Business / I Have A Discounted Ticket To The UK With Medview. View For more info by efvee: 7:45pm On Dec 25, 2017
My laptop got stolen when I travelled earlier with medview. As a result, I got a free one-way ticket to the UK. Unfortunately, I don't have any plans to travel to the UK except next summer where my trip will be sponsored by a company I'd be working with. I currently have a one-way ticket I'd like to sell at 20% off the original price. Firstly you have to let me know when you plan to travel, so I can get the going rate and deduct 20% from the real price. Please let me know if you're interested. call me on 08068899921
Romance / Re: How To Get Married On A 20k Salary! by efvee: 9:37am On Aug 24, 2017
Bagehot:

When I was about to get married, the first thing my pastor asked was if I had a place of my own, and I had a stable reasonable income. The next thing was an assignment for my wife and I to write a detailed life-plan of where we see ourselves at every stage of our life, our aspirations, and a plan on how to get there.

If you have ever heard stories of how Mr X, a wretched fellow was class-mates with, or grew up with Mr Y, an uber-successful person, and you wondered why their paths diverged in life, its from their individual choices. I know people that got girls pregnant during NYSC, and got stagnated badly in life - one married a deeper-life type girl - today they are divorced: she started screwing for money, got tired of the marriage, and absconded with the kids. A couple of guys I know got married immediately they got jobs cos they were now 'adults' - a few years later, they are stuck cos they didnt get professional certifications, and certainly cant afford them right now - family obligations and all.

I refused to marry until I had attained a bit of professional standing, and married 7 years after a lot of my peers. My son came a month ago, and a lot of crazy un-budgeted expenses came up due to medicals. To the glory of God, I have been able to meet them. I'm cuddling him now while my wife sleeps, and I'm filled with pride that I can provide at least the basics of life, and set my son up for a bright future (amen). Every bank executive I knew married fairly late, and today, they can provide incredible opportunities for their kids, that most of us can only dream of.

God created everyone for a purpose; this life of misery and lack is not for anyone, but too few jump into life with a plan, and instead follow a template that a mediocre society has set for them, and end up miserable. If you think life is about going to school, coming out to get any random job, and getting married as soon as possible cos you want to do everything early without having a plan for the rest of your life, you would come short of your true potential. As your kids grow, what would you even teach them? How to endure suffering? Or how to achieve their true potential? Would you be the one to break the cycle of want in your bloodline? Or the one to perpetuate it? Would you let yourself be an object of ridicule for a starving wife? Or would you be the object of her admiration? Be wise.

I'm so in love with your arguments. You're very realistic. You understand these things.

Like I said earlier, too many of our people enjoy suffering. I'm fairly certain Fela Durotoye didn't get married on a monthly income of 20k. It is immoral for someone who can barely feed himself to get married. This is not a question of living in a duplex or eating turkey everyday. Even the bible says it that a man that cannot provide for his family is worst than an infidel. If you can barely feed yourself, heavens cannot punish you enough for bringing another life into this world - to beg for food? Hawk on dangerous high-ways? steal scraps of food at the risk of getting lynched?

Let me tell you something interesting: do you know the first 8 years of a child's life are the most critical? If a child is under-nourished early in life, his cognitive abilities would forever be diminished - long and short, e go hard for am to know book.

If you cannot bring a child into this world with a plan and resources for him;her to at least do slightly better than you, you are beyond useless. Too many men in Nigeria are becoming lazy and living their lives without foresight. Its a shame.

this comment shows you are well-read. This is the best comment I've seen on this post.

If a girl was reasonably comfortable prior to marriage, you would rather she joins you in suffering? BTW, I have no idea why a man earning 20k is still paying tithe.

I swear! i don't know why some guys think it's ok to be selfish. If she was brought up in good living standards and you cannot provide what she's been accustomed to, then respect yourself and go for your match. Really some men scare me.

bros cut the crap.that is veryyyy veryyyy unrealistic

Broke ass men are the horniest.because they don't have money they rely on only sex to still prove they're men and in the course of sex the wife will most definetly take in unexpectedly except if she's on birth control pills and even that birth control pills are not reliable. How about if she forgets to take it?

There are so many circumstances that will come up.bros no try am o you're toying with poverty and even if your wife is working to support you there's a limit to her endurance. The day one man flash change for her eye,off she goes with your children and if you resist she will remind you you're poor and broke and can't take care of her needs, she's tired of struggling

Now let's go to food.who told you 10k is enough to feed you for a month? who deceived you? When making life changing plans you need to be realistic about it

A big basket size of tomatoes is 13k.the tomato and pepper that will cater for a couple for like a week or 2 is 5k.I've not added meat or fish.moreover 1 big Titus fish is 500 naira and by the time you cut it there are just 5pieces

Meat is more expensive. If you want to buy cow meat the minimum you can see is 300 naira and with begging sef and that 300 Will be tinko of 5 pieces. Groundnut oil to Cook the soup nko. The ragolis bottle medium size is 500 naira. The bigger bottle is 1500 naira. Food in Nigeria is one of the most expensive commodities

1derica cup of beans is 300 naira so Mr man op if you don't plan to wallow in poverty and disrespect stay off marriage till you earn AT LEAST 100K for starters.marriage shouldn't be your priority now, establishing yourself should be.wives of broke men despise their husband's and if she has some kind of friends they'll be the one that Will arrange a sugar daddy for her

Forget the and co they wear outside and deceive people that they're happy even though they're poor, inside their house is anger, hunger and animosity

see ehn... there are still women out there who would survive with you with that monthly amount. The secret is getting the one you can provide for. As for me 100k is too small... considering how I was brought up and where I am now, I can't settle for anything less than 1M #justmythoughts

Education / Re: Ten Most Expensive Secondary Schools In Nigeria 2017 by efvee: 12:03pm On Aug 21, 2017
Seeing comments on this post shows the amount of inferior, bitter people we have in this country. Many kids from these schools are very intelligent and attend the best schools in the world... schools that products of your so called standard public schools can't easily get into. That's the reason why they are so expensive... something cannot be pricey and not have value... parents who send their kids to these schools know exactly what they're doing, they're not stupid. Stop whining about how irrelevant spending so much money on school fees is, if you had the money you won't come here to rant. I recently participated in an international internship in one of the best firms in the world in london. I spoke to other colleagues who attended the internship, asked them about their secondary schools and universities. All I got were: university of cambridge, loyola jesuit; university of oxford, day waterman college; university college london, avi-cenna. And me I went to Caleb International College (saying it with so much confidence lol!) my point is these guys get the exposure, connections and quality education. Don't be jealous and pray for God to bless your hustle so you can give your children the best.

Thanks so much guys. I have been dying in silence for long. Anytime I tell my mum she keeps relating it to something spiritual.

I really appreciate
