Please for fees payment, is it better to pay via Form A with our naija banks or use a contact I was linked to in the UK ?
What is the Form A rate for those that used it? (i.e their GBP vs USD conversation in naira?), meanwhile the contact in UK is requesting for 600/GBP.
Which option do you think is beter off and economical? as every naira saved in this journey counts.
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Buddy, kindly do as advised by Ladymarshal. As the onus now lies on you to prove your unfettered access to the said funds. It’s time to embark on a convincing mission of the VO and his supervisors, with strong evidence that you have total access to the funds by liquidating asap.
Note, you need a compelling and systematic LOE. Infact, consult Ladymarshal as I see her doing this well enough for you. I pray she has time to help you out. Your swift response is highly recommended.

Trump modifies his stand on immigration: Donald Trump propose new immigration reform that will target skilled workers via a merit based system like Canada and Australia. This happened awhile ago in the white house live broadcast.

My candid advice is a NO NO.
How come he/she suddenly realizes the wrong DOB on his/her Int’l passport after using it to secure dual visas? More worrisome is that same passport had been used to travel to both countries (UK &US) that shares information with Canada.

Finally, some path are not worth taking in a bid to get to your destination. A word is enough for the wise.

titibaby:
Help needed for a friend. There was an error in the year of birth on her passport which she tried to change but was told she had to gobto Abuja, she dropped the idea. She was able to get US ans UK visas with the passport and has visited the countries multiple times. There is now an opportunity to correct the birth date and she wants to go ahead. However, she is scared of the implication for her application under EE, as she thinks there is a risk of being banned for misrepresentation, and also for the renewal of her American Visa.

Has anyone been in this situation before? Can you please provide details how was it resolved.

Most people aiming to get a Band 7 or above in IELTS Writing are learning complex strategies and techniques in the hope that some magic formula will help them get the score they need.

Many sites promise that the latest tricks, formulas, and tips will lead to a 7 or above. The truth is, if they worked, most people would get a high score. And as you well know, most people don’t.

Were you picked from EE pool or you applied to their province?
What is your Noc?
You can go ahead and apply if you are comfortable with the PNP route. As a lot of people had gotten PR via that route and chilling in Canada now.

If your concern is finance, I guess that May will be perfect for you. As for affecting plans, it all depends if the stuff are in Naija or Canada.
If naija, you can do soft landing with the family and return to Naija to finish up with your stuff, before joining them fully. As there must be a way round it.
All the best as you proceed.

Though I’m now getting better deals on skyscanner as suggested, I got about 935k for all of us but it’s for May, most of the cheap ones I got in the range 935k to 1.2m are in May and leaving in May would affect a lot of planning stuffs...will keep checking to see if I can get something better around July sha. Thanks everyone for your support.

That means only YOU and no extra person is allowed to come in with your PR VISA.
Others can weigh in with direct experience.

Thanks joo2018 for your response.
I guess it will be better to just inform CIC on the change of address due to her new job in Europe and left naija a week ago. Mind you, this new job wasn’t captured in her work history because it came after AOR. Also biometrics hasn’t been done yet, and when that time comes she intend to do it in Europe independent of her spouse in niaja. As we have read here that biometrics can be done from different locations.

So based on the aforementioned, I guess it is just proper to raise CSE and be at peace. I hope this is in order my people?
I’m asking for a dear friend, response/advice are most welcomed.

Cc: Ifeoma77, Mcstan, joo2018 & smslive.

joo2018:
Mm.

You can raise the CSE.

However, I don't think it's such a big deal. However, you must have a strategy for submitting your passports when the time comes.

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by efueh: 9:01pm On Jan 25, 2019
Please for an accompanying spouse(Not PA) that changed address to Europe, due to work responsibility after days of application submission/AOR.
1. Is there any need to inform IRCC by raising a CSE?
2. Or keep quiet and let the application run its course?
Your responses are welcome.

Just a quick question; how many semester was your MSc IT? Expecting your reply.

I have just completed my Msc IT from NOUN, results are out but the certificate isn't out yet. Which evaluating body can I use to quickly start my evaluation with the results alone?

I also hope I can get a Canadian Masters equivalency, cos anything short of that will not give the needed boost.

Anyone with experience or input along these lines

Information Makes All the Difference.
An excited Philip Akpoesiri Mike-Ifeta moved to Edmonton, Canada, with his family on December 21st, 2017. In Nigeria, he had worked in the banking and financial services industry and had developed extensive experience in retail, small business, insurance, pension, asset management and customer service.

His decision to move to Canada was stirred by a desire to “avail our children a better opportunity at education and life in general.”

Settling into Edmonton was not a problem. Philip had an elder brother who lived there with his family. That made Edmonton a natural destination of choice. What was paramount on Philip’s mind however was getting employment in good time. Fortunately for him, he had equipped himself with all the job search information he could find before arriving in Canada. The strategies he learned in his quest for information would come to make a difference in his search for a dream job that would match his skills, experience and aspirations.

