Properties / Re: Land Allocation In Abuja : Limited Offers! Get Your Own Now by egus(m): 6:48pm On Sep 01, 2009
Hi Hakir, please I need your opinion on land at kuje south under the administration of FCDA.

1. What villages comprise kuje south?
2. Is there development there?
3.How much can one get a plot of land there?
4. Does this new rule about rise in premium of C of O affect this area?
5. Where does the FCDA come in?

Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.

Hafees, I think you have got it all wrong. What nairalanders have done is first of all analize the manner in which your hero has presented his case and have thought it wise not to enter into the real issue. I am sure that if your hero had presented his case humbly he would have received responses on the real issue. I submit therefore that the best advice for now is "treat people with respect irrespective of their social conditions"

Check this dance company in lagos. www.ijodee.net They do afro-contemporary, traditional african dances etc, they have good knowledge about the nigerian dance scene vis-a-vis other dance forms. Take care.

snake hisses, lion roars, and the giraffe, ?

After creating all the animals from the biggest to the smallest, Eledumare the creator asked them if they wanted any other feature added to their being. The giraffe responded "my lord please grant me wisdom". Eludamare smiled then said "good thinking giraffe, henceforth you shall not make any sound because talkatives are quite stupid but the wise shut their mouths and think more" That is why today the giraffe sees all, hears all but DOES NOT MAKE ANY SOUND.

Well it depends on the kind of job you are looking for. I want to imagine that you speak spanish too. About the immigration laws, you will need a work permit from the company where you intend to work and it is quicky conceded where data shows that there are few spanish job seekers in that chosen profession.

Culture / Re: Is English Our Native Language In Nigeria by egus(m): 8:40am On Jul 14, 2006
I agree with you Edeh.onos. Infact most east african countries have english as the official language and swahili(which is a mixture of other languages including arab) as the national language. I therefore propose PIDGIN as our national language. Votes for and against?

I was in the first set of Diploma in Law. It was great. Really proud to have read it.
Family / Re: How Many Of You Speak Pidgin To Your Parents? by egus(m): 1:03pm On Jun 20, 2006
In most east african countries swahili is the national language apart from the official e.g English in the case of Kenya. We all know that pidgin is the only medium of communication amongst Nigerians of all works of life and I feel it is high time we give it a national recognition.

Travel / Re: Complaints About Nigerian Embassy In Spain by egus(m): 1:10pm On Mar 08, 2006
Thanks a lot friends. I really feel better now. I guess we should begin to do something even if it's on the internet to sensitize  on these issues. I have noticed that some of our embassies  do quite little to protect the interest of Nigerians abroad  and money that get in are not accounted for due to the fact that you are asked to pay in cash(in  my case) instead of bank drafts, cheques or a bank account.   I know of all the legal immunity they enjoy but do you think EFCC has jurisdiction  to that level?

Nigerian Embassy Complaints

Hello. I have been trying to process a friends visa to come to Nigeria in one of Europe's countries and the Nigerian embassy staff are really giving us a tough time without reason. Anyone knows where,to whom and how I can make official complaints based on the issue at hand (to Nigerian Authorities) ? Thanks.

I get your conclusion carlito and I agree with u as long as we don't generalise issues. We all know that A FEW white girls do that to their white boyfriends and vice versa irrespective of the fact that the relationship is interracial. Prend soint de toi

Carlito Welcome to nairaland. In your first mail I share some of your views because I know people will always say things and it is good to know that. However I feel there is a contradiction when you said "...they know I am not a newcomer in their nasty environment" because it is my view that a nasty environment is not characteristic of Nigerians in Europe and elsewhere and I would like you to see it as a VICE common to your girlfriend and her friends who by chance are also Nigerians.
Politics / Re: Potential Coup In Spain! by egus(m): 2:31pm On Feb 02, 2006
How many of u nigerians are in spain? I agree that Spain's democracy is solid and my view is that it is the opposition party(Partido Popular) that is just using it to destabilize the Socialist party(PSOE)and consequently gaining posible votes for the next election. Catalunya will surely have their Statute(Estatut) passed into law in the next possible weeks and other regions in Spain will then follow the same methodology to ask for the same. Catalunya has always been a pace setter in Spain's regional development(in my humble opinion).

Friends, please lets be cautious when we make comments about interracial or intercultural relationships 'cos they sometimes do much harm to our emotions. Medube irrespective of his race may be more nigerian than a lot of us and that is what matters at times. I believe being african or white is a question of thought and not race.

Travel / Re: Has Emigration Solved Our Problem? by egus(m): 7:49pm On Jan 10, 2006
Quite an interesting topic. I have some views on some of ur questions. I guess the reasons for emigration today are quite clear; political, economic etc. The economic attainment of this is that due to the money sent by families abroad, a middle class set of Nigerians have emerged. One clear impact it has on children is what experts have termed identity conflicts because the society will always see them as 2nd,3rd,4th generation of immigrants even by being born in that country.

I think the first thing to do is to educate the people around u through your acts. What happens if really u don't have? The problem sometimes lies in the way we seek respect through material show off.
