Muhammadu Buhari Legacy In Igboland.1. Dr. Alex Ekwueme - Buhari the coupist overthrew the government of Alhaji Shehu Shagari citing corruption as the reason. Surprisingly, Buhari threw Ekwueme - the then VPinto Kirikiri maximum prison but left Shagari in his palace. If Buhari truly overthrew that government because of corruption, Shagari was supposed to be jailed too.To make matter worse, Ekwueme was tried under military tribunal and he was not found wanting.Buhari ordered for him to be retried and nothing was found.Buhari ordered for the third time, the trying judge declared that Ekwueme was richer before he joined government than now. That is not the end, all these while Ekeueme - a common VP was been tried, while Shagari - the president was left alone in his palace. Buhari never asked him any question regarding corruption not to talk of trying him under military tribunal. Why? Because Shagari is a Fulani like Buhari and deserves sympathy and protection, but Ekwueme is Igbo and deserves to die even when he never committed any crime. Buhari is a FRAUD!2. Dr. Sam Mbakwe - He was the best governor in the history of Igboland. His achievements are still there till today for all to see and no governor after him, has come close in terms of developing Igboland. Buhari jailed him for100 years. He didn't commit any crime...his only crime was that he concentrated in developing his region and for that Buhari jailed him.3. Chief Jim Nwobodo -He was jailed by Buhari for 75 years for committing no crime. No court convicted him, no evidence till today has shown the crime he committed, but Buhari - the coupist jailed him for 75 years!4. Dim Emeka Ojukwu - He returned to Nigeria with great fanfare as the Peoples general during Shaagari's regime. When Buhari took over via coup, he arrested and detained him for 8 months for being more popular than him. He didn't commit any crime and nothing has shown why Buhari arrested and detained him for 8 months!Pls, if you know of any other Buhari's legacy in Igoland, do call my attention to it.In the absence of that, any Igbo that wastes his vote on Buhari is urinating on the heads of these GREAT IGBO HEROES. Such person would be considered as a first class EFULEFUL - a born throwaway!.Buhari is parochial, highly bigoted, incompetent, weak on policy, economics and administration; is anti-democratic,anti-freedom and openness, and does not have the intellectual ability to manage today's Nigeria. His yesterday's record is an archive of dismal failures:Economic failure, civil liberties failure, religious freedom failure, media freedom failure, anti corruption failure, infrastructure failure, productivity failure, Healthcare delivery failure, and failure of Buhari as a leader, which was why it was easy for his men to initiate a coup against his illegal government back in the days and to crown it all, he cannot find his certificate - his personal property!.How can such a man manage Nigeria in this Digital Age?.Buhari as president is like a blind man leading those with eyes! # BuhariShowYourCertificate —

Nairaland / General / Why We Prefer The ‘semi-illiterate Jackboot’ To Thephd Crook by edy4u: 12:32am On Jan 06, 2015
Schools attempt to give an education but they
do not give wisdom, intelligence, integrity,
compassion or any of the other most
important qualities of a human being and a
leader. An education really does not proffer
much, unfortunately and gives even less these
days; perhaps this is why drop-outs like, Bill
Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg and
Harrison Ford are well known to us.
And then when schools and degrees are
honestly reviewed, there is the “attempt”
aspect. How many of our schools actually do
give an education? Passing exam is not
education. As a teacher, I know precisely what
I am saying. Our students either know “iwe,”
which means, know the study material, or
know their “way,” both pronounced the same
in Yoruba. When we look at Nigeria’s President
and the First lady who has been employed as a
Permanent Secretary in Bayelsa, a B.Ed holder
in Biology and Psychology from the University
of Port Harcourt, you can only say,
#DiaRisGodo!
Perhaps Nigeria now more than ever actually
needs a Jackboot (military disciplined) proud
“semi-illiterate” “with no shoes” who comes
from a position of under-privilege; who can
relate and understand the plight and needs of
the majority semi-literate, illiterate,
miseducated, maleducated and wastefully-
educated populace. We need someone who
understands “challenge.” What we thought we
were going to get in Jonathan who lied that he
had no shoes (new childhood images showed
him quite affluent, riding a toy horse in fancy
shoes).
If the intellectual spectrum a PhD degree
confers, produces the type of leadership which
struggles to reproach us that “corruption is
not stealing,” then Lord give us a “semi-
illiterate” who sees only black and white and
understands that simple indiscipline is
corruption, and ordinary corruption is stealing
and that this stealing is killing.
You see what it all boils down to is the
decision making and the type of advisers a
leader surrounds him or herself with. Can the
President make the right call? Nigeria’s current
President, Goodluck Jonathan has complained
that his problem is he receives “contradictory
advice.” So for instance, when his several
advisers give him the following options to
choose from in handling the insurgency
destroying Nigeria:
(a) Give an amnesty reward to Boko Haram
terrorists
(b) Support and equip the Civilian-JTF to
defend their communities
(c) Arrest the sponsors of terror
(d) Stop the Army chiefs (and yourself) from
looting all the funds for equipping the army
(e) Recruit troops, volunteers and purchase
modern equipment to seal the borders
(f) b to e
He simply goes with the first option that
strikes his fancy. (a) in this case.
It must be clearly stated and noted that not
only does President Buhari have a school
certification, the minimum requirement for
competing for the Presidency, but also he has
several other certificates from courses abroad
that are “equivalent” as the electoral
regulations stipulates. As a General and
approved three prior times by the commission,
he is automatically beyond qualified; however
we are more interested in his underprivileged
side. Indeed these particular skills—being one
who has had to deal with the challenges faced
by many of us, make him even sexier for the
office.
Today we realize it is not about East or West,
North or South; not about Agbada or bowler
cap. It is not about Yoruba or Hausa, Igbo or
Igala. It is not about Muslim or Christian as
#FatherMbaka said. It is not about PhD or
illiteracy. It is about character and the
wherewithal. It is about discipline and
integrity. It is about objective, preoccupation
and purpose. This race is about having the
right skill set, the capacity, inclination and
ability to do the job— to rescue a nation
blessed with promise, tumbling down into
debt, destruction, decay and death.
Give us our semi-illiterate Jackboot and clear
that place of the “PhD” holding elite
nincompoop!

