Politics / Adeboye Calls Fayose ‘voice Of Nigerians’ Slams APC by Elose11(m): 9:36pm On Oct 15, 2018
Bola Bolawole, an Area Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has condemned the attack on the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, over his visit to the out going governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose.

General Overseer of RCCG Worldwide, Pastor E.A Adeboye is a man of God and spiritual mentor to millions of people all over the world. He is a man of honour, wisdom, meekness and humility. Adeboye has impacted millions of life with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In an opinion he released on Monday titled, ‘APC’s scurrilous attack on Adeboye’, Bolawole revealed what led to the visit of Pastor Adeboye to Fayose and what transpired at the meeting.

“As is characteristic of him, Adeboye prayed for Fayose, who had knelt down before him for prayer. Fayose is not the first Nigerian VIP to have so coveted Adeboye’s prayers. Presidents and other governors had done so, including former President Goodluck Jonathan and the current President, Muhammadu Buhari. Outside our shores, the immediate past Prime Minister of Britain, David Cameron, attended an RCCG programme in London and came forward to be prayed for by Pastor Adeboye.

“However, the prayers that Adeboye said for Fayose has drawn the ire of the chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Mr. Jide Awe. Awe not only blew his top but also threw caution to the winds, making highfalutin statements, levelling unsubstantiated allegations, and calling the revered Pastor names that must alarm every right-thinking person.

“Whereas I am an Area Pastor in the RCCG, it need be stated that the views expressed here are entirely mine and by no means represent those of Adeboye and or of the authorities of the RCCG. And I enjoy the guarantees and protection of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and other extant laws.

“First, a recap of Adeboye’s prayers for Fayose as was reported in the media: ‘We thank God for your courage, for your boldness. We thank God for your being willing to take risks so that your people can be protected. You have been a governor who knows when to say ‘enough is enough’ in defence of his people. And I am sure you know what I am talking about and I am sure the world knows.

‘I don’t want to say more than that but be assured that we are praying for you and you will succeed in Jesus name. We wish all other governors who stand for their people, who defend their people and who know when to say ‘enough is enough’, success. We thank God for their life”. I wasn’t there but I suspect that the entire congregation must have chorused “Amen”!

“For this prayer said not only for Fayose but also for all governors who live up to their oath of office to stand up in defence of their people, Awe accused Adeboye of supporting what he called Fayose’s persistent insults on Buhari. Awe also tried to drive a wedge between the RCCG members and the pastor we all lovingly call “Daddy G. O.”

“He alleged that Fayose must have bribed Adeboye since, according to him, the Ekiti governor was capable of bribing angels. So, Awe had seen angels receive bribes before – in what currency, he only is in the best position to say! He then attempted to set the family of the late founder of the RCCG, Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, against Adeboye by asking them to caution the pastor so he would not, in his myopic reasoning, tarnish the legacy of their father.

“However hard they try to conceal the truth, it will be out; so did Awe finally expose himself when he expressed the wish that Adeboye ought to be a supporter of the ruling APC since Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is a senior pastor in RCCG!

“Awe’s statement has done incalculable damage to the APC. He was uncouth. He brought no finesse to bear at all. He must have thought he was engaged in the usual banality between politicians where they trade abuses and insults and retire afterwards to throw banters; plot new assaults; and pick the next target.

“The APC owes itself a world of good to do damage control by disowning the said Awe and his scurrilous statements; otherwise, it will pay a heavy price for this down the road. Adeboye did not in the least deserve the assault on him by the Ekiti APC chairman. For one, many eminent Nigerians, spiritual and temporal, have made more damning statements about the state of affairs of the country.

“For another, Adeboye only spoke the truth: whether we like it or not, Fayose is the recognised face of the Nigerian opposition today and the voice of the voiceless. This is a fact which Adeboye merely recognised. He did not create it. Coincidentally, the wobbling APC government created the situation that Fayose is exploiting to the hilt.

“Fayose is not the only one who could have taken advantage of the situation but up to this point, he is the only one doing so as he is about to face the Economic and financial crimes commission after handing over to the new Governor of Ekiti state.

NYSC / A Retired NYSC Director Response To Saraki NYSC Certificate Status by Elose11(m): 7:07pm On Sep 18, 2018
On Saraki's NYSC Certificate

Whatever the motive behind this misinformation l wish to state that Dr. Bukola Saraki served his NYSC when I was the Director of NYSC Lagos State in1989.

