SOMEBODY HELP!!! I am urgently in need of the nairalanders' assistance. Please, there has been conflicting information as regards the recommended texts to be read for Literature-in-English in the imminent JAMB exam. I want to confirm the accuracy of these reports. According to some sites, the 'texts' correspond with the last years' while a number of other sites keep to using the penulmate ones. The 'texts' are not by any means relevant to the previous years' as related by myschool.com.ng... This, I must say, has created indecisive conclusion as to the ones with which to stick for the coming exam. Pls, somebody help!!! Drama African: Harvest of Corruption Non-African: Othello Prose African: (i) Faceless (ii) Lonely Days Non-African: Native Son Poetry African: Vanity; Ambush; Piano and Drums; They Dining Table; The Panic of Growing Older; The Anvil and the Hammer Non-African: Crossing the Bar; The Pulley; The School Boy; The Proud Kind as the widespread information on the 'texts' goes... Pls, how accurate are these |

The only thing abt which am most concerned is on securing ON-CAMPUS accommodation and I hv sought constructive alternative elsewhere... Meanwhile, i hv got nothing, whatsoever, to worry abt. |

SaintRobs:I hv been to the computer center (M15) several times, all to no avail... Mark my statement. What the woman there will tell you is to go back to the bank at which the payment was made to repost the money for you. An action the bank will describe as 'impossible', claiming that reposting of the already posted money will require another payment. And who is ready to bear that?? I hv paid my last visit to Wema Bank yesterday and the manager showed me a number of affected students who are also waiting patiently to see what the consequence might be. While I do not discourage ur intention of going to the school, am of the opinion that WE NEED to exercise a lot of patience. The manager at the bank told me that the problem is btw the school and the banks, and necessary steps are underway to rectify the issue of delay confirmation of our payments. The fact remains that 'MANY students are affected'. Just keep ur evidence of payment well well 1 Like |

SaintRobs:My payment (main fee) too was made last week Thursday and it is yet to be confirmed. My great concern is over application for bed space. The lastest info i got from bank wen speaking with Wema Bank general manager (oau branch) on phone was that they hv had meeting with the sch management yesterday (over d issue), the outcome of which was to shut down the eportal until all these kinds of problem are solved. A week ultimatum was then given (by d bank) to find the last solution to the issue of delay confirmation of payments. So, i think we should be patient (thou with little effort we may like to make). |

Let me, with a considerable degree of detail, elaborate more on this point. This will, in my view, enhance clarity of the subject assumed. First of all... On your first log on, when eportal opens 'undergraduate login' link for 2014/2015 Harmattan Session, you will be asked to enter your jamb registration number. And then, in the second field, you will be asked to enter your password (that is where you will SET your password (no appropriate payment is necessary to have been made before one creates a password, I mean, on your first time on 'undergraduate login' link) [1. Log on to the University e-portal using your registration number and the password you used last on the portal] *1*... This logging on will allow you to print ONLY SLIPS with which you will make appropriate payments [Candidates are required to pay appropriate charges as indicated WITH A COPY OF PAYMENT SLIP DOWNLOADED ON OAU E-PORTAL] *2*... The account number to which a student is to pay will be displayed on those slips. After loggin in, printing of slips, payments of (especially acceptance) fee(s) [Confirmation of admission... shall commence with the payment of acceptance fee of N20,000 (fresh students only)] *3*, you will then have access to 'filling bio-data, course registration forms etc'. [Candidates shall thereafter continue with the registration procedure as detailed out on the eportal]*4*; [The Course Registration Form will only be available upon (a) successful filling of forms (i) and (ii) above... (b) Payment of appropriate charges at the banks]*5* Payment of Acceptance fee FIRST and then other payments follow [The schedule of OTHER CHARGES for the session is as detailed below...]*6* There is no way one can pay acceptance fee without having got hold of payment slip with which he/she will make the payment at any designated banks. And there is no way one can print payment slip without having given the liberty of logging on to the eportal. [All screening are to be done on-line]*7* .................. 1. www.oauife.edu.ng <Resumption for the 2014/2015 academic Session> (IV. Procedure for Accessing the e-portal) 2.
