Isuata: Please, do you have any inkling of the required qualifications? |

Iyawe247: Maybe now you'll understand being smart just isn't enough in this country. Even when it's enough, you'd have to be 10 times better than everyone else. I was at the interview, I can tell you matter of factly there are persons who didn't go there yet will get the job. The said persons told me that and considering the people they know, they'll get the job. |

NMUniversity: The modified bit of your text changes everything. Even you got to admit without it, it made the whole process appeared..... I hopefully await. |

DrMeroThaEmperor: Last week, I was told by a Friend the interview would happen on the Ist of March, clandestinely. I didn't believe it and the NMU representative countered it. Well, it's happening on the first alright and EVERYONE is invited, all 30,000 or more. I am now somewhat inclined to give ear to my source. |

NMUniversity: Perfect. I didn't think so too. I had to bring it here so I could forward the response to him. Thanks. |

NMUniversity: So, I've been told some underground interviews would happen at NMU next week. Is that true? |

writeprof: True. I was more surprised by the community though. I expected zinc and thatched houses. Yeah, I kinda stereotyped them already, my bad. Lol. I hope this works out for us all. Lord knows we, I need this. 1 Like |

Ocheinstein: Here's what I think, they'd need to sort all of those sent recommendation letters by attaching them to the corresponding applications. I believe the decison by most people to send it along with their application was the prudent one. Just my thoughts. 1 Like |

Ocheinstein:it's a bit of both. For instance, an application without the 3 referees letter is filed as 'incomplete' and put aside. I am no authority on the process, I just happen to be an observant person. So, those were my observations. 1 Like |

Ocheinstein: Lol. You lot made it seem like it was not big deal, no? Anyhoo, It was delivered. While I was there, I saw the ones delivered and others being delivered. Be sure your documents are intact though, else, it will be tossed. The documents delivered by courier could be at least 5000 by my estimate. IF the staff are dedicated enough to even open all of it, I doubt anyone would have the time to call you to point out errors or whatever. As far as delivery go, I believe they were. 2 Likes |

seyialabi: Like I said, There are other things I'd rather not type here and I also mentioned it might be nothing to you. But you're right...we should all hope for the best irrespective of means of submission. 1 Like |

seyialabi: It's probably nothing to you...The staff there are extremely kind and patient. They take their time to open up and go through your documents, let you know if there are certain corrections to be made and help rearrange if the need be. For instance, I applied for lecturer 2 but going through my documents, the guy made me understand I am more suited for lecturer 1. I had to retype the whole thing. Same with most people there. I mean, a guy came in from kaduna to submit his application...kaduna to warri is far enough and we spent at least 1hr on water. Some people just know what they want. I too once travelled from the south South to A.B.U zaria to submit an application. While it's no job guarantee, I felt at peace knowing where my documents went and enjoyed the experience. There are things I'd rather not talk about but if you are close enough...go there, pick out your document from the parcel section(yes, it got delivered)and submit it YOURSELF. You'll understand better then. Again, it's probably nothing. Overall, I think the recruitment process will be very fair. The community is a beautiful one too. 2 Likes |

NMUniversity: I could only get 2 recommendation letters from my referees, the third person is currently unavailable but can be reached by phone if the need should arise. Can I go ahead with the application submission with just the two? I am totally bummed by it. 1 Like |

It's your body and the decision to share it lies solely with you. Whatever your reasons are, he agreed to abstinence...not your problem. However, give it time, you might grow to actually long for him. cheers. |
