Heard the University begins a new Academic session, mid April. Uptill now, I haven't heard anything or seen anyone contacted from the interview conducted. Pls what's d update?@ NMU Admin.

Maybe now you'll understand being smart just isn't enough in this country. Even when it's enough, you'd have to be 10 times better than everyone else.

I was at the interview, I can tell you matter of factly there are persons who didn't go there yet will get the job. The said persons told me that and considering the people they know, they'll get the job.

What was countered was the fact that YOU SAID INTERVIEW WERE GOING TO HOLD UNDERGROUND.

Making the whole process worthless and corrupt.

The modified bit of your text changes everything. Even you got to admit without it, it made the whole process appeared.....

I hopefully await.

I really don't understand this. EVERY APPLICANT

Last week, I was told by a Friend the interview would happen on the Ist of March, clandestinely. I didn't believe it and the NMU representative countered it.

Well, it's happening on the first alright and EVERYONE is invited, all 30,000 or more. I am now somewhat inclined to give ear to my source.

With NMU, there is NO underground dealings!

Shortlisting just got concluded. We would have sent out interview invitations by now but for jamb that wants everything about admission concluded swiftly because they are prepping for 2018/2019 examination soon.

By Saturday we would have rounded off the admission process and focus on the interview.

This is a pressured multi tasking situation for us over here and for anyone to wake up from his slippery slumber, without the full picture of what is really going on, and concoct this kind of blatant crude brew, is the height of mischief in a calculated myopic lenses.

Don't listen to lies nor waste your time with such people.

Perfect. I didn't think so too. I had to bring it here so I could forward the response to him.

Thanks.

Check under faculty of Transport, can't see it?

So, I've been told some underground interviews would happen at NMU next week.

Is that true?

In short, I agree with you that those guys are really patient and diligent in attending to applicants. I really commend them.

True.

I was more surprised by the community though. I expected zinc and thatched houses. Yeah, I kinda stereotyped them already, my bad. Lol.

I hope this works out for us all. Lord knows we, I need this.

That's serious. But you know that our referees may not have time to even write these letters as at when we need them. How do we then ensure that the whole letters arrive as at when needed? Like mine, I have sent two, the last one is to be sent by Monday.

Here's what I think, they'd need to sort all of those sent recommendation letters by attaching them to the corresponding applications.

I believe the decison by most people to send it along with their application was the prudent one.

Just my thoughts.

Thanks bro. But when u talk of errors, what exactly are we looking at? Grammatical, or mal-arrangement of documents in a certain fashion?
it's a bit of both. For instance, an application without the 3 referees letter is filed as 'incomplete' and put aside.
I am no authority on the process, I just happen to be an observant person. So, those were my observations.

It is my sincere hope that we that sent via courier service will have our letters delivered. My earnest prayers...

Lol. You lot made it seem like it was not big deal, no?

Anyhoo, It was delivered. While I was there, I saw the ones delivered and others being delivered.

Be sure your documents are intact though, else, it will be tossed. The documents delivered by courier could be at least 5000 by my estimate. IF the staff are dedicated enough to even open all of it, I doubt anyone would have the time to call you to point out errors or whatever.

As far as delivery go, I believe they were.

Ok thanks. You made it look something before. All the best.

Like I said, There are other things I'd rather not type here and I also mentioned it might be nothing to you.
But you're right...we should all hope for the best irrespective of means of submission.

What explanation can you give sir? Let's know our fate, those of us that used courier services already. If we might need to resend

It's probably nothing to you...The staff there are extremely kind and patient. They take their time to open up and go through your documents, let you know if there are certain corrections to be made and help rearrange if the need be.
For instance, I applied for lecturer 2 but going through my documents, the guy made me understand I am more suited for lecturer 1. I had to retype the whole thing. Same with most people there. I mean, a guy came in from kaduna to submit his application...kaduna to warri is far enough and we spent at least 1hr on water. Some people just know what they want. I too once travelled from the south South to A.B.U zaria to submit an application. While it's no job guarantee, I felt at peace knowing where my documents went and enjoyed the experience.

There are things I'd rather not talk about but if you are close enough...go there, pick out your document from the parcel section(yes, it got delivered)and submit it YOURSELF. You'll understand better then.

Again, it's probably nothing.

Overall, I think the recruitment process will be very fair. The community is a beautiful one too.

Presently at the NMU after 55minutes on the sea in a speedboat. The experience is cool. Submission is going on smoothly.

I went there, submitted today and finally understood why that guy kept insisting it's better to go there yourself. Thank God I didn't use delivery services.

Oh! Great.

I just got into warri, hopefully it will be easy from here to the university and all worth it in the end.

The Deer needs no schooling in the act of locating brooks in the depth of the desert.

Maritime is essentially about sea navigation and all it's attendant accessories show some navigating prowess people.

I could only get 2 recommendation letters from my referees, the third person is currently unavailable but can be reached by phone if the need should arise. Can I go ahead with the application submission with just the two?

I am totally bummed by it.

It's your body and the decision to share it lies solely with you. Whatever your reasons are, he agreed to abstinence...not your problem. However, give it time, you might grow to actually long for him. cheers.
