Politics / Re: Dilemma: Stuck Between A Dead Nigeria And Corrupt Freedom Fighters(photos) by ekesol: 8:33pm On Sep 14, 2021
fenibak:
First of all, Nigeria is dead and it is only a fool that would think Nigeria can be saved, the country is gone and I don't see any hope for Nigeria and balkanization is the only option. so when I wanted to join the struggle I said to myself I have a mission and that mission is to make sure we never become like Nigeria or south Sudan, my loyalty would be to country{biafra}, turning into south Sudan was my only fear, I came into this struggle with principles, I am not in it to make money, it is harder to write, it is easier to make live videos

The reason I joined this struggle late is that I was scared of us turning into South Sudan because I know how men are hungry and greedy for power and I was right just look at what is happening today.

Before I started I did a lot of research, I studied all groups from Massob to Biafra Nations to Biafra Nations League and to Ipob and I know freedom fighting in Africa can never be gotten without fighting for it and this is why I started following Ipob and BNL, I listened to Kanu talk and I loved it, I have written articles praising him and also knocking him as I said my loyalty is to Biafra, for those that follow my write-ups you know how much I argue and defend ipob and Nnamdi Kanu, I did not join any group after I discovered that they are mostly fighting about money and I said to myself, Nah, I won't take sides but I will watch them, I decided to call myself the Biafran middle man, I don't agree with uwazurike style, they are killing your people and you are shouting non violence, are you slow? Do you want to be like Benue before you wake up? I also lost respect for him when he said he kidnapped Kanu,he didn't have the right to do that, you shout non-violence but you kidnapped Kanu?, you are a bloody hypocrite uwazurike and you must apologise to Kanu and Kanu would also apologize to you and truth be told you are still needed in this struggle

After Kanu was kidnapped a lot was exposed about Ipob if you follow the news you would know, I saw nepotism, backstabbing, and corruption and I spoke up about it and I was insulted and abused by the same Ipob members that I have been defending, lol I won't bend my principles for you.no doubt ipob members tore kanuta, Kanu's brother to shreads, but i saw some defending kanuta

Let me break it down

Nepotism: Nnamdi Kanu's brother called Kanuta knew Nnamdi kanu was arrested in Kenya and kept it to himself and he used Kanu's Twitter account to manipulate people, he bypassed the Directorate Of State(DOS) and the spokesman of Ipob to announce The cancellation of the sit at home, who does that? There was a back and forth about Bank accounts but he was eventually defeated on the account issue, with all these crimes I listed about kanuta he was not sanctioned or suspended from Ipob,in fact he was even boasting, I call it nepotism or which other name should we call it?

Back Stabbing:You all know Simon Ekpa, infact kanu was right when he told Simon to continue, because he has the fans, charisma and the people love him,i used to see him as a clown before now,he laughs alot but when i listened to him i loved it, truth is, it was a strategic move by kanu, but the members of the DOS are scared that Simon would take over ipob, so what did they do, they made him look dirty, the head of the DOS chika Edoziem said on radio that Simon said radio biafra should be transferred to him and yes I agree with ipob that if you want to broadcast you must follow the rules and regulations and sign, but in this situation an exception should have been made, Simon did all his best to cover for ipob, he even said the ipob crisis is a strategy to gain world attention and I knew it was a lie, point is the man did his best to cover for ipob, they destroyed his name, this is a power struggle and remember when I told about you about the greed of men?, infact go online and see ipob insults against this man and as if that was not enough, ipob Finland released a statement saying Simon is not a member of ipob, crazy right the same man that has been fighting for ipob and Biafra, must we all be in ipob to fight for Biafra?

Corruption: This is the one that broke me the most and when I talk they say how much did you donate for Esn, I did donate for Esn even if it was small, this is why it is called a donation if 5000 people donate $40, do you know how much that would be and some donate more and some donate less, even if 5000 people donate $10 that would be something as well if you like donate 1billion all man would still be equal in Biafra, the idea of a donation is to make everybody participate, I had an argument with a member of Ipob and I told him why Esn need to be fully kitted and what he said shocked me, he said they should fight without a bulletproof vest, really. Guess what this guy is living in India, I told him why can't you send your family to come and fight without kits, he said there is no money and I told him that is a lie and with $20,000 you can buy 100-150 vests, I called him wicked for asking people to fight without bulletproof vest and he started insulting me and when I defeated him with facts the fool blocked me. lol