He came into the service as a foreign trained graduate. He obtained MBBS from UK.

I could still remember that I approved his request for re-imbursement of his flight ticket from London because it was the practice at that time.

I am sure his NYSC certificate should be with him because he was duly discharged from the scheme. Please, take note that he did not ask me to make this brief on his behalf.

I did so as a responsible citizen to prevent the misinformation from going viral However, this is not the first time l would be correcting this misinformation. I did the same on the radio and newspapers on the eve of the gubernatorial election in 2003.

I totally disagree with you, the binis and of course the eschan I am not sure I got the spelling correct, these two people are the worst Nigerians I have ever met. While I was in Nigeria I never had anything to do with them until I came to Germany. They always make noise, break all the laws put in place by german government, they impregnate their women with reckless abandon. They cross through the Mediterranean Sea to come here to constitute nuisance. I don't want to say that I hate them with a boiling passion, let me say I hate their character. So in essence bini country will be a time bomb waiting to happen so perish that thought brother.
Ooh boy if you think going to Germany by sea na mai mai, try am!! The Binis are some of the most resilient tribe in Nigeria. They have survived before Nigeria became a nation and will survive if Nigeria ceases to exist.

Reading some people's post here tells me how sad history is no more taught in our schools. For those who knows there history, the Binis have existed more than 800 years before the nation Nigeria came into existence. Now ask yourself how did they survive then?
Asking how an empire, that at the zenith of its power, stretched from most of present day Igbo land, through most of present day Niger delta to as far as present day Ghana will survive if Nigeria, it predated, disintegrate is the height if ignorance.

Politics / APC In Kaduna Suspends Senator Shehu Sani by Elose11(m): 12:03pm On Aug 02, 2018
The Tudun-Wada north chapter of the
All Progressive Congress (APC) has suspended the Senator representing
Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani.
In a statement signed by its chairman, Ibrahim Salisu Togo, Tudun-Wada north chapter of the APC insisted that their decision was based on the constitution of the party.
Read statement in full:
“We, the Tudun Wada North (Ward 6) Exco of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kaduna South Local Government Area wish to affirm our decision on the indefinite suspension of Senator Shehu Sani. This affirmation was informed by the need for updating the general public and the good people of Kaduna State regarding our collective resolve.
“We make bold to say. that our decision was based on the provisions 0 the constitution of our great party. Therefore, Senator Shehu Sani remains suspended. In all fairness to the party and Kaduna State voters. the only pre-condition for lining this suspension on Senator Shehu Sani is for the lawmaker to openly apologize to the leadership of our great party for his various acts of misconduct and disrespectful attitudes towards both his constituents, party leadership and his vicious media attacks against our amiable President Muhammadu Buhari.
“He should also apologize to the Government and people of Kaduna State for frustrating the $350 million loan meant to develop the State in the areas of Education . Healthcare delivery, Works and Housing, Women and Youth Empowerment among others.
“We cannot justify the pain to which the disappointed voters of Kaduna State have been subjected by the Senator’s uncooperative and selfish attitude over the World Bank loan.
“We wish to also seize this opportunity to stress our allegiance and respect for the leadership of our great party at all levels. We also identify fully with the developmental strides of Governor Nasir El-Rufai led administration in many areas, especially infrastructure.
“We call on all loyal members of our great party in Kaduna State, to sustain the tempo of their respect for the Ride of Law and to the leadership of the pony as well the APC administration in the state.

Politics / APC: Pressure Mounts On Buhari To Remove Oshiomhole As National Chairman by Elose11(m): 9:52pm On Jul 23, 2018
The conflicts ravaging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is drawing the party to the depth of uncertainties in the build up to the 2019 general elections. The defection threat of the Reformed APC has been giving President Muhammadu Buhari and members of the CPC legacy party faction serious headache.

