Thanks. Arrived in France today. No mention of vaccination certificate at any point. Passport control at Cdg was super fast, no questions asked.

I am looking for a place ooo. Airbnb is 3 expensive

Yes, it is super fast to get in at the airport. COVID 19 regulations have been removed. . I got my place through Airbnb. Accommodation is a bit hard to get inside Paris. You can check for places outside of Paris but within 30 minutes. Maybe your employer can help.

For those that travelled recently to France, how did you show your Covid 19 vaccination certification? Did you print out the one issues in Nigeria?

Thank for your Swift response Effuaf, yes the hotel I saw is free cancellation but before the cancellation they will deduct the deposit fees.

In that case, try another hotel. I haven't seen a case of deducting deposit fees before cancelation. You can reserve at the hotel directly.

Good morning house

Please can I refill another France tourist visa application online ? I have already filled one before but I notice I made a mistake.

Secondly most of the hotel I seen that's affordable are requested for pay in advance, I hope doesn't mean if the hotel cancel my booking before my visa is out? Although pay in advance structure is like 5 days to my intend travel day moreless like free cancellation.

Pls advise, my appointment date is still little far.

Yes, you can cancel the application and start afresh.

Keep looking for hotels with free cancelation policy. There are lots of them on Booking.com. Use the filter option t find them.

This is an update regarding my long stay visa (Passeport Talent Researcher) application at the VFS centre in Lagos
I applied on the 23rd December, 2021 and my VISA was issued on the 5th of January, 2022.
Below are the documents I submitted:
1. International passport
2. Two copies of data page of my international passport (black and white). I saw so many people making coloured copies of the data page and I really don't know why.
3. Two copies of the online visa application form (blank and white). Try to avoid those agents beside the VFS building. They will mislead you just to make money. The guy convinced me to print the first and last page of the application form coloured (500 each). Upon entry, the lady that attended to make asked me to make a photocopy of the application form. I had an extra copy with me so I gave her the black and white copy.
4. The original copy of work contract agreement sent from France
5. My degree certificates; bachelors, MSc and PhD.
6. Covid-19 vaccination status
7. Axamansard travel insurance (Three months as advised here). I emailed VFS prior to buying the insurance policy as to the minimum duration required for the travel insurance. They responded that it is discretionary. I can buy any month I like.
8. Two coloured passport photo with a white background. I actually paid and took the picture at the VFS centre. I tried to avoid stories that passport does not meet the requirement.

What I did not submit
1. Travel history. One of the agents beside the VFS building told me to make coloured copies of my travel history but I refused because of the cost implications. Although I had black and white copies, the lady returned it back to me.
2. Flight reservation. The consulate called me twice. I missed the first call on the 2nd of January and they called back on the 5th to ask when I was travelling.
3. Police report.
4. Letter of introduction.
5. Hotel reservation.
6. Bank statement

My advise is to follow the instructions on the printed online application form for the documents required and try to avoid those agents beside the VFS building.
I wish you all the best of luck in your visa applications.

Thank you for the detailed post. I am also applying for a long stay visa (work), what type of travel insurance did you get from AXA and what’s the cost?
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by EffuaF(f): 6:14am On Jan 12, 2022
davide470:
The long stay visa (which is also your residence permit) you will receive will be valid for 12 months and upon renewal, a 4-year residence card will be given to you.

On accommodation, it is expedient you secure an accommodation (your employers can help or provide guidance on that). If you decide to go through with the 2-weeks reservation, add a cover letter stating you intend to view and close on an apartment within that timeframe.

Thank you for your response.

Which documents do I need to submit?

On the documents checklist, the stated documents for long stay visa ( work) are
International Passport
Passport photographs
Work contract
Work authorisation
Copies of diploma

I feel like there are other required documents that are not stated. Do I need these documents?
1. Police certificate
2. Travel insurance
3. Bank statement
4. Proof of accommodation etc

Am I missing other documents ?

I will appreciate your response. Thank you.

What specific help do you need?

I am applying for the long stay visa, more than one year. How many days/months of proof of accommodation do I need?

Will making a reservation with booking.com for 2 weeks suffice?

I want to use this opportunity to appreciate God and thank everyone on this thread.

I was at the embassy on Friday 3rd December 2021, got a positive response on the 8th December 2021 (3 working days) for a long stay visa

Just want to encourage as many as are still planning to apply and those already in the process not to give up.

Hopefully, I can get to share my full story soon.

Congratulations man. This is great news. Was your long stay visa for work purposes? Please I would like to ask some questions like what additional documents did you submit?

Just one person. I often use " they " when referring to an institution.

Yes I think it's Rutha or so , from international student marketing or something of the sort. She communicates via email. I can't recall the name of the lady who interviewed me tho .

Email your number to blupurple80@yahoo.com. that's my email .I'm not always on here often.

Thank you. Just one more question, how many people interviewed you and was there someone from the department you applied to?

tobianthony:

It went well . Kind of reminded me of the speaking test in IELTS. Just a little bit. .

They asked me to introduce myself.

How I found out about the university.

Why that particular course.

What roles I perform on a daily basis at work.

Things about Lithuania.

No big deal.

Travel / Re: Lithuania Student Visa by EffuaF(f): 9:53am On Jun 21, 2021
Awesome. Thank you for replying. Do let me know how it goes.

Good luck.

tobianthony:

I'm actually having mine this morning from MRU . I believe it's just standard procedure to get a feel of applicants and see if there's anything remarkable about them. Nothing to worry about just natural conversation about your goals , past and present I think .

It's no worry really. The only worry I have could be technical , internet , electricity going out .

So I'm prepared on that side.

What does this mean?

Do you guys think it is too late to apply for a Masters degree in Lithuania since the deadline is 31st May? I just learnt about Lithuania yesterday. I want to apply to MKU. Is there anybody currently studying there? Would like to ask some questions.

Gymnastics is not the black man's thing she is only wasting her time before she gets to her teens her whole body would have stiffened up.

World Olympics Gold champion in Gymnastics is a black woman. Don't be ignorant.