If you follow the news you would see how they are looting ESN funds, Prince Darlington has been crying, and guess what he is a member of Ipob, his tears was too much that they had to suspend him, they have reinstated him but he won't be able to talk like before, they shut him up, they buried corruption

Are these not the same Ipob blasting Nigeria about corruption? They can't even manage corruption in their own group

Massob. We all know massob have been accused of corruption and also taking money from corrupt Igbo politicians

BNL, I am still doing more research but as far as I can see I have not seen anything about corruption and this group actually have a democratic structure and they once hijacked a ship because of nnamdi Kanu in 2016,

So now you understand my dilemma, Nigeria is not an option because Nigeria is dead, I have no option but to watch all of them, I won't be joining any group,i pray they find their way back because biafra is bigger than all of us

https://www.biafranboys.org/dilemma-stuck-between-dead-nigeria-and

My brother they all criminals
Don't waste your time with them
Many of them are fraustrated abroad. They need an easy way out hence IPOB was formed.

masterpiscles15:

Truth be told the strategies adopted to reduce traffic congestion by Governor Hope Uzodinma's administration in the heartland city of Owerri, Imo Sate capital is indeed working.

Three of the many notable roads that have been given a facelift are the Fire Service , Warehouse Junction and Aba Road by Akachi.

The rehabilitation of over 42 roads across the state is also one of the major accomplishment of the 3R government within the past 19months.

I live in Owerri and ply these roads on daily basis and strongly believe that the ongoing construction and modernisation of roads as well as the provision of street lights around Douglas Road, among others will impact positively on efficiency of transportation and enhanced property values, while improving safety and security and better economic productivity.

Some of the major road projects almost complete with modern facilities such as street lights, pipe ducts, drainage channels and beautification of medians, which have been delivered to the public include the Douglas Road,, MCC road , Government House Road among others

Im highly optimistic that with all these strategies well developed and managed, there will be an ultimate reduction in travel time and flooding around Owerri.

Adeola Soetan was a staff of the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, Abeokuta when some young student leaders from the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife visited the station. Cladded in black, they came in connection with the annual commemoration of the June 7, 1981 massacre of six students in Ife by the police.
.

He is great Nigerian
I respect him so much
These are leaders we need in our society.

Adeola Soetan
The students looked so young, yet articulate and confident while being interviewed, that he decided in furthering his studies, to attend the OAU. So in 1986, he was admitted into the institution for a five -year course in Agriculture. He was aged 25.But when he got to the campus, the student union that attracted him, had been banned over protests against the student massacre at the Ahmadu Bello University, ABU.

On campus, he started writing and pasting articles why student unionism should be restored. His articles carried his name and room number. One day, two young students, Yinka Odumakin, later a national figure in Nigerian politics, and Kola Odetola visited and invited him to join a student journal,‘Ripples’. A month later, they invited him to a student seminar where he met young students discussing how to revive the student union and intelligently analysing national and international politics. That was how he joined the radical students movement.

About three months later, during the university convocation, the representative of the Visitor, Admiral Patrick Koshoni, was stoned by students protesting the trial for treason of eleven electricity senior staff who had gone on strike in protest against the neglect of their sector. Soetan was not present when this happened. He had attended an all-night social party the day before, and slept most of the day. So when Koshoni was stoned, he was sound asleep in his room. About 9.30pm, Odumakin and Odetola came to his room and asked whether he listened to the NTA Network News. No he hadn’t. So they informed him he was one of the students the university claimed to have identified stoning Koshoni and has therefore been rusticated indefinitely. He was just four months on campus!

Soetan an orphan since 19, was sponsoring himself in school with help from his sister, Rosalyn Soetan. She seemed so devastated and exclaimed: “How could you go and stone the Minister?” He replied: “ I did not stone the Minister, I was not even there.” She responded: “Ah! Iro ni”(Ah! It is a lie).

Soetan went to court to prove he was not physically present at the convocation and was not given any hearing. Also, to point out that three of the eight rusticated students were pen names, so how could the university claim people whose identity they do not know, were seen stoning the Minister? Additionally, that one of the remaining names, Seni Ajayi was served his rustication letter in Ondo whereas the person served had graduated and left the university! So, it was clearly a case of mistaken identity. Soetan lost the case but the reinvigorated student union asked the rusticated students to resume classes, and the university turned a blind eye.