National Daily investigation revealed that President Buhari, CPC members and other segments of the Buhari team in the party were shocked by the resistance of R-APC leaders to juicy offers which include automatic ticket, appointments, alleged oil bloc allocations being made by the President. The Buhari team had thought that such tempting offers would have done the job for them in forestalling the defection of the R-APC.
National Daily findings indicate that President Buhari and his inner caucus are working out a new formula for consideration. They are weighing the political capital of the APC national chairman, Adam Oshiomhole, and the political assets of members of the R-APC in the conflicts; considering what they stand to lose or gain from accepting one and abandoning the other.
President Buhari had previously sacrificed former APC national chairman, chief john Odigie-Oyegun at the APC National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja in a political calculation many believed was aimed at appeasing APC national leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu. The President had at an earlier NEC meeting endorsed the extension of the tenure of Oyegun and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) after consultations with APC governors and State Chairmen across the 36 states of the Federation to reach that resolution. There was bickering from Tinubu that the tenure elongation does not comply with the rule of law and provisions of APC constitution, admonishing that several APC members are already in courts challenging the decision and other controversial issues in the party.
One month later, President Buhari reversed that decision, acknowledging that it does not comply with the rule of law. The tenure elongation of the Oyegun-led NWC was cancelled and the party commenced plans for a national convention to elect new NWC members. Oyegun, was accordingly, sacrificed in exchange of renewed fraternity with Tinubu.
At the weekend, Buhari and the CPC group were said to be considering the political risk of losing the mass R-APC members and what they brought to the party or losing Oshiomhole who was sponsored by Tinubu for the national chairman.
The R-APC was considered to command huge votes in the North in addition to the votes their allies from the South control. The pressure from the CPC faction was said to be on president Buhari to intensify ways to stop R-APC from defection, even if it means removing Oshiomhole as APC national chairman as being demanded by the R-APC leaders who have gone to court to seek Oshiomhole’s removal.
A party source revealed to National Daily that Oshiomhole got hint of the plot, which compelled him to rush to the residence of Buba Galadima, R-APC national chairman at the weekend for urgent appeal to save his job.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that the meeting will continue this week and that the final resolution will soon be made public.

Politics / Buhari Confused, Left Nigeria Adrift ―obasanjo by Elose11(m): 6:44pm On Jul 18, 2018
FORMER President Olusegun Obasanjo has observed that the administration of President Muhammadu is confused and has left Nigeria perilously adrift.
His observation came as leaders and elders of major socio-political groups met in Abuja on Wednesday to fashion a way out of what they said is a leadership failure which they observed had led to unabated killings across the country.

The summit was at the instance of Northern Elders Forum (NEF) led by former Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof. Ango Abdullahi.

Other participants were Ohanaze Ndigbo, Afenifere, Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) and North East Forum for Unity and Development, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) and New Generation Representatives (NGR).

The former president was represented by former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who read the president’s letter originally addressed to Prof. Ango as the Convener of the summit.

Obasanjo who said he could not be physically present because of a prior engagement in China, recalled how he and Ango during the NEF’s chairman visit to him weeks ago, had deliberated on “the danger to our democracy, our common identity, our commonality of purpose, our dream and our unity in diversity.”

The former president said: “We lamented the harm that the present Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, by his action and inaction, has done and is doing to our commonwealth and our common heritage.

“Nigeria, in recent times, has not been so divided along religious and regional lines as at today with inexcusable killings and devastating poverty and with Government’s wringing hands and apparently incompetent to stem the tide except giving one unrighteous and unacceptable justification after the order.

“The obvious indication is that the Government is seemingly confused and has got to the end of its tether and the nation is being left divisively and perilously to drift.

“Earlier last week, I noted in a speech some undesirable elements being allowed and being introduced to our democracy by this Administration.

“If these are not stopped, they could be the death knell of our democracy. In spite of this unfortunate situatioris created by the Government my contact and consultation, which brought me face-to-face with people plights and frustration, also gave me hope.

“People are not ready to give up in despair and leave their fate and their present and future in the hands of inept leadership for their lives to be ruined.

“I see common concern across the nation irrespective of tribe, religion, region, language and social standing that the situation should be retrieved and the nation should be saved

“My dear brother and friend, Ango, this is why I strongly believe that this meeting, which is beyond politics, beyond religion, beyond economics, beyond status, is for saving the heart and soul of our nation through non- partisan and all-embracing participation to dialogue for our present and our future.

“Because we do not dialogue enough, most of us live in ignorance of one another, burdened and influenced by received prejudices, biases and twisted history.

“The time has come when we should constantly dialogue among ourselves at different levels to inform, educate and enlighten ourselves and dispel bad influences.

“A lot of misgivings, misunderstanding, misperception, misrepresentation, erroneous beliefs and outdated ideas and concepts can be cleared and a lot can be achieved.

