Politics / Re: Gej Nailed Finally- Okah Spills The Bin! by ElOcho: 11:25am On Oct 06, 2010
some people should stop making comments on issues they know nothing about.Inasmuch as they try to deceive themselves into seeing logic in their reasoning,careful analysis of their comments boil down to two things;
1.exonerating IBB, and
2.making GEJ appear culpable.
don't play the blame game.let's just hope this isn't one of those issues in Nigeria that would get buried!
Nigerians are no longer fools.even an evil genius should be wise enough to know that.

It looks like someone wants to prove he can move with the trend.long ago, maradona was the world's living football legend and now there's another one in the making- a Messi.that someone definitely wants to upgrade to the status of a Messi.
No need to mention names but let them all realise that Nigerians are no longer fools to be deceived by claims and counter-claims.GEJ said this,IBB said this,Okah said that. This scenario has IBB written all over it,using the power of the media, but then I still leave room to believe that the real culprit is someone in the shadows that stands to benefit if these top two gunning for the presidency are dragged down.
But then this is a carefully and expertly written script,(worthy of an oscar-Spielberg and Bruckheimer no-doubt agree) and the delivery of the script by the actors is so beautiful that it leaves all who follow it in a state of awe.
Let's desist from insulting each other and taking sides.these actors aren't even worth it!

Yeah I have lots of collection of Rock songs and Gospel songs. And Yes there are Gospel CD's sold here in Nigeria. If you need them, then you need buy off from me just inbox me what you may need. (roundglasses@gmail.com).

And Thanks to Amya, sure you can play for us on that day, am also hoping to start a Radio rock show dedicated to rockians (meaning naija rock fans).

The song for today is Nickelback '' IF TODAY WAS YOUR LAST DAY'' . PLS ENJOY,

''My best friend gave me the best advice
He said each day's a gift and not a given right
Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind
And try to take the path less traveled by
That first step you take is the longest stride

If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last
Leave old pictures in the past?
Donate every dime you had, if today was your last day?
What if, what if, if today was your last day?

Against the grain should be a way of life
What's worth the price is always worth the fight
Every second counts 'cause there's no second try
So live like you're never living twice
Don't take the free ride in your own life

If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past?
Donate every dime you had?

And would you call those friends you never see?
Reminisce old memories?
Would you forgive your enemies?
And would you find that one you're dreaming of?
Swear up and down to God above
That you'd finally fall in love if today was your last day?

If today was your last day
Would you make your mark by mending a broken heart?
You know it's never too late to shoot for the stars
Regardless of who you are

So do whatever it takes
'Cause you can't rewind a moment in this life
Let nothing stand in your way
'Cause the hands of time are never on your side

If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past?
Donate every dime you had?

And would you call those friends you never see?
Reminisce old memories?
Would you forgive your enemies?
And would you find that one you're dreaming of
Swear up and down to God above
That you'd finally fall in love if today was your last day?
nice one.i particularly enjoyed that track together with gotta be somebody, i'd come for u,and never gonna be alone.though i still think dark horse didnt live-up to expectation compared to nickelback's other albums.

i don't really know what i'd do without rock/alternative music. there really is something special about this genre.
it's nice to know that a lot of naija folks now appreciate rock music. i fell in love with it before i knew what its called
the following bands rock my world in no particular order of preference:

the cranberries( dolores o'riordan is a goddess)
within temptation
five for fighting
switchfoot
coldplay
hinhder
boys like girls
natalie imbruglia
sarah mclachlan
lene merlin
googoo dolls

the list is really endless. i'm loving this thread

nice list there especially googoo dolls and boys like girls.hinder too.

many Nigerian artistes are embracing rock too but most of them are in the christian genre.
try listening to Iyke Onka, i think he is the best rock has to offer in Nigeria, also others like Frank Edwards, Eben, Etcetera(the only serious non-christian rock artiste i know off).
coupla years ago there was Damian and this guy i think Darken Daniels(something like that). then there was Fad Abasi (with afro rock), and Sgt. Plus with his collabo with Jeremiah Gyang.
i still have problems not associating Asa with rock though.

hi guys
first time on this thread.really love what y'all are doing concerning rock music.
did i mention that 98% of thesongs on my laptyop are rock?i have an entire 500GB harddisk dedicated to rock music and movies alone.nice collections you guys have been posting but i'm yet to hear mention of Daughtry, David Cook and even groups like Paramore.try listening to Hoobastank's good enough and running away;and then u might agree with me that they are one of the best lyricists.
anyway still wondering why all this fuss about rock music, next time you are seeing a movie, not nollywood or any of those pure black american movies, take your time to notice the soundtracks for those movies. 98% are rock.verdict-Rock rules. grin