In April 1990, Soetan was elected the student union President. Shortly afterwards, there were national student protests and the OAU students union was banned and the school closed down for one month.

Then there was an attempted coup in the country on April 22, 1990 and state security agents invaded the campus and abducted two lecturers, Professors Omotoye Olorode and Idowu Awopetu. In the process of spiriting the lecturers away, one of the agents in his car lagged behind, was apprehended by the students and beaten. The university authorities wanted to save the life of the security agent from the thousands of angry students, but could not persuade them, so they appealed to Soetan.

He asked in what capacity he was to intervene since the union had been banned. But the university denied the union was banned. So he spoke to the students and assured them that the union was capable of handling the situation. Later, the university wrote the students inviting them to meet government representatives who were threatening to storm the campus unless the agent was released. The students rejected the letter, insisting it should be properly addressed. Two hours later, the university unbanned the students union and returned with a letter addressed to the President of the students union. So the students agreed to the meeting. The security agent was released after spending 12 days in the students custody.

In 1991, the National association of Nigerian Students, NANS, ordered a nationwide students boycott of classes in furtherance of its demand for a N2,000 bursary for students and the right to education. When a student congress was called in OAU to mobilise for this protest, a cult group, the posted notices decreeing: “No Rally. No protest on campus. Be warned.” When Soetan led the student congress that held in Awolowo Hall, there were disturbances.

His supporters guided him to safety in his Room 273, Awolowo Hall. Then the armed cultists smashed his door, dragged him out, broke a flower vase on his head and brought him to the ground floor. It was at that point students realised what was going on and came to his rescue. The cultists broke into a run, fleeing into the hills. But one of them ran to the bar of the Student Union Building, SUB, from where he flung bottles at the students injuring a number. The students retaliated likewise and he was severely injured. He died while being taken to the teaching hospital.

The university was closed down for two weeks. On resumption, Soetan was invited with some students to write a statement on the incident at the More Police Station, Ife. Eighteen of them were detained and later taken to police cells in Ibadan. After about one month, Soetan and three others were brought back to Ife, and amidst police-student street battles, were charged with conspiracy and murder before a magistrate court. They were remanded at the Ilesha prisons where they spent seven months (June 12, 1991-January, 1992) before the police discontinued the case.

On return to campus, Soetan was again expelled, this time for failing to register for two semesters which was impossible as he was in police cell and prison for eight months. The struggle to get him recalled went on for over two years.

Soetan, even without failing his examinations, spent 13 years in OAU for a five-year programme. He passed through four Vice Chancellors: Professor Wande Abimbola who first expelled him; Professor Adeniyi Osuntogun, the next to expel him; Professor Wale Omole, the third to expel him; and Professor Makanjuola Roger who signed his certificate. Yesterday, Sunday August 29, 2021, this indomitable fighter, turned 60.

Yesterday, Sunday August 29, 2021, this indomitable fighter, turned 60.

cocolacec:
*How Azikiwe, an Ibo, deposed the grandfather of the new Olu Erejuwa III, who was re-instated by Awolowo, a Yoruba:*

The newly crowned Olu of Warri, Ogiame Erejuwa III, reversed the curse of his grandfather, the Ogiame Erejuwa II.

In 1963, Ogiame Erejuwa II, had taken the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Mid-West Government to court over the inclusion of Itsekiri in the newly created Mid-West region.

Ogiame Erejuwa II told the court that the Itsekiri Kingdom is part of the Yoruba nation and should have remained as part of the Western region and not included in the Mid-West region.

He argued emphatically that the Itsekiri people would like to be a part of the Western region and backed the Action Group led by Awolowo and rejected the NCNC led by Nnamdi Azikiwe who controlled the Mid-West.

Angrily, NCNC leader Nnamdi Azikiwe deposed Ogiame Erejuwa II and deported him to Ogbesse. The king then put a curse on all the Itsekiri who supported Ibo to bring the Itsekiri kingdom into disrepute. Okotie Eboh, an Itsekiri who supported the Ibo to depose the Itsekiri King would later be assassinated by the Ibo soldiers involved in the January 1966 military coup.

