Politics / Re: See Reno Omokri Tweet About Peter Obi One Year Ago. What Went Wrong? by ekesol: 6:25pm On May 28, 2022
Built2last:
Peter Obi followed by Tinubu are the candidates in this election that Reno Omokri has spent time on social media trying to discredit.

Check his timelines. Everyday he posts things to dissuade people from following Peter and try to convince people that he doesn't stand a chance. He was doing that on Tinubu for a while but his focus is now more on Twitter.

Let's even agree Peter doesn't stand a chance at presidency, what's wrong with allowing the man pursue his dream. what went wrong between them. Why is Reno exacting so much energy trying to attack his followers and dissuade people from following him.

In all these, neither Peter nor Tinubu has replied Reno.

I came accross this tweet and I recall the good old days when Reno sings awesome songs about Peter. When Atiku and Peter were political associates Reno praised their combo. What suddenly changed?

Reno had openly said he is supporting Atiku, Could it be that Reno had preferred Obi to remain Atiku's vice and not vie for president and when Peter was not going for that, hatred set in.

I mean there are tens of candidates contesting across party lines. There are people Reno has never said a word about. What did Peter and Tinubu do to Reno.

Reno has said Peter's followers online are toxic. Why not ignore as a former associate of Peter and Atiku.

Reno said Peter left PDP to avoid being disgraced. There are over 10 contestants. Only one winner will emerge. Is Reno saying that whoever looses election has been disgraced? Peter is not the first to leave a party and move to another and won't be the last.
There is just more to it that Reno is not saying.

His boss Jonathan and Obi are very close, what will happen if APC gives ticket to GEJ and he wins and calls Peter to come serve as minister of economy or minister for finance.

I have tried to understand where the so much venom against Peter and Tinubu is coming from. I can't place it.

See his tweet just a year ago.

Politics / Re: Peter Obi Left PDP To Avoid "Disgrace" At The PDP Primary Election – Reno Omokri by ekesol: 1:22pm On May 28, 2022
Itopalucky:

Former Presidential spokesman and best-selling award winner, Reno Omokri has shed more light on the possible circumstances that led to for PDP Vice Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, quitting PDP even as a Presidential aspirant.

According to Reno Omokri, Peter Obi left PDP to avoid being disgraced at the PDP Presidential primary election scheduled for today, May 28. He emphasized that Peter Obi is not on ground in the Anambra PDP, hence he indeed stood no ground of going far in the race if he was indeed going to aspire under PDP for President ahead of the 2023 polls.

Reno Omokri mocked Peter Obi’s choice of Labour Party as the new party upon which he wants to continue his political career and 2023 presidential ambition.
https://2023.ng/?p=317

Reno Omokri said the Labour party does not have a national structure upon which Peter Obi can win the 2023 polls. Furthermore he made it clear that Peter Obi’s policy ideologies don’t align with the ideology of the Labour Party.

Politics / Re: Rochas: Behind The Scenes by ekesol: 5:35pm On Mar 16, 2022
YemideyforYOU:
Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha is a popular Nigerian politician known for his astuteness.
The former Governor of Imo state and currently a Senator representing Imo West, Imo State was born on the 22nd of September, 1962 in Igboko, Ideato South, Imo State. His background was not so encouraging as he wasn’t born with a silver spoon. In fact, he described his family’s state when growing up as “all shades of grey”. This spurred him into becoming an enterprising young lad. He hawked groceries in Barkin Ladi, Jos.

His story is note-worthy as he did some notable things like;
Buying a Television at the age of 9.
Purchasing a bus at the age of 14.
Becoming the head of a commercial school at 19.
Becoming the proprietor of a school at the age of 23.

He attended Juladeco High School, Jos. He obtained a Diploma in Public Administration at the University of Jos between 1990-1991. In 1993 he returned and obtained an advanced diploma in Public Administration.
Before his venture into politics, he was;
President, Rochas Group of Companies Limited
President/Founder, Rochas Foundation Inc
President of Nigeria Red Cross Society
Pro-Chancellor, African Business School
Former Chairman, Board of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency.

Rochas served as a commissioner on the Federal Character Commission and also a member of the National Constitutional Conference. With the restoration of democracy in 1999, Rochas competed in the primaries to be the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Imo State but he didn’t get it. After then, he moved to the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP). In 2003, he contested as president under the platform of the ANPP and again, just like the previous time, it didn’t fall through. After his return to the PDP, Fmr. President Olusegun Obasanjo appointed him as Special Adviser on Inter-Party Affairs. In 2005, he formed a party known as Action Alliance (AA). His plans were to contest as President under the AA in the 2007 elections. For personal reasons, he returned back to PDP again.

He later left the PDP for the APGA to run as the APGA candidate for Imo state Governor in the April 2011 elections in Imo. Earlier in December, 2010, APGA had suspended him from the party but regardless, he went on to campaign as APGA governorship candidate and won. And though there Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the election inconclusive due to some said irregularities, the final results had Rochas emerging as winner after he got 336,859 votes.

In 2013, he left for the All Progressive Congress (APC) and then contested in the 2015 general elections for a second term in office with the former deputy speaker, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as a major opponent. The election, which held on 11th April 2015 after the initial date was shifted by six weeks due to perceived security threat. The election was eventually declared inconclusive also. After a re-run ordered by the INEC due to the 79,000 differences between the votes scored by the leading and the second candidate. After the re-run, Rochas won the 2015 Imo state Governorship election.

His move to lead some members of the APGA to form the APC in 2013 was thereafter followed by his being elected the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum.
Furthermore, after his tenure as a two term serving Governor of Imo State, he contested for the senatorial seat at the National Assembly and won. He was issued a certificate of return on 11th June, 2019 and was sworn in on 13th June 2019 by Ahmed Lawan, the Senate President.

Freedom is always exclusively for the ones who think differently.

Mister man how much were you paid for this rubbish.

Politics / Re: Rochas Okorocha- The Hope For The New Nigeria. by ekesol: 2:06pm On Mar 16, 2022
OneBillionLarai:
The Rochas Okorocha success story is proof that our background just writes the first few chapters of our lives but it's up to us to write the remaining chapters of it.
A look into his life will show a rugged determination to succeed at all odds, despite barriers and inconveniences.
Born without rich privileges, he set out in life at a seeming disadvantage of poverty, which he always refers to as the driving force of his passion for helping the downtrodden and poor in society.
His Foundation (Rochas Foundation) is a show of his passion for education and unhindered access to it irrespective of a child's parentage, social class, tribe, or religion. In his words "Education is not just a way to Life, it is Life itself." It serves as a catalyst for the achievement of potential. In it lies the future of generations and any Government passionate about its people must give top priority to Education.
Also, as a humanitarian with a passion for excellence, a discussion with him leaves you spurred, energized, and determined to play your part.
His vision for a New Nigeria was borne out of the belief that Nigeria has what it takes to stand shoulder to shoulder with developed countries if her abundant resources, both human and natural are properly harnessed and managed.
There is hope for a Nigeria we can all be proud to call ours irrespective of our ethnicity, religion, beliefs, or class as he is a detribalized leader. Known for his "people-oriented politics, Rochas is popular also for his slang "My people, my people" which is responded with "My governor my governor" during his time as Governor of Imo state and even out of office, he is still people-driven, a trait scare among the political elites who are alienated as far as possible from the reality of those whose trust and votes bring them into office.
The New Nigeria brings hope, a breath of fresh air, a drive in the right direction, a much-needed shift in the political sphere and governance.
