and I'm not proud of it.

Not thought out enough or it won't have been posted at all. I should have simply posted this thread. It's not my modus operandi and won't happen again.

For me, it's oil-tober you are waiting for if this stupid container clears in time.

It's all good. At least let bygones be what they are... Bygones!

Oh no! I have to disagree with you on that. That's not my philosophy at all. I don't do attacks ads. If you go back and look, I never start these things. I just end them.

My philosophy with all my companies is just try to do a good job and let referrals speak for themselves. When you do that people start to think you are on equal footing even when that is very false. I forgot that this week.

You both do attack ads, it's a direct means to an end. Irrespective of how it starts, you're both intelligent - so the ads are very subtle and undiscerning to someone who looks at them at face value.

Saw and read his and your earlier responses. Both were well thought out, they weren't random.

I don't want to quote and unquote instances. Incase you and Gazzu.zz decide I'm not eligible for free parts by December.

My oil 4.7 * 2 qtz of 5w30 dey una hands this December

If you are observant, it's one moniker that is resurrecting old Benz threads just to spite another moniker that goes about bad mouthing Benz.

the best solution is to disband alternate monikers cause they do more harm than good jeez.

People dey archive threads left, right and centre - una dey discuss child naming ceremony grin grin

Sense will not ke you grin

The selling concept philosophy you and Gazzuzz employ in sales is something I rarely come across.

To some people, it's arrogance and mud slinging (but that in itself is business), the playing field is never even, will never and can never be.

Survival of the fittest it is, anybody who can't see past this facade doesn't understand how group dynamics work with regards to sales, my first gig was in advertising firm - we fought dirty as long as it was legal, no moral compass of any kind.

Seeing this play out on NL brings nostalgia, abeg if una need person where fit help - my services are professional and references available upon request. grin

I’m quite sure the danfo bus drivers would pick automatic gear transmission over manual if given to them on a plater of gold

Most of them use the manual cos they can’t afford newer/auto models for their business... I drove manual when I started driving and once I drove auto... ghen ghen no going back to that shît

Manual tranny's are overrated. Apart from cost of maintenance, there is no discernible difference in performance these days. People go just dey get muscle pull and cramps anyhow for traffic.

Baba Smartchoiice I no wan quote you for the other thread - just breath in, out. And let everything go. Your knowledge on cars is what you ought to share more (I'm not trying to patronise you but I know it's vast), abeg let bygones be bygones.

Jesus christ! This is so sad but this case is a little different from urs, almost similar sha. This guy didn't die, he even came out unhurt.

His family wants to fix the car. Can dt Benz be properly fixed without issues.

With the kind of extensive damage you mentioned to even the car's structure? Impossicant

Ur car nko, would u rather they fix it or u press for a new one and dash his family the accidented one?

Bumper, lights, fenders, bonnet, airbags, fan, condenser, radiator don scatter. Chassis sef got affected, no glass broke, engine wasn't affected too. Dashboard is safe too. Tyres, suspension parts got damaged.

Mehn, happened to us four or is it five years ago. Mechanic wasn't in a good condition to even speak, chap was badly injured and almost paralysed from the waist down. Old boy contributed some money for his hospital bill. The police seized the crosstour, we paid 30k to bail the car and sold it for scraps.
Car was less than 2 years old. It was a sad week, but like they say we move

P. S he picked the car to change a noisy bearing, 3 hours later after he has stopped for a couple beers - we recieved a phone call from a stern voice inviting us to the station, that he had gone under a parked trailer

There's no problem bro, she's free-spirited and used to banter on this street. And besides you have a right to air your views without fear or favor on here. Even in the U.S, parts are relative cheap but labor isn't. Its a universal thing, so do get that w204 c300 and she just might give you cheaper rates.

Me saying you could use 10 hours to fix a 30minutes job is merely an assumption because we know Nigerians like to manipulate situations, I’m a Nigerian but I’ll say Nigerians are to be feared, me inclusive, however there was no misunderstandings wen I visited ur shop, I was quite surprised to be charged over 900k for fixes and part, then I thought to my self the car is just 2.9m - 3.5m for toks and I drove the car with only a noise from my steering from mainland to ur shop, d noise was caused by a mec putting a bigger ac compressor in the car than car’s specific compressor size, as I see the bill, I jejely run ohh, I’ve not mentioned any of such on this forum at all and I don’t intend to soil ur name or biz, I’ll probably delete this post cos I no want trouble or spoil anybody market

Sha I dey acquire new whip soon, Incase I need any parts/servicing I MIGHT contact u and if ur price seems exorbitant I go still run again but I no go drive com ur shop cos I no like to embarrass myself con look like poor man, I no be dangote, but there’s good food on my table

Lol

Also note that the bigger compressor was fixed by a Nairaland professional too, the Nairaland guy try but probably did more harm than good to my car, I no trust anybody again, all man dey claim professional till it gets to the “work the work” part

Brotherly, you don drag her establishment this early momo, follow drag the person wer put 5 HP compressor for your 1.8 litre engine. grin grin

It is going to be very easy indeed, I don't think there will be a lot to look at in the first place

Took my car to rada once, they gave me quote, I ran, the quote was almost half the price of my full car and they weren’t fixing much ohh

So if it’s 5k per hour basis, they cld decide to fix a car for 10 hours instead of the 30minutes it would normally take to do the fix? Thereby charging you madly

I doubt I wld be visiting them in the near future

I tried very hard not to laugh while typing this. I understand you perfectly bro. Anyway, there are rates for specific jobs. An oil change will usually be an 1 hour, brake pads or caliper servicing might be 2 hours (could take the mecho more than that but that's the standard time), there are a lot of jobs that could work in your favour with regards to pricing.
Remember you're paying for expertise and experience (the person fixing your car can make it look so easy, you forget that it took him/her years to perfect his/her craft.