I was in shock when I went to the filling station in Omaha, Nebraska USA yesterday and noticed that the price of fuel has actually dropped by 50% in last 6 months when I finished topping the gas.

This consistent drop in price is in
direct relation to dropping oil prices
worldwide. And all over the world,
price of fule has dropped for all citizens, even in Russia!

SO THE QUESTION FOR OUR PRESIDENT IN NIGERIA

How come our Petrol prices have NOT dropped a dime though price
of oil keeps dropping everywhere all over the world?

Instead the so-called smart politicians are actually talking about INCREASING price of fuel?

Exactly what kind of ECONOMY are we running in NIgeria that does NOT
respond to supply and demand? Is it CAPITLISM?; SOCIALISM? CABALISM?
KLEPTOKISM? or GOODLUCKISM?

Please DONT tell me we import fuel
from abroad is the reason. The PRICE WE BUY IT FROM WHEREVER WE BUY IT FROM HAS DROPPED BY ALMOST 50% SINCE JUNE LAST YEAR and yet we still pay the same?

Politics / Re: We Are Not With Buhari’s Original Copies Of Certificates — Army by edy4u: 12:13am On Jan 03, 2015
wunmi590:
Few days after the former Head of State and Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, retd, explained in an affidavit submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that all his academic credentials were with the Military Board, the Army have stated that they do not keep the certificates of any serving or retired officer or soldier.
General Buhari is contesting the presidential election for the fourth time under different political parties including the defunct All Nigeria People’s Party, ANPP and the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, but the issue of his qualifications had never been controversial until the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, recently described him as a ‘’semi- illiterate.’’
However, against the backdrop of Buhari’s affidavit in court, a military source said ‘’that the Army can not keep anybody’s original certificate because it is the personal property of the owner,’’ adding that such original certificates were only needed at the point of entry into the service.
According to the source, the Military only kept photocopies of credentials of officers and soldiers in their personal files that were in the military secretary’s office.
“The original certificate of any officer or soldier is only needed at the point of entry into the service either as a cadet officer entering the Nigerian Defence Academy, or the recruitment officers when interviewing recruits to be sent to the depot for training. That is so, because they are needed to verify what were in the photocopies supplied by them or from the necessary examining bodies.”
The source further stated that anybody claiming that his original certificates were with the Military Secretary (Army), had ‘’ulterior motive(s) or something he or she cannot explain.’’
He further added, “Let me tell you now, in the Navy, the Navy Secretary, NAVSEC, keep the documents of all Naval officers and ratings and not their original certificates which are their personal property.

without birth, no decision could be made at all by him so logically....

No disputing that though... But the question about what we choose to do or not should not be decided by what we feel. Our Lord was very clear on what he asked us to do, that is what we should do. Being a Christian means we are following Christmas not so custom.
1 jn 5:3 says... That if we claim to love God, then we must obey his commandment.

If jesus wanted you to celebrate his birth,he could have done so and asked you to because such celebrations was done even then.
Religion / Re: The Birth Of Christ Is More Important Than His Resurrection? by edy4u: 12:05am On Dec 25, 2014
But God's word the Bible pays more attention to his works and death than his resurrection. And the christ himself laid more emphasis on his resurrection than his birth... He even commanded his true followers to celebrate his death.

What do you think... Should our personal feelings and desire be more important that obeying God's Word? Should our society and the immoral world we live in decide how we think or should we allow God's Word to guide our everyday life?

Do not forget... God's word says we should not go beyond the things that are written 1 Co 4:16. And more importantly, God's Word says obedience is better than sacrifice 1 Samuel 15:22
