THIS particular gospel singer (if she truly is one) is sick and will obviously do anything for attention (because now more nairalanders know Gloria Doyle!).

But i dont think it's ok to label all gospel singers the same way.

same thing goes for those with non-original music; lots of nigerian artistes, old and new, sing meaningful original songs that glorify God and affect this generation positively. e.g.

I'm starting this thread to find out just how many nairalanders have had there hopes raised and frustratingly dashed by NIIT and their very sub-standard quality of education.

Now don't get me wrong, i give kudos to the institute for the opportunities they have given to countless Nigerians.
But recently, or as recently as i signed up for an Oracle 10g course, the quality of the lessons/lectures delivered have been, to put it nicely, less than expected.

Reasons why they suck to me:
1. how come i have to pay so much for a course, over 140k even after taking and doing well in a supposed scholarship test? it amounts to nothing more than a shameless marketing strategy. what i'm supposed to believe that you are doing me a favour by upping your fees to 350k so that you can waive 210k from it and have me pay 140k?

2. even after paying this amount, with the promise of making a fortune from working as a professional, i don't even get the required software free! the faculty dude just burns copies from his system and sells it to us students for 2k! that is just sick and unfair if you ask me.

3. how come i sign up with the supposed big players in computer technology education, and i don't get as much as a student id card talkless of online access to tutorials and student forums? makes me feel like i'm just being ripped off!

as a disclaimer, i will state that this has just been my experience with NIIT (ikeja centre) and might not represent anyone else's, but i believe that NIIT sucks!

won't stop me from becoming a professional and making a fortune though! lol

i just heard this track 'mo feran re' by wave on reverbnation and i've been freaking out since!
this guy apparently did the whole song in a crazy-high pitched falseto! i'm still doubting his proclaimed gender self.

does anybody know who this wave person is? i'd really love to have any info whatsoever.

think he's one to watch.
