I spoke to an embassy staff today - sadly I must say that there is really no good news for most under Category B. It's better to spend the energy going to other countries. That is not to say that there are no Cat B getting ADs. Nonetheless, when you imagine the numbers getting to the numbers applying, a priori, you wonder what hope there is.

Even if you have paid '000s in fees it does not matter to them.

I would advise a graduate with no more than 5 years of experience to try schools in Austria or Belgium.

This is frustrating and sad - but it is what it is.

[b]holding a bachelor's degree with a grade of 1. Class ONLY issued AFTER January 1st, 2018 and being accepted for a master's degree (also a DSH course-related admission to the master's program) or PhD study in Germany or

The above explains why people with first-class are getting the AD....... the german grade of 1 translates to our first-class - So any first-class from 2018 is regarded as Category A.

Yesterday as I went to submit my documents as requested in AM I saw people that came for interview... so yes schorlaships and first class students get dates...

If you applied to a private school where school fees applies please let me know...

Note: only those with admission in school fee applicable schools only please...

I have admission into a school, where I have even made school fees payment and started online.

Yes all my guys with first class and within 2018 to 2020, all got date this December, some booked November and December, I know four. one has his interview today.

1. How did they know your guys graduated with a first glass, there is nowhere on the appointment booking you can tell that. My best guess is, your guys got a scholarship and called the embassy.

I have a question.
Since scholarship way seems the best, what if someone has
a fully funded blocked account,
Admission letter,
International passport,
What is the possibility of getting AD?

Isn't a fully funded BA equivalent to scholarship?

Anyone with idea, please help.

I already paid my school fees - 60% of my fees already - I have a blocked account and still no date yet..... Its a really hard place for any category B student.

So I got admitted into the Mannheim School of Business for a Part-time MBA. My in-class modules happen only 1 week, every 2 months. WIthout Corona, I had intended to travel to German from Nigeria from time to time, as I have a job. With Corona and all the madness that came with it, that will not be possible, hence I decided, migrating is a great idea. I have decided to use the student Visa route. I am not paying Euro 40 000 to be doing online classes, as that defeats the essence of the MBA. I applied for an AP in October but made the mistake of choosing a start date that was 1 week away from the day I did the AP booking. I called the Embassy and was told my start date had to be at least 8 weeks from the day I apply for an AP. I was asked to cancel my last AP booking and do a new booking. What annoyed me is that the gentle told me "if i am lucky" i will be called.

Lucky - I already made 25K payment on my fees. Started doing classes. This dude still says lucky. So getting the AP is by "LUCK"...........

I must also add that - yes - only if you are going for a Ph.D. or have a state-sponsored scholarship will you easily get called up

terwizzy: On the SRD:

Like many of us here, I was looking for information on the SRD, doing all I could to prepare. Well I've just gotten back from mine and all I can tell you is: THERE IS NO REAL WAY TO PREPARE FOR THE SRD.

It is a daunting 12-hour day full of assessments: online, written, reflective, case study, presentation, question&answer sessions and a competency based interview.

REMAIN CALM AND JUST BE YOURSELF. The interview will expose all your strengths and maybe some of your flaws. Because it takes place over a long period of time, there's not much else you can do. Just do the best you can.

As I said before, as for preparation, don't bother yourself too much. Just go there and show what you're made of.

Good luck everyone.

You have spoken well.... Times without number i have told many this same thing... I had a bloody head ache after my SRD.... please tell me... did anyone tell you to send in your document after the exercise..... like waec certificate and alll