“This “Dialogues Amongst Ourselves”, which are starting today, must not be a once-and-for-all affair. We must dialogue often for our collective progress.

“And I have no doubt that this first one will be a huge success. We are in dialogue because we are concerned for our country.

“I will hold myself ready to lead the holding and hosting of the next one at our end after due consultation with you and with others.

“Dialogue removes tensions, clears the air, leads to sharing views and to understand one another’s point of view. It promotes concord, harmony, cohesion, peace, security, inclusiveness, development and progress. It enthrones justice and equity and removes impunity.”

Politics / News Analysis: Fayose Fails A Simple Leadership Test… Olawale Olaleye by Elose11(m): 2:01pm On Jul 13, 2018
Away from the recent show of shame in Ekiti State, the opportunity to pass a vital leadership lesson was lost in that inauspicious occasion. It is therefore important that Governor Ayodele Fayose’s attention is drawn to this leadership hara-kiri, in a language he most definitely understands.
In 2008, when the late Madiba, Nelson Mandela turned 90 years, a former Managing Director of Time Magazine, Richard Stengel, a close but younger friend of Mandela, did a piece in commemoration of that milestone, where he articulated some eight leadership lessons of Mandela. I find the first lesson: “Courage is not the absence of fear – it’s inspiring others to move beyond it” profound and instructive.
He recalled that in 1994, he had gone with Mandela to campaign in the killing field of Natal, preparatory to his election as President of South Africa. Some 20 minutes from landing, one of the engines of their plane, a tiny propeller jet, failed. Some of those on the plane naturally began to fret, but the only thing that calmed them was Mandela’s demeanor. He was unfazed as he quietly read his newspaper.
Notified ahead, the airport had prepared for an emergency landing, and the pilot managed to land the plane safely. When Mandela and Stengel got in the backseat of his bulletproof BMW, which took them to the rally, Madiba turned to Stengel and said, “Man, I was terrified up there!”
Truth is Mandela was human and often afraid too, when confronted with difficult situations. During his time underground, the Rivonia trial that led to his imprisonment and his time on Robben Island, he worried as much as those who were concerned about him.
“Of course, I was afraid. I can’t pretend that I’m brave and that I can beat the whole world. But as a leader, you cannot let people know. You must put up a front,” he told a stunned Stengel.
I posted a video of Collin Powel, a retired four-star general and former US Secretary of State a few days ago, where he spoke about essential leadership and one of the things he identified was putting up front particularly as a military officer, who must never let his battalion down. If he was hungry or afraid, he could not show it, because many looked up to him, more so out of curiosity, he said.
A few months ago, I was stuck in an elevator with the Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi at a prominent Lagos hotel. The malfunctioning elevator had taken us to the basement, where network was zero – no signal at all. After about 13 minutes in that ‘dungeon’ surrounded by concrete bricks only, the elevator became stifling with about 10 of us in there and I started to panic.
Of course, we later found help. But all through, Amaechi was calm and was rather pondering options. Days after, someone tried to make jest of me and quickly, Amaechi shut him up and explained that he too was worried but had to offer leadership at that time, because had help not come when it did (and thanks to me for finding service through which we reached out), we could die of suffocation. We were already sweating bad.
Fayose failed many of his supporters and admirers. It would be difficult for anyone to still stick out their neck for him any longer. If a whole governor, an Irumole (a deity), who admonishes his people to dare oppression and go all out to confront their fears, could weep shamelessly on national television, then, it would be OYO for whoever takes heed of his prodding.
In a second thought, however, you may pardon him because his trajectory in life does not show he has any history of profound struggle. It is not the same as being a deviant or taking liberty at constituting nuisance at every stop.
For me, that’s not how to lead. Fayose has left the courage of many completely debilitated and may be unable to recover from this infantile display of cowardice.

Politics / Is Eniola Fayose, Owner Of Company Printing Ballot Papers, Related To Ekiti Gov? by Elose11(m): 4:34pm On Jul 10, 2018
On Monday, operatives of the Lagos state police command announced that it raided a printing press where election materials for Ekiti state governorship election were being printed.
Two people were arrested in the premises of O’Naphtali Company Limited in the Gbagada area of the state. Imohimi Edgal, the state commissioner of police, identified the owner of the press as Eniola Fayose.
The police commisioner, however, added that preliminary investigations showed the company is said to be in a contractual agreement with the Ekiti state Independent Electoral Commission to print materials for the election.
Coincidentally, Eniola bears the same surname with Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti.
The development has sent tongues wagging with some alleging that Eniola is a relative of Fayose who has endorsed Kolapo Olusola, his deputy, to succeed him.
Here are few comments on Twitter:

WHO IS ENIOLA FAYOSE?