In 1966, Awolowo was set free by Yakubu Gowon and named the Federal Minister of Finance and the de facto Vice President of Nigeria. The first thing he did was to reinstate Ogiame Erejuwa II as the Olu of Warri. But Ogiame Erejuwa did not revoke the curse. His grandson, Ogiame Erejuwa III, has just removed the curse on the Itsekiri people.

The Itsekiri Kingdom is one of the twenty-six Yoruba tribes.

Rubbish narrative mumu.
Was Zik the premier of Midwest.?
Thesame Awolowo caused the whole problem in Nigeria.
Awolowo with his penchant to lead at all cost caused problem in South West which made them deny Zik as their Premier after the whole Yoruba voted for him.
Awolowo brought ethnic politics to Nigeria.
Awolowo was imprisoned for all his misdeeds against the new formed federated Nigeria. No wonder he sabotaged and staged a coup against Akintola for supporting Zik.
While Awolowo was in prison Ojukwu pardoned him immediately the New republic was formed.
Awolowo went behind and joined Gowon to fight igbos.
Awolowo later became a finance minister and used all Nigeria resources to strangulated the igbos because he felt they dominated the civil service at the time.
Awolowo later went to champion the Economic blockade against the East where millions of Biafra children died. The world cried and he did not listen because he though he could dessimate the igbos .
After the war Gowon innitiated the 3Rs , ( Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration) Awolowo was not happy for this later went and convinced Gowon to innitiate the £20 policy for Igbo no matter what millions you had in account .
Immediately the Policy was endorsed by the supreme military council, he went further to innitiate the indigenization policy knowing fully well that igbos with £20 can't buy any property from the multinationals.
He later sold many to himself( e.g Coca-Cola) and sold the rest to brothers.
In 1978 he contested for Nigeria's presidency and failed that election worefully.
He later came with his propaganda that he won.
In 1983 he was jailed by his compatriots the Fulani in the person of Gen. Muhammed Buhari for treason and was later on released for a house arrest.
Awolowo because his frustration and regrets in life later went to Kill himself by commuting suicide.
Thesame Awolowo worked with Gowon to cede bakasi peninsula to Cameroon to strengthen their economic blockade against Igbos.
Today we have lost Bakassi forever. Today the indigenous people of Bakassi are now refugees and that singular act has claimed thousands of life.
Awolowo made the Olu of itsekiri the Olu of Warri in a place were they were minority. The Urhogbos , ijaw etc remains Majority.
In 2000- 2002 .That singular act consumed more than 50,000 lives.
Awolowo caused more problem to Nigeria more than he can chew
He is the innitiator of ethnic politics.
May Almighty God judge him where ever he is now. His hell aboard will be a big Bed forever.

Politics / Re: All Eyes On 2023: PDP, Tambuwal To The Rescue by ekesol: 9:30pm On Aug 27, 2021
stephanie11:
By Chido Collins

With the abysmal performance of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in government, the expectation of the generality of Nigerians for an amelioration of the present situation hinges squarely on the prospects of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) taking power in 2023. But even before that, Nigerians are also full of expectations from the PDP to give the ruling APC a close mark in order to ensure that it gives good governance to the people.

Put differently, the burden of returning the country to the path of sanity shifts increasingly not just to the PDP as a corporate entity but indeed to the key dramatis personnae in its leadership architecture especially the governors, technocrats, business class. In other words, Nigerians, generally, look up to the current crop of visible leaders, to ensure that the party lives up to its bidding as an alternative to the APC. Within the governors, however, one fellow on whom this burden seems to have rested is the Chairman of their Forum, the Sokoto State Governor, His Excellency, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

As Chairman of PDP Governors' Forum, Governor Tambuwal have all eyes on him, the reason being simply that, aside his track record of democratic exposures, leadership qualities, urbane disposition, he has galvanized his colleagues into actions that have put the party in a good stead to reverse the current trend of events in the country.

Since his emergence as the Chairman of PDP-GF, he has not only been instrumental to the stability of the group, he has provided a rare leadership that has seen it rise to occasions to navigate both the ship of their party and indeed that of State, by providing constructive alternatives and virile opposition to the APC led federal government.

