Must you copy the white man

Thats y they treat u like trash coz you are always licking their ass

NOT about copying them, bro. How about the Ghanaian cedi? We say "cedis" (plural)—for cedi amounts greater than 1 cedi.

We say "euros". We say "pounds". We say "rands" (South Africa)... for money amounts greater than "1.0" unit of these currencies.

For me, there's no wisdom or logic in keeping a naira quantity over one naira as a singular naira.

TruthMustBeTold:
Hi there,
I need a quality and highly competent writer to work with me on a couple of long terms project. We will be writing for an American audience, so I cannot overstate the need for top-level writing as any sub par work will be outright turned down without payment.
Work is steady and interesting. I will pay #2/word and payment comes in just a few minutes after you deliver the final draft.
P.S. I don't expect to micro-manage you, so if you are not sure of your writing skills, don't bother to apply. POOR DELIVERIES WILL BE REJECTED AND NOT BE PAID FOR!

Hi.

If you still need a writer, I can meet your demands.

My approach: straight-to-the-point and use of easily understood words. And, I won't waste your time.

Thank you.

We say, "1000 dollars."
(dollars -- PLURAL)

We say, "1000 euros."
(euros -- PLURAL)

We say, "1000 cedis."
(cedis -- PLURAL)

And so on.

But we don't say, "1000 nairas."

Rather, we say, "1000 naira."
(naira -- SINGULAR)

Why?