TheCable did a background check and discovered that contrary to speculations, Eniola is not related to Fayose.
Based in Lagos, he has been running O’Naphtali Company Limited as its managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) for years. Although from Ekiti, the entrepreneur and the governor are from different local government areas.
While he hails from Ikere-Ekiti the governor is from Afao-Ekiti.
In an interview with Daily Sun , the man said he is in no way related to Fayose. According to him, “the name Fayose is an Ekiti name. But then, I am not in any way related to the governor.”
A graduate of the University of Ibadan, he is a fellow of various bodies including Quality Management Development Institute, Institute of Direct Marketing, Institute of Chartered Management Accountants and Institute of Brand Management of Nigeria.
With the governorship election just four days away, it is important to put information in proper perspective to avoid unnecessary tension and overheat polity.

On May 27, 2015, the immediate past failed Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi made very disheartening comments about the incoming administration of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike .

Amaechi said, ” I’m not joking, we have no money anywhere. In Rivers State, no money. I think Nyesom Wike is coming, we are waiting. He will look for money for salary; there is none. But when he pays out salary, we will see if any of them can do what we did in this state: whether they can build the schools, the roads, even to get a loan”.

He had looted Rivers State dry. Raped her accounts beyond measures and crippled the finances of the state. Amaechi was so ashamed of his looting that he could not prepare a hand-over note.

After the prophecy of doom above, he ran to Abuja to await news of the collapse of Rivers State. He was sighted at the Eagle Square happily playing the talking drum in anticipation of the failure of Governor Wike.

Since May 29, 2015, Amaechi has been waiting in vain. Rather than hear news of despair, he is hearing daily reports of celebration. Rather than hear tales of woe, he has been hearing stories of endless commissioning of projects.

The Third Year Anniversary Celebration of the Wike administration has become a major headache to the immediate past failed Rivers State Governor. Since May 23, 2018 Governor Wike has been rolling out key projects across the three senatorial districts.

As a statesman, Governor Wike has made it a point of duty to invite leaders from all political divides and interest groups to commission projects as part of the Third Year Anniversary Celebration. Former President Goodluck Jonathan, Former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto, Obi of Onitsha, Oni of Ife, Former Plateau State Governor, Jonah David Jang, Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara top the list of those who have commissioned major projects in the five weeks.

At the weekend, a frightened Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi received a chieftaincy title at Elele. This time, his testimony has changed.

From Wike is doing nothing to Wike is commissioning projects that he (Amaechi) has executed up to 90percent. I like to see the positive side of everything, even the lies of a failed politician.

At least, Amaechi has admitted that Governor Wike has been paying monthly salaries and pensions, including the four months arrears of salaries and six months of pensions that he used in sponsoring the APC National Campaign.

For the first time, he admitted that Governor Wike is working, even though he tried in vain to belittle the work.

Amaechi’s gnashing of teeth on the Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway and Bridge commissioned by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara is uncalled for. He abandoned the bridge at less than 30percent and the contractor fled the site because the contract was not funded. This was acknowledged by Governor Wike during the commissioning of bridge and road.

Let me rehash a background of the all-important Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway and Bridge that is giving Amaechi sleepless nights.

For two years running, the Nigerian Guild of Editors held their Annual General Conference in Rivers State. They were opportuned to see the different stages of the Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway and Bridge first hand.

The Guild of Editors were opportuned to witness significantly, the progression of this major Inter-Change, abandoned at less 20 percent completion by the immediate past failed Amaechi administration .

On July 30, 2016, Governor Wike led the Guild of Editors to inspect work on the Woji-Elelenwo Bridge. At this time, though the contractor had worked under the supervision of Governor Wike for over 9 months, the bridge was yet to get halfway.

From the point where the contractor had reached at the time, Governor Wike and the editors looked across the river into the virgin land and houses on the other side. It appeared as if the project will never be completed.