Take for instance, his roles since his party, PDP, found itself in recent crisis, occasioned by certain powerful interests that want its National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus to step down as its Chairman. Governor Tambuwal quickly mobilized his colleagues to stand in the gap, as a trusted mediator and conscience of the party to ensure calm and peaceful resolution of a crisis that would have seen the party implode. What got the attention of watchers was not the fact that he was handy, but the extent at which he has been able to court various interests, stakeholders and organs of the party with confidence and sagacity. The Secretariat of the PDP-GF, headed by its Director General, Hon. CID Maduabum, deserves commendation in this regard.

Today, PDP Governors' Forum, has become a respected formidable bloc that speaks with one voice and driven by a common interest - Nigeria. This group has opened a new vista with its monthly meetings, rotated among member states. What this implies is that, ample time has been given to brainstorming and appraising interests of their respective states and importantly that of the corporate Nigeria entity.

That is not all. Governor Tambuwal’s influence transcends his party, the PDP. He is also Deputy Chairman of the Nigerian Governors' Forum, a position that puts him in a good stead to have a more wholistic view of issues concerning governance in the country.  This expectation is heightened by both the governor’s personality and his trajectory as an elected political office holder. As a person, Governor Tambuwal has charisma and a level of comportment that is not quite common among Nigerian politicians.

As a politician, he is astute, courageous,  focused and consistent. As an office holder, he is dexterous and honest. His four year stint as Speaker of the House of Representatives gave the National Assembly one of its most glorious era. Nigerians saw robust discourse, engagements and a House that was sensitive to their plight, yearnings and aspirations. As governor, his state, Sokoto, has witnessed tremendous development but interrogations about leadership performance in Nigeria have gone beyond the provincial level.

Where we are now, the question on the leap of every well meaning Nigerian is, who will mount the saddle of national political leadership of Nigeria after the incumbent president and against the backdrop of the several challenges that have put the nation on the precipe.

Of course, there are many angles to the debate but there is a convergence. This is that whether the next President will come from the Southeast, as is being  advocated in some quarters, or the Southwest or, indeed from the Northern, Nigerians, must go for their next leader with their head, that is, beyond the emotions and sentiments that were hitherto at play when the incumbent was first elected in 2015 and re-elected in 2019.

Take two criteria. One, democratic credentials and the other, age. There is a general consensus of opinion within and outside Nigeria that one of the major reasons President Muhammadu Buhari has performed below expectations is that he is not a democrat. It is believe in many quarters that the main reason many political issues have remained unresolved since  he emerged are traceable to the president’s unwillingness to abide by democratic norms. Then take the second. Not a few have expressed the view that President Buhari’s lackluster performance is also as a result of frailty of age. The president has had to switch off from governance, from time to time, to look after his health. Even when he is on sit, it is not a hidden matter that he does not exude the level of energy and gusto needed to govern a country like Nigeria.

For the PDP as the major opposition party, Nigerians and indeed the international community have 'shined their eyes', watching how it either grabs the opportunity that has divinely presented itself or fritters it on the altar of negative party politicking. Two events will define PDP's readiness to taking the reins of power - the party's National Convention slated for October 2021 to elect its national officers and then its Presidential Convention expected to hold sometime in October 2022 to elect its Presidential flagbearer.

Their is no controversy about the fact that Nigerians are waiting for the PDP, they are also mindful of who they repose their mandate.

This government is incompetent and reprehensible and the vice-president is not an exception - Comedian, Mr Macaroni

Comedian Mr Macaroni has lashed out at the Buhari-led administration over an alleged incompetence.

The Instagram comedian who was reacting to the recent attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) by suspected bandits and the widespread insecurity in the country, recalled how he had high hopes that Osinbajo would bring about positive change in the country’s socio-political landscape in 2015. Catholic Prayers

Mr Macaroni stated that those who defend the vice-president always admit that the government is incompetent with excuses like "as much as the VP wants to make things work, he has no power to."

He reiterated that this present government is a failure and the Vice-President is not an exception. According to him, terrorists are being pampered and forgiven while innocent citizens are being targeted, threatened and even killed.

The comedian maintained that Buhari rode into office as a savior and heavily criticized Goodluck Jonathan on insecurity.

He tweeted;

Today we are all in the mess.
I knew how some Yoruba people even their actors and artist were campaigning against Jonathan.
