Hello VO,

I want to thank you for your continued help on this forum, it is well appreciated.
We collected our visas last week but found out this morning that our son's gender was wrongly stated as 'female'. Please what do we do?

Hello VO,
I got interviewed yesterday, and visa was approved. But when i got home, i realised that the original copy of my attestation of birth was not given back to me my the interviewer. Was it supposed to be given back to me? Dear VO, if your response is yes, How do i get it back?

Hello CO,

What kind of birth certificate is acceptable for immigrant visa interview. I have the original birth certificate issued in 1982 by the local government, is this acceptable? What is a short form or long form birth certificate.

Thanks in anticipation of your quick response.

Regards.

Hello VO,
For immigration visa processing, are vaccination records compulsory for people above 21 years?

VisaOfficer:

It usually takes NVC around 30-60 days to review documents -- sometimes much less though. At any rate, no matter how long the document review takes, siblings currently have a waiting period of around 12 or 13 years from the date of filing to the date of their interviews. The good news is that your husband and any children can certainly be included in the case; just let NVC (or, later, the Embassy or Consulate) know that you're married with children. Usually, all fees are paid to NVC before an appointment is scheduled.

I have no idea what the visa fee will be by the time your case is scheduled for an interview. Right now it's $325 per person.[/quote]

Does this mean that my spouse and child will have to accompany me to the interview?

I am not really clear on your response about their visa fees... will we be required to pay visa fees for the both of them?]

Hello VO,

My sibling filed for an immigrant visa for me since 2013, we just got notified by NVC that we can start gathering documents for review. My questions are these
1. How long does it take NVC to review documents submitted
2. How long will it be before an interview date will be given
3. Will my husband and daughter go with me to the interview as they were not initially petitioned for
4. Will we be required to pay visa fees for them at the embassy
5. How much will their visa fees cost

Thank U for ur prompt response.
Regards cheesy