“Information is power you know; it was information that helped us get through the immigration application process successfully and we believed that getting additional information would aid us in settling down in Canada quickly. We attended an International Organization for Migration (IOM) session in Nigeria and also looked for pre-arrival agencies online. There is tons of helpful information online, and many good agencies that offer free advice and courses to immigrants. It was a worthwhile experience as we got the much-needed information that eventually proved to be very useful,” Philip explained.

Philip’s job search took all of two months. “I signed on to the popular job site, Indeed.ca and set up mail alerts for jobs that matched my skill set and I kept the resumes going out for every and any role that matched my skills.”

By the end of the second month he was invited to interview with TD Bank for a customer service role. Philip’s interview with the bank proved to be an immensely successful one as the outcome exceeded his own modest expectations. He got hired for a relationship and asset management (banking and finance) role instead following what was inevitably a remarkable interview!

“The recruiter called back promptly and ahead of the scheduled feedback window to congratulate me stating that the interview panel was very impressed and had recommended that I be hired for a full-time financial services representative role immediately!” Philip enthused.

“Two magical things happened in that instant – I got a full-time higher level role than I applied for and got a role that would have otherwise required me to possess the Investment Funds in Canada Certification (IFC) which I didn’t have. TD paid for the exam and registered me with the province as part of my Certified Advisor Program with the bank,” he added.

He advises immigrants whose job search is taking longer than anticipated to, “keep trying, keep the applications going, seek information, look for settlement agencies, network, pray and have faith, believe in yourself, and it will definitely happen.”

My dear relax as you are fine. Kindly proceed and use it, as we have had people that got PR and landed too, using gift deed signed by giver and receiver only without lawyer stamp or notorizing it. Enjoy.

HTGAWM:
Hello Guys, Please I have a question with respect to a gift deed.

I did a gift deed with my mum. We typed it on an A4 letter. she signed and I signed and had 2 witnesses sign.

My questions:

1. My dad and brother signed as the witnesses (Is this allowed since they are relatives)
2. We had a lawyer to stamp it and signed and he also used his Nigerian Bar Association stuff stamp on it. (Is this sufficient/ Is this the right way to do it).
3. His NBA stamp license states March 2019 expiry...Is this a problem considering the deed was done in January when it was still valid.

Please, your kind response will be appreciated. Ive read the threads from Part 4 to date but can't find answers to this. Thanks all

Sir/Ma,
IMO, EOR should be your next move as your upgrade to 7 or 7.5 is certain than not going for EOR. No be same English wey you use take read and write you use for speaking?
I strongly believe EOR will come out positive for you.
Devil is a liar!

I have been unable to view my Dec 1st result but I just got the TRF today. LRWS 8.5,7,7.5,6.5. this is my third attempt (mod).
This is the first time I've got an 8 in listening, 7 and 7.5 previously, speaking has always been 7.5. I don't know if I should remark this result. so painful.
I know I wasn't impressive with speaking cue card, but I think I deserve a 7.

I’m so elated to this this good news today, indeed, the best way for IRCC to end the year with draws.
Congrats guys! More good news will come our ways come 2019. Amen.

Congratulations to all our previous and recent PPR holders. The Almighty that has completed this journey successfully for you guys will not make you all have any regret in Canny Land, and shall continue to pave ways of good fortunes for you.
Now to the category that I belong(lol), the Pre ITA gang, we need prayers "at this stage" to actualise this dream. We've all seen say all the CRS forecast had been trial by error as no one is really certain. That means MIRACLE will surely happen to that your score if you believe. I really think most of us with a really uncertain CRS should consider upgrading either through TEF or other alternative channel.

Thanks all!

Welcome to the club! Hurriedly go and claim it by following the link in your mail. I also got same as I don’t know what qualified me for it.

One thing was certain that my WES experience was full of confirmation drama with back and forth. My confirmation was done thrice. Despite all that, my ECA wasn’t released on due date, it came in 3days later, after worrying them on all communication channels.
So I got the e-badge mail first, before the ECA notification mail. As I assumed it was kind of compensation for my headache and delay.

The badge is cool and unique, as you can use it in your Canadian CV, LinkedIn account and job application emails, just to show your WES evaluation of your educational credentials. It doesn’t show your ECA number and your date of birth.

This is good with flexibility and greater competition now. As the pool size will be affected with geometric progression. I heard result will be out in 7days for computer based.
So LRWS will be done on Pc with zero or little human interference. As for the marking, computer will be effective on reading and listening marking, but i doubt if it will also mark speaking and writing. As I believe human will still be used, hence the 7days for release of result. Else, it would have been instant or 24hrs release. 2019 will likely have more computer based test takers. Fingers crossed.
