Hey guys, I’ve hardly seen people sharing offers for computer science/engineering programs, unlike other programs —even in social sciences. I applied to the computer science/engineering programs at University of Virginia, University of Florida and University of California San Diego and I still haven’t got any decision on my application. Please, who has been admitted to any of these programs? PS: I contacted profs at these programs and they were interested in working with me. 1 Like 1 Share |

Altracey2: Congratulations!! Do you really not know what your half brother does in the States, or you decided to deliberately withhold the information? Do you think that significantly demonstrated your nonimmigrant intent? |

tarantino1: I’m sorry for the denial. I guess what the VO wanted to hear when he asked why your uncle was going to give you that kinda money was simply what you wanted to do with the degree. I’m sure you plan to do something really great with the degree or it’s going to help you immeasurably in some way, that’s why your uncle was convinced that you needed the sponsorship. So the paraphrased question would be “What do you intend to do with this degree?” Or “Why this course?” 1 Like |

RemKen: Do you really not know anyone in the US? She didn’t ask if you have a relative or some sort; the question wasn’t specific. So, I think if you had even had a chat with someone in the US, your response to that question should have been “YES”. Just what I think though!! 1 Like |

Hello friends, please is there any alumni or current graduate student at the University of Texas at Arlington? I am about to submit my application for a PhD in the CSE department and would like to know how strict the GRE and TOEFL requirements are, especially for Nigerians. Although on the graduate catalog of the department, an unconditional admission status is reserved for those who meet the first 6 criteria, including CGPA, course rigor, former institution’s fame, among others, I would really love to hear from an insider. Thanks, in advance, for your response. |
