For all the Igbos here? Do you consider yourself to be originally from Ethiopia? How does this affect you? |
Culture / Re: Igbos Originally From Ethiopia by ElodyAnn(m): 4:45pm On Jul 07, 2007 |
It is estimated that Igbos are a mixture of bantu and fulani people, being half descended from the original igbo male bantu stock and half descended from fulani women. The fulani emigrated from ethiopia and some of the bantu igbo men married fulani wives. |
Culture / Tiv People Are People From East African Descent by ElodyAnn(m): 3:41pm On Jul 07, 2007 |
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiv The Tiv are an ethno-linguistic group or ethnic nation in West Africa. The Tiv constitute approximately 2.5 percent of Nigeria's total population, and number upward of 2.2 million individuals throughout Nigeria and Cameroon[1]. The Tiv's traditional lands are in the Nigerian states of Benue, Taraba, and Nasarawa in Eastern Nigeria. Many members of the Tiv group can trace their ancestry to East Africa, northern Morocco, Spain and Portugal. They are considered to be one of the Bantuiod tribes. |

Which would explain their relatively light skin complexion and business sense. What say you. They are not indigenous to Nigeria. |

Ezinwannem: Yes but she is not fully Igbo. Since most fully Nigerian women are ugly this would not be a surprise. |

Toni is sexy, Beyonce is pretty LOL. But none can compare to someone like the ancient beauty of Nefertiti: or the beautiful Liya Kebede. |

Culture / Re: Ancient Igbos Built Pyramids! by ElodyAnn(m): 2:28pm On May 10, 2007 |
Stop it. The ancient Egyptians were of Hamitic stock. It is extremely unlikely, near to impossible for an Igbo or anyone in Africa outside of the East African population (cradle of mankind) to have built any pyramids. Stop trying to take the credit for something that is not yours. |