Aside the Nigerian Guild of Editors, another group that witnessed the progression of the Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway and Bridge was the Nigerian Bar Association. During their 56th Annual General Conference held in Port Harcourt in August 2016, Governor Wike took them on a tour of projects. The Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway and Bridge was one of the projects that was visited.

Still on that stretch is the Abuluoma-Woji Bridge which was abandoned by the previous administration at 30 percent, but completed by Governor Wike. Both projects overwhelmed the immediate past Rivers State Governor because of their scoop.

All through the last quarter of 2015 when Governor Wike consolidated the process for the completion of Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway and Bridge, the reason why the Amaechi administration fled the site was obvious. The project required commitment, strict supervision, dedicated funding and patience. That failed administration lacked all these qualities.

The Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway and Bridge was awarded by the previous administration in 2009 at N3billion. The same immediate past failed Amaechi administration revalued the road to N11billion.

It refused to fund the project after three years of inconsistency. As a result, the contractor fled the site. Nothing much was done, even though the Inter-Change was critical to free flow of traffic.

Governor Wike personally supervised the paving of the new road which links Woji-Elelenwo through to Akpajo in Eleme Local Government Area. The governor debated with the contractors at different times, insisting on the best for Rivers people.

From 2015 to 2018, the administration of Governor Wike worked round the clock to deliver this all-important project.

The project is now an architectural masterpiece. A beauty to behold and a golden manifestation of quality projects delivery. It is furnished with streetlights, flyover, under-pass, 750 meter bridge and a link road.

On June 8, 2018, the Rivers State Government delivered this brand new road to the good people of the state. It was a celebration of performance as men of goodwill gathered irrespective of party affiliation.

The Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway and Bridge was commissioned by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara. He was overwhelmed by what he saw. His joy was written on his face. The relevance of the project transcended party politics.

He saw first the hard work of a leader committed to the welfare of Rivers people. This spurred Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara to make very profound declarations.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara described the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as a refiner’s fire and a fullers’ soap, who has diligently transformed Rivers State.

He said: “This governor is a consummation of excellence. He is a representative of a refiner’s fire and a fullers soap. A refiner’s fire separates impurities from the gold and leaves the gold intact .

“Refiner’s fire brings out the best. A fullers soup removes dirts and leaves the cloth sparkling clean. I am exceedingly proud of what Governor Wike has done ”

He congratulated the people of Rivers State for the luck of having Governor Wike who is thriving in excellence.

The Speaker noted that though he belongs to the APC, as a parliamentarian, the entire country is his constituency. He noted that only tribalists are restricted to their tribes and political parties.

According to him, democracy has no place for tribalists, because they don’t value performance.

“I wonder why someone will look at this project and say nothing exists. If that is the case, the person is a tribalist. As citizens, we celebrate excellence and we must celebrate Governor Wike”, the Speaker said.

He said that in some other states, projects of the nature of Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway would be celebrated for weeks.

At the commissioning ceremony, Governor Wike explained why he invited the Speaker of the House of Representatives to commission this massive project.

“I don’t want to invite my party person to commission this project. If I do, they will say I am playing tricks. That is why I invited a leader from another party to commission it. We are committed to the welfare of Rivers people “, he said.

The Former Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi deserves our heartfelt sympathy. He set the stage for Wike to fail, but Wike jettisoned failure and is now Nigeria’s best performing governor.

He is in deep national crisis because the performance of Governor Wike is in the public domain. The appreciation is genuine and the state-wide acceptance is unprecedented.

In the face of national failure, Governor Wike has established a template for success and good governance. He has reached out the 23 Local Government Areas of Rivers State without discrimination and continues to develop projects in hitherto neglected communities.

From Ikwerreland to Ekpeye-land through to Kalabari communities down to Ijaw, Etche, Ibani, Abua-Odual, Ndoki, Okrika, Andoni, Ogoni and others, no ethnic nationality in the state has been abandoned.

That was why Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike during the flag off of Kira-Nonwa-Barayira-Sime-Eteo Road in Tai Local Government Area boldly declared:

“This is just three years and we have reached the 23 Local Government Areas. Let anyone come from any local government area , come forward to say that we have not executed project in his council.”

Rather than dwell on daily lamentations on the overwhelming success of Governor Wike, Amaechi should be honourable enough to apologise to Rivers people for stealing their resources to sponsor the worst Federal Government since the nation gained independence.

