Religion / Re: Have You Praised Him Yet, Today? by egetz(m): 8:44am On Mar 12, 2008
they that are strong and mighty have no need of you,
they that are wise and knowledgable in their own eyes, despise you,

but me, the lowly, the man of little strenght, dust and mere dust,
in whom you have put your breath, out of your tenderloving kindness

i shall worship and pay obeisance at thy feet continually.
my Praise, is ever before you, Oh God of my salvation.

amen.

Family / Re: Married Men and Flirting by egetz(m): 1:05pm On Apr 18, 2007
most married men will flirt only with young and singles girls. they like to continue disvirgining young girls around. by the way, THE technical definition of a virgin is any girl that you have not laid personally is a virgin. so you see the virgin hunt can be a lifetime job.
Family / Re: Can A Husband Forgive Wife Caught In Adultery? by egetz(m): 9:27am On Apr 17, 2007
it is hard to forgive, but not impossible.
the question is on what foundation was the marriage based? if based on love, then it is very very hard, if based on society standing sake, it is impossible, if based on greed, expected inheritance and all those funny things that drive some unthinking young men around, then forgiveness is immediate. in fact, the sleeping around thing is taken for granted.

hail all nairalanders,

it occurred to me that we could share a few thoughts about the people that keep our beer drinking pastime pleasant. they deserve a mention for various reasons. reasons like the coldness of the beer, the people you meet there, the quality of the music and of course, the peppersoup.

so, tell us all where you dey shack, name am well.

forget Sharia, in Kano there are a thousand drinking places. i shall name mine soon after you guys and gulsssssssss

i do ponmo all the time. but now i do it with some reservations.
i just found that all the ponmo out there are not from cow meat. a huge number of them are wastes or rejects of sheep and goat skins of the tanning industry. being residues of the tanning process, these skins will have been made to undergo certain chemical treatments that are certainly injurious to humans. these chemicals will include acids like sodium sulphate, sulphuric acid and industrial salts which are all not meant for human intake. besides, the tanning process does not care about hygiene of these by-products because technically they are meant to be destroyed.
so when next you are eating ponmo, take the pain to look for the thick, treated, apparently more expensive ponmo. or else, look for the black, well smoked ponmo sold in large sizes. better still make your own ponmo.

Family / Re: What Rights Has Your Wife Over Your Mobile Handset Or Vice Versa? by egetz(m): 12:30pm On Apr 02, 2007
And you find this normal

And you don"t? please, you people should stop selling this irreal idea that marriage ceases to make a person a distinct human personality. that he becomes a cojoined contraption of the other person once he ties the nuptial cord.
i am me and she is herself, married or single. i never cease to maintain my life for the sake of marriage. i never cease to maintain my phone regardless of marriage. except you want it incorporated into all marriage contracts that by this ring, i shall swap my sim cards.

i believe looking into your wife"s phone is like looking into her handbag, what you see i what you asked for

of course, men have and keep secrets. secrets demanding from the nature of their jobs, their past lives, their surprises and take or leave it, their flippancies. what man is there without secrets?
let me listen up first.
Family / What Rights Has Your Wife Over Your Mobile Handset Or Vice Versa? by egetz(m): 3:36pm On Mar 31, 2007
Husbands, do you allow your wives free access to your mobile handset at all times?

When the phone chimes, who picks up the call? You or her?

And the most serious one, when you have a text message, who reads it first? you or wife?

This simple question has wrecked homes in the past.

Religion / Who Is Your Favourite Bible Personality? by egetz(m): 3:08pm On Mar 22, 2007
following from kaygirl"s what is your favourite Bible passage, i thought to ask who*apart from JESUS* is your favourite Bible personality and why. Without Jesus there will be no Bible in the first place that is why i assumed the LORD himself is our number one darling.

for me it is David and it because he loved God in an unparallelled way, so much that he got away with his many sins.
Religion / Re: What Passage In The Bible Keeps You Going? by egetz(m): 2:58pm On Mar 22, 2007
2nd SAMUEL CHAPTER 22 is my best portion of the Bible. David wrote this passage after God had delivered him from all his enemies. i am still fighting though but i take inspiration from this passage.

excerpts

22:30 For by you I run on a troop; By my God do I leap over a wall.

22:33 God is my strong fortress; He guides the perfect in his way.

22:34 He makes his feet like hinds' feet, Sets me on my high places

22:36 You have also given me the shield of your salvation; Your gentleness has made me great

22:44 You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people; You have kept me to be the head of the nations: A people whom I have not known shall serve me.

22:45 The foreigners shall submit themselves to me: As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me.

22:46 The foreigners shall fade away, Shall come trembling out of their close places.

22:51 Great deliverance gives he to his king, Shows loving kindness to his anointed, To David and to his seed, forevermore.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things