Politics / "Gaslighting", A Form Of Propaganda, Hypnotism And Witchcraft by Elose11(m): 12:59pm On Jul 06, 2018
'Gaslighting' a form of Hypnotism and witchcraft.

In this country called Nigeria, some people are paid handsomely to sit behind a keyboard and create alternative realities, against the better judgment of what we actually know and feel, and they have a mandate to consistently beat these improvised realities into our brains. You really have to believe this.

A dear senior friend of mine tells me it's a well-known mind-control mechanism in psychology called "Gaslighting." I went to check this concept up on wikipedia and was shocked at the definition. It fits our present reality as snugly as a bodybag would fit a dead body.

When you have read up the concept of "gaslighting", you would have then known that form of mind control or psychological manipulation which, according to wikipedia,: "seeks to sow seeds of doubt in a targeted group, making them question their own memory, perception and sanity. Using persistent denial, misdirection, contradiction and lying, it attempts to destabilize the target and delegititimize the target's belief." This is what is being currently practiced on Nigerians by this APC government, and it is largely succeeding.

So, even as you are reeling from the sharp pains of the pernicious and fresh injuries you have just been inflicted by invaders, even as you watch your gaping sores bleed, as you try to bury your dead; with a wry smile on their faces, but without a conscience, they stroke your hair and telepathically whisper soothing words of blackmail, straight from their laptops, into the ears of your brain. In the stillness of that moment, they tell you:

"Those are no wounds, my friend! Those are the therapeutic incisions of this administration to heal the wounds of past administrations!! You should be grateful for it. Thank Baba for it. You hate Baba if you begrudge him your gratitude!!"

Or they say:

"This is no blood my friend, you would be foolish to believe this to be blood. You must hate Buhari to believe you are bleeding. You are not bleeding. These are mere menstrual blood which confirms that this administration is ovulating. We are fertile. It confirms we are seminal. We are about to birth development, hence the blood...it's not blood from injury. It is blood that precedes development."

There is no end to the nonsense we hear on a daily basis, spewed out as excuses or alternatives to the actual realities we feel. These insidious characters, who repeat falsehood on a minute-by-minute basis, just to sway public opinion or emotionally blackmail the populace into accepting the corpse-laden mediocrity called "change", they are the real enemies of Nigeria.

These fellows remind me of Adolf Hitler's recipe for effectively disseminating propaganda. Hitler, when asked how he was so successful in his Aryan supremacy and anti-semitic propaganda, gave a simple recipe on the matter as follows:

a. Keep it simple;

b. repeat it often; and

c. let it burn.

This is what these people are doing to us. They are paid to repeat these lies ever so often, and create and disseminate a reality alternative to and different from what we actually experience daily, that even the strongest of resolves will collapse or buckle under the weight of repetition, with time. You just find yourself accepting the lie, which you know to be a lie, after several repetitions.

So:

a. When it is clear that Buhari is not healthy enough, both physically and mentally, to administer good governance in Nigeria, you suddenly wake up to a wave of propaganda asking you to contrast pictures of an old man drinking palm wine in the village and Buhari who has "magnanimously" undertaken to serve his country. And they politely ask you to feel stupid for daring to question Buhari's health rather than be grateful, when he, out of love for the country, has given up his retirement to come salvage Nigeria.

You know what they are doing here, right? At the end, the question of Buhari's health never gets answered. But you are beaten into feeling guilty for even asking at all. In time and with frequent repetition, the question never gets asked again. You see?

b. When Fulanis attack and ravage a community which is not theirs, these insidious characters quickly jump on the keyboard. First they claim its not Fulanis but foreigners. Then Nasir El-Rufai embarrasses them with an admission that he has had to pay off some herdsmen to stop attacks in Kaduna. Even Miyetti-Allah's ID card is found on the site of some of the massacres. Then they change gear. They start posting pictures of suppose Fulanis killed by Berom youths. You never saw this pictures on social media until people cried out over the Plateau massacre by Fulanis. Suddenly the pictures flood everywhere. They post pictures of the children of the deceased, and tell you how they will suffer as orphans. And they show you pictures of dead cows, and relate it to an unreported incident of how their cows were mindlessly killed. So, the carnage is sold to you as "reprisal killing" and therefore permissible, or even commendable.

But you do know why this is done, don't you? Its emotional blackmail. You the victim, you are to feel sorry for your attackers who have laid your community waste. You are to blame yourself. Perhaps you, your children and your entire lineage deserve to be killed by Fulanis, after all you killed one of their cows, didn't you?

But they are not done. If you speak out, they will post news of body counts in the communal clash in Ebonyi State. They will ask why you are not crying over the dead in Ebonyi but are rather focused only on Plateau ethnic cleansing. "Are the dead in Ebonyi not also Nigerian?" They will ask you.

But you do know why they employ these tactics, don't you? It's called emotional blackmail. The objective is to keep you quiet, out of a sense of guilt. If you didn't speak against Ebonyi, you are not qualified to speak against Plateau. So you keep quiet.

But wait a second,

Have you been told that people who are complaining about hardship in government are those that stole from previous administrations? But you do know its a lie, don't you? There are countries that are prospering and their citizens living well, without corruption. This is the sort of country APC promised. Hardship in times of plenty is never a result of lack of corruption. It's the result of abysmal economic management and policies. But this government will never admit this. Somehow, they are now only content that things are tough. To them, it shows the country is rid of corruption. What madness!!

Have you heard that people hate Buhari because they can no longer steal from public funds, as though we are all in government employment or feed from government? In their eyes, Nigeria has never had a private sector. Everybody fed from government. Of the 200million of us, none has eaten anything that did not come from government. And nothing legitimate came from government. No legitimate business was ever done with or by government. Everything was stolen. So the tougher the hardship, the better the economic outlook is for Nigeria. What sadism!!

Have you not been told that the IGP who could not read from his script was under some bewitchment of agents of previous administrations? Then it was said the script was exchanged by PDP agents. Then it was said the video was doctored to embarrassed the government. Then they flooded the internet with videos of the latter part of the event where the IGP gave a speech without a script and therefore denied that the part that had to do with reading from a script was real. Nobody takes responsibility for anything. It just has to be the fault of the next man!!

Have you heard that this administration is still better than the previous ones because the death tolls don't match? This may sound ridiculous but you will believe if repeated often enough.

During the campaigns, did you not hear that Buhari defeated the Maitatsine uprising because he led the battle "from the front" and so will defeat any such uprising in Nigeria by also leading "from the front"? Well, where was he again when his kinsmen struck and ravished communities in Plateau? APC convention of course!! And where was he when Benue communities were ravaged by his kinsmen. Well, the gentleman was In Ogun, attending to Ajimobi's celebrations!! Perhaps it is I who does not know where a battlefront is or what it means to "lead from the front". Maybe the real battlefront are at merrymaking parties. But what do I know?

Where were you when the propaganda was making the rounds that Buhari had been poisoned by agents of corruption. They concocted this storyline to distract the populace after Buhari spent months abroad on medical trip. When Nigerians started murmuring, the poison narrative was quietly floated purely to distract everyone from the main issue. It was also during these lengthy and secretive foreign medical trips, that we were given several examples of presidents you ruled from wheelchairs and told we were lucky to have one not on a wheelchair but on a hospital bed, which, in their warped opinion, is superior and more tolerable to a wheelchair!! But do you remember that even this was a change in the storyline because Buhari had absolutely denied that he was sick from the onset?

Who was it again that swore never to go for medical trips abroad during campaigns? Was it me?

In fact, when Malaysia recently elected a 92 year old president, our shadowy propagandists went to town with comparisons of what great choice we made in electing the aged Buhari, and how wise we will be re-electing him in 2019, all on account of Malaysia's 92 year old president.

It's a crazy country we live in but its never been this bad. You need to have a very strong mental attitude to contend with the unremitting wave of propaganda of this administration. It's a blitzkrieg.

To take away propaganda from this government, is to unravel this government completely. It is to find that it is very hollow, like a doughnut. But in most cases, once the veil is removed, you'll also find an unconscionable fellow, seated behind a computer, spewing out carefully crafted alternative realities, to improve the political capital of a government that perhaps knows a little about good governance, but has no true affiliation to it.

It is against this backdrop that I still maintain that these are not the best of times to be Nigerian. By degrees, It is becoming very scandalous to rise and be counted among the lot.

Useless press release. Instead of attacking the message, you are attacking the messenger.
Please Mr Okpere show the world the video of the Central Hospital. A huge structure was commissioned there sometime in 2015 by President Buhari that had been turned into a home by rats and rabbits. Three years after no equipment. Only building.
